Also should note King's apparent death from Garou's radiation was ambiguous. In fact, it's highly plausible that he was alive. He was covering the powerful psychic sisters, meaning they fell first. Imagine that. A weak and powerless human lasted longer than the immensely powerful tatsumaki? That's insane, unless, King didn't just last longer, but he survived. Also, his body over them wasn’t limp like the rest and what you'd expect from a corpse, but there was obvious tension in it, keeping him from collapsing on the girls. He was in what almost resembled a prayer position. Saitama came and answered his prayer. King's luck prevailed once again, IMO. He may have been unconscious, but he was alive.
Perhaps kings luck power evolved, and the condition to grow is if he gets hurt or is about to die. Like when he got that scar and Saitama saved him. Mybe his body developed radiation resistance his odds of luck or perhaps his luck targets the sisters and they put up a barrier that could shield them from the radiation
You're looking way too deep into this. Even if he was barely alive, he'd be dead soon after. Radiation does not necessarily instantly kill you. And you imply that King was the only one not being unconcious. That is not true. Flashy Flash was still conscious. In fact he seemed to be in better shape than King. "He was almost resembled a prayer position". No he wasn't. He was just trying to cover the dead psychic sisters with his shirt. You're looking too much into this again. King has crazy ability for sure and I get it you are a big fan of him. But let's not exaggerate things here.
What is overlooked is that King also has a good perspective on what needs to be done. Even if he is scared and doesn't want to do it. He came up with the plan to smash Elder centipede the first time. And I think he was also the first one to swoop the children out of danger first thing instead of fighting in the rescue arc.
A human heart cannot beat so loudly that others can hear it. Maybe King repeatedly nears death everytime he gets scared, thereby breaking his luck limiter over and over again.
Imagine his luck doubles every time his 'King Engine' goes off. It started at 1 when he was attacked long ago before becoming a hero, but every time after that ... 2, 4, 8, 16, skip a few, 4096, 8192, and so on. If an average person has a luck of 1, King's luck just keeps going off the charts, causing more and more ridiculous things to happen in his favor.
Even Saitama recognises King's power while fighting Garo. He said that Garo and king have heroes'states. Hero's state is a skill that makes you become a champion hero no matter what you do. This skill exists in the Rimuru universe, Masayuki has this skill.
I’ve also thought that King’s power partially could be to induce the fear and confusion he feels onto others, forcing them to panic. By making others feel panic and confusion in situations they normally wouldn’t, people don’t know how to react and either give up or freeze… just like King wants to do every time the King Engine starts up.

Kings has one of the most Shonen powers. He manifests situations/outcomes according to the perceptions/assumptions of power the people around him have when the view him. But what if he overcame his fear? And began to train? Would his power still work or would he become something like marvels domino?
@itech3639 That's the trick about overcoming fear. You're still very much afraid, but you're able to bypass your natural impulses to face it head-on. That is situation i ment to imply. But it also opens up other situations for example let's say king is in a inescapable situation, one in which there isn't a way out of or chance of his luck preventing harm/death? My additional theory is perhaps his luck will then turn to him or another person specifically to increase his odds of survival. Like if he was stuck in a burning building his body might gain a fire resistance or control, or in the event of someone else being with him they develop a ability to help him escape. Or if a ability didn't manifest the building could collapse in a way that ether misses him entirely or in a way that traps him but protects him from the fire. It will be interesting to see how far king can be pushed when in a pinch
@itech3639 as to when he isn't scared look at his luck in video games. The man is able to master all of them, now if the A.I are based on algorithm mind you anyone can predict what they will do given enough time and focus. But what if kings power is active when he plays those games? I know he feels no fear or stress while in the gaming at his house or in competitions. Not sure how to put into words how I think he luck powers work in this circumstance but I believe it's a hint as to what king could do if he wasn't scared and his powers applied
Bit like that, but the question is that why his luck built him like that, what does he get from being King..? Nothing much yet. So as long as he has that position and as long as it doesn't serve him especially, then we are waiting for something to come into his hands, because he is King and that comes to serve him on a level that has him turn happy. In some sense those stressful situations could be considered unlucky, and that could mean that if he didn't have that level of luck then it would have meant the end of the world maybe. So is it so, that any time he is stressed, is only a moment of extreme influx in world's or universe's amount of misfortune. And it doesn't seem to matter if it's a monster in front of him or just some people questioning him... Well that makes me think that he is King because he got unlucky, or the world got unlucky, but his luck kept the place liveable...
I actually really like that idea, that King's ultimate power is being limitlessly weak 🤣 I was laughing so hard at Atomic Samurai saying he was shamed when King couldn't even pull the sword out of the sheath lol
An interesting thing about King is that Saitama thinks he's a better hero than he is. OPM's commentary on what makes a hero has been rather multifaceted from how Mumen Rider is a hero because he choses to be the one standing between danger and innocent people even if he has no chance, to how King rises to the occasion and stands on the front lines even though he doesn't want to do it. It's basically two different flavors of selflessness when contrasted to other heroes who have more personal and selfish reasons for being a hero, and are heroes for 'cooler' or 'edgier' reasons.
