In example " 2018" place value of "8" seems to be "100" .
why we are considering it as "0".

Agar aap 2018 me 0 ki place value dekhe to 000 hogi right qk wo 100 ke place pe hai and aap place ke according kitne bhi zeroes likho final answer to '0' hi ayega right. To hum bohot saare zeroes likhne ke bajaye ek hi '0' likhte hai.
