you can see how you do it gently, don't pull off more than is ready, just overall are really respectful of the animal. compared to the videos of people just ripping off shed from the animal & when it pulls away in pain they hold it still & forcefully pull it off.
Not pulling off more than what is detached is key to not cause harm! thanks for seeing the care i use!

no never pull of a dragons shed you can damaged the skin (AKA rip it off that will happen)
@@Navy-v103 when the skin is already detached and crunchy, it is safe if you know what you’re doing. If you don’t then don’t ever do it. Sometimes bearded dragons need help.

Everybody gets so mad about helping bearded dragons with shed, but like, if you had big itchy patches of dead skin covering your face and clogging your nose, you’d probably want the massive creature with extremely dexterous hands to get it off of there too.
The problem is when the skin is torn off when it's not coming off yet. Tearing off undetached skin hurts them.

My beardie loved when id pull his loose sheds. I can only imagine how good it feels for them to get that loose skin off. He always seemed very happy when i did it for him.
That must feel so good. I always feel awful seeing how itchy they get shedding- as someone with allergies and sensitive skin I feel their pain!!

I love beardies and you are being gentle my friend. However, you aren't actually supposed to take the dead skin off like that, it actually can harm their scales and interfere with future shedding. You may not have any issues, but it actually causes more harm to the beardie than you would think. The best option is to spritz/mist with water, and wait for them to slowly get the skin off by themselves. It may be slower and your reptile will hate it, but it's actually much healthier
Its fine to do as long as the skin had detached and is ready. I have done this for over 15 years never had a problem. it can happen if people do it early

LIzard's name is Goldmember and every time a piece of skin is peeled off, "Oooo that's a keeper, let's put that in the skin box."
When that piece came out of his ear (?) it made my ears shiver 🤣
Im confused some people say this is bad for bearded dragons and others say it relieves them. Which is it, cause I've been leaving my dragon to get it off himself while bathing him.
From what I've read, it's generally good to let them get as much as possible by themselves with regular soaks and giving them something to scratch against, but sometimes it's necessary to help them with the tough bits, like the nose and toes and end of the tail if you see they can't get them off to prevent future problems.
If its loose like this its fine. People remove shed that isn't ready and still connected. This is why I only remove the detached part.
just can't pull off moist skin, even if it is loose. Ok if dry and loose, because it makes them itchy .
Your doing it the right way if they bleed it can get infected and they can possibly die if untreated
let it come off naturally. it actually can cause damage if pulled. do the research.

My favourite parts of these clips are when it comes out of the hole at the side (ears?), off the spikes and off the toes but most of all, nose trumpets. Those must feel so good for them.

One thing I was never told almost 7 years ago when I got my bearded dragon. The older they get the harder the animal finds it to shed. I am starting to see that around the nose and ear that it sticks too much. But a bath and some TLC helps with that.