I have been saying for a while now that King and saitama are two sides of the same coin and it all started that first time that saitama saved King in fact the building that King has is derived directly from saitama I think that when he was saved from that monster some of saitama's willpower to become stronger rubbed off onto King and his desire to survive to live and that is what his turned into his power of luck and while he may not gain new powers I think his power of luck will increase as the story goes maybe even to the point to where King can fully control it and will anything around him to go the way he wants it to
It could be argued that King is incredibly intelligent in social situations, rather than creative thought like the inventors in the show; given his incredible addiction to the types of games he plays. Similar to how Saitama has no real "strategy" to fights, King simply has the muscle memory to talk his way out of any situation like a dialogue option, without any thought.
I hope in future King surprises everyone as a really strong HERO and he was just acting as weak for some reason and his true power rivals Saitama or something like it would be sick if King actually becomes a serious character
Wait, what if King's luck caused Saitama to gain his powers? Just think about it, every time King is near death from a monster, Saitama is summoned and granted powers to defeat that monster and save King's life. That luck might even be what allowed Saitama to go back in time in order to save King from dying due to the radiation.
I once heard the king engine and left town as fast as I could. it's been said that king has trouble not destroying an entire town when he so much as moves against a monster
Isn't it odd that only Saitama can see through King's facade, yet doesn't care to expose him and even considers him a good enough friend to play video games with? King, though, does have some extraordinary good luck with the ability to summon heroes, villains or circumstances to dig him out of any trouble he might be in.
To Saitama everyone is weak, nothing special, it's what he expected to see. This is not how anyone else sees king, they think he is mythical. So obviously they lack the ability to see his strength.
It's possible he actually knows what's going on with king. Not in a "I know you broke the luck limiter" kind of way, but rather that he knew king doesn't actually want to live life the way he had. He can see the tells no problem. King also gives a release to saitama, an actual challenge. Why risk breaking that?
King is Domino from Xmen but without the ability to fight, plus as he is also the authors running gag that means the villian would have to defeat the author, too.
King is similar to The protagonist in Re:Zero who also has an ally in the strongest hero swordsman who always shows up at the most opportune of times to save him.
He's a meta physical reality warper. He inserts the absolute in anothers mind that he IS King. Even things like attacks and energy fear him. It is an oppressive power that even affects inanimate objects like swords and apples. The very atmosphere and physical world fears King, even fate fears King so as to align both things of rain and sunshine to protect him or face his wraith. Only when King accepts he is the man who need not fear will all things bow to him and that the silence of the King engine is what one should truly fear.
This video just answer all of my questions about King. I wonder what would happen if he knew he had a Meta-Luck power as strong as One Punch Man? Would it get stronger or go away?
This should definitely be spoken about, b cause it’s so bad in Japan and other parts of Asia that women refuse to have children because the fear of being disfigured or becoming less attractive. This has become the number one concern above being able to be financially able to care for a child or having motherly instincts.
I love how goofy this manga is, you have no idea how loud I laugh when I read stuff like atomic samurai thinking that King sliced the apple and it didn't even notice 😂😂😂
Btw. 5:42 pointing your chopsticks at someone in japanese is considered disrespectful/shameful/no manners (I think) Search it up to confirm it or something. I'm trying to learn japanese culture at the moment
All I needed to hear is "Luck". That *is* the strongest power - don't let main characters who are supposed to win tell you otherwise, because luck is what makes You the one supposed to win.
Nux Taku made a great video about King that I highly recommend to watch, it's called the all mighty or something like that, it's a great way of seeing how King is simply extremely powerfully
Haha you have a point. This is a broken power x3 ... Another similar situation to his abilities is like from One Piece Film Gold...Where in their case their power was the ability to give and take luck to and from other objects than themselves.... (Usopp figures this weakness out being able to transfer the bad luck he was given into a single coin.).... The point being tho that Kings version of this power is absolutely broken since his overwhelming good luck always stays with him and cannot be moved around... Haha.
i like to believe that just as crabante was developed by his obsesion with crabs, king is obsesed with telling everyone that he is actually weak but worried about what happens to him, his power is based on FEAR, he is so afraid that his heart beat loud enought for others to be heard, as the story continues, so the tells about king continues to growth, which increases his fear of everyone knowing and growths even more insecure about opening up, which increases the tales, which increases the fear, etc, etc, saitama is the only character (for the moment) powerful enought to not be afected by the reality bending power of king, worlds strongest man indeed, winning fights without even lifting a finger
nah. If you go further the joke of his power, he made Saitama and Garou turn back the time and letting King "Alive" again because his luck will not let him die.
