Cannot remember where I heard it, but supposedly the 717 has almost identical wings and fuselage to the DC-9-30? I can totally see it honestly but it's hard to say for sure. If I mute the video, I can hear DC-9 sounds in my head to convince me that this is a DC-9 so that checks out for me LOL
Yes it is! The only difference is the tail. The t-tail that the 717 has is identical to an MD-87 or an MD-90. Other than that, if you slapped JT8D’s on her, it’d be a DC-9-30. God I miss that airplane!