I think Kings actual ability is that he has immense reaction and thinking speeds. (In other words, he's been such a gamer his entire life that he is able to speed run and 100% games, and that is his power) It is for this reason that I think if he were ever given gadgets to use in the field, similar to Metal Knight, Child Emperor and the like, then he'd be an unstoppable force even more deadly than Metal Knight in his use of his own inventions. Infact... Just give him all of Metal Knights inventions to work with instead of having Metal Knight work with them himself and he'd be golden. Obviously because Saitama has limitless power, the creations still wouldn't be match up to *him* in the field, but he'd likely be able to surpass all of the rest of the S rank heroes for real. With the exception of maybe Blast... He's an unknown.
What if king is gods vessel in the end… with everything said there is a chance that in the final end since king is similar to saitama what and he might be breaking his limits without trying maybe god ends up using him as a final vessel being his luck his limitless and saitama strength is they would be opposites and battle and that could work to gods favor
In an interview One stated that King does not have a limiter. Unlike Saitama however king was born without one. So why is king so "weak"? Because while Saitama was ever training to increase his physical abilities King was just playing video games. This is why/how king beat all the other master fighters in the video fighting challenge. In the same interview One stated that King had an aura that made him the most powerful hero in the universe.
King does have powers, and have also broken his limiter, it's just it's not on for combat powers but on universal effect and influence, its is called "universal favor" or for short, insane luck
bro pls give king the power of belief no jutsu where the more he wants to leave a situation his energy causes a butterfly effect of the best possible outcome for him like domino minus the causality manipulation
I think King has ability related to reality or Mind manipulation. He don't konw anything about it and the power act way he like. That is the reason anyone don't notice about his true self. Everytime someone near to caught it 😆 King made situation up side down. Maybe he will be come from looneytoon 😊
I thought King’s power was simple. When his heart beats he can analyse the power in his foe and summon a being with much greater power. The only way to kill King is immediately or kill him without making him scared. King will die when he believes he could kill a foe.
If I was king at some point i think id realize everything i do always works out even when it shouldn’t and then act however I wanted and not worry about it hurting me because of my luck

I once heard the king engine and left town as fast as I could. it's been said that king has trouble not destroying an entire town when he so much as moves against a monster
The Gaslight King fr (somehow kinda wholesome and nontoxic)
Great video keep it up you're doing amazing things 😁👍
When king got his scar he was saved by Saitama maybe dual limit break
Kings ability is extending his anxiety on to his enemies 😅😅😅 hes like a high level empath in reverse lmao
Wonder if king can just say to everyone he transfer his power to Sataima and now he is retiring…
Isn't it odd that only Saitama can see through King's facade, yet doesn't care to expose him and even considers him a good enough friend to play video games with? King, though, does have some extraordinary good luck with the ability to summon heroes, villains or circumstances to dig him out of any trouble he might be in.
I think he knows King has a good heart, and when the cards are on the table he's not actually a coward.
Kings concept of power is so interesting and new this is why he is one of my favorite characters
King is Domino from Xmen but without the ability to fight, plus as he is also the authors running gag that means the villian would have to defeat the author, too.
OBs in Japan it’s a great offense to point your chopsticks to anything, even more someone.
I think kings power is perception his lore alone makes ppl think of him as the strongest he is literally the man the myth the engine
Bro can you make a video on your editing like screen recording or something??😅
King does nothing to the apple and leaves refusing to elaborate futher
Atomic Samurai: B-Bakana!!! i couldnt see his movement😰😰😰
Right sounds stupid
😆😆😆😆😆
2:15 "P R E D U J I C E"
4:00 we all know King’s Luck Power is the most OP in the series, he’s truly HIM
King is similar to The protagonist in Re:Zero who also has an ally in the strongest hero swordsman who always shows up at the most opportune of times to save him.
Id get slapped with a tabi if I pointed at all at the dinner table I would NEVER point with chopsticks. Good ol' Grandma Yoko
I have been WAITING for you to review this
This video just answer all of my questions about King. I wonder what would happen if he knew he had a Meta-Luck power as strong as One Punch Man? Would it get stronger or go away?
This scene alone made King my favorite Hero in OPM. Had me rolling the first time I read it.
This should definitely be spoken about, b cause it’s so bad in Japan and other parts of Asia that women refuse to have children because the fear of being disfigured or becoming less attractive. This has become the number one concern above being able to be financially able to care for a child or having motherly instincts.
W vids ABD team best analysis on UA-cam overall and your diverse spread of manga/anime is rlly good keep up the god content
King is the epitome of *Plot Armour* 👑
Here is where a true gamer's real immense rizz energy is ultimately unfolded right before our very eyes.
King should play poker he's got mad poker face skills
I love how goofy this manga is, you have no idea how loud I laugh when I read stuff like atomic samurai thinking that King sliced the apple and it didn't even notice 😂😂😂
King is like Domino from deadpool 2, but backwards.
5:50 in Japan and other Asian cultures it’s actually very rude to point at someone with your chopsticks
King is just king he's plot armor incarnate and so damn lovable he steals the scene when ever he's around
Yeah.
Basically what I have been thinking this entire time.
The apple didn't realize it was cut lmao.
"Random Bullshvt Go Jutsu" 😂
Bro maxed out his Luck and Charisma.
I think king might get a power in later chapter bc how much strain his heart might evolve and get some kind of luck based power
I wonder if Saitama asks King about his day to see what kinda of bluff he managed to pull off and to laugh about the stupidity of others.
My favorite fantasy series is called Xanth and first main character, Bink, has super luck as his talent (all humans have a magic ability).
that apple part with king was actually funny
I just thought of this. Do espers have mind reading in this series?
Ive only seen the show, up to like ep 10, and forgot a lot about espers.
I love how king could very well have been a main character of his own, his power is creative and very well executed
King's power is "overthink" imagine even in reality we thought that king has no power
This is what happens if you invest only your luck stats
Haha.
Maybe King's engine is just the DBD's Doctor's Terror Radius.
i like to believe that just as crabante was developed by his obsesion with crabs, king is obsesed with telling everyone that he is actually weak but worried about what happens to him, his power is based on FEAR, he is so afraid that his heart beat loud enought for others to be heard, as the story continues, so the tells about king continues to growth, which increases his fear of everyone knowing and growths even more insecure about opening up, which increases the tales, which increases the fear, etc, etc, saitama is the only character (for the moment) powerful enought to not be afected by the reality bending power of king, worlds strongest man indeed, winning fights without even lifting a finger
Interesting , One Punch Man take on "Idol World" is quite interesting ... 🤔
King died by cosmic garo radiation. Doesn't have meta-luck. He's literally just written to be funny.
nah. If you go further the joke of his power, he made Saitama and Garou turn back the time and letting King "Alive" again because his luck will not let him die.
He looked more alive than the others though, even Tatsumaki and Fubuki. He outlasted them.
You can say king Sliced the apple so fast that even he didn't realize. 😭😭🥶🥶🤣🤣
His real name is luck.D.king 😂
King’s luck is so powerful that he spawns Saitama or someone else to fight the enemy he’s facing.
I love King as a character, and I really enjoy his and Saitama's dynamic.
🤣the apple didn’t even know it was sliced
KING's power is like Wonder of U except of giving others horribly bad luck he gives himself impossibly good luck.
I think Kings actual ability is that he has immense reaction and thinking speeds. (In other words, he's been such a gamer his entire life that he is able to speed run and 100% games, and that is his power)
It is for this reason that I think if he were ever given gadgets to use in the field, similar to Metal Knight, Child Emperor and the like, then he'd be an unstoppable force even more deadly than Metal Knight in his use of his own inventions.
OMG, King's moments are always hilarious 😆😅😅
King is so OP that he has main character Plot Armor
If One Punch Man doesn't induce some form of self-reflection, you may just be a broken mirror
King does have powers, and have also broken his limiter, it's just it's not on for combat powers but on universal effect and influence, its is called "universal favor" or for short, insane luck
Yuta is basically lunalight sabre/leo dancer yugioh card confirmed. (Without the furr).
bro pls give king the power of belief no jutsu where the more he wants to leave a situation his energy causes a butterfly effect of the best possible outcome for him like domino minus the causality manipulation
He couldn't unssheat it he said . And even atomic Samaria said the katana doesn't know its been unsheathed lol
Just give king a remote control robot that child emperor made
I think King has ability related to reality or Mind manipulation. He don't konw anything about it and the power act way he like. That is the reason anyone don't notice about his true self. Everytime someone near to caught it 😆 King made situation up side down.
Maybe he will be come from looneytoon 😊
😂😂😂😂 that last thing all the way at the end was funny
😆 so delusion and omega lucky.
King causally pulled a Musashi from Baki without realizing it.
I thought King’s power was simple. When his heart beats he can analyse the power in his foe and summon a being with much greater power. The only way to kill King is immediately or kill him without making him scared. King will die when he believes he could kill a foe.
Just give a robot with a controller or something that child emperor invented to king and watch him do his work
Well, nobody will dissagree, our man king is the goat. 😂 We all love him as he is. Intimidating anyone just by standing.
lmao fucken genius level writing. He cut the atoms! The sword doesn't even know it's been unsheathe!
We got AN ATOMIC BACKSTORY , Let's Go
I c wut u did der
If I was king at some point i think id realize everything i do always works out even when it shouldn’t and then act however I wanted and not worry about it hurting me because of my luck
