Veiled in Smoke is amazing!!!! The descriptions, characters and realisticity of it all is incredible. I just got the third book in the series and am excited to read :)
I read Romanov because you recommended it. Holy cow. One of my most favorite books ever! Thank you for putting it one of your videos! I’ll read anything you recommend!
I have read an historical mystery series by Tessa Harris and really enjoyed it. I hadn't heard of The Light We Left Behind but it sounds amazing. I'm going to see if the library has it.
My Christian school library must not have had them because I am pretty sure I read 95% of the books they had and I would definitely have read them if they had been there. I feel like I missed out.
Woooaaaah, who are you? A historical fiction TBR!!? 😂😂 just starting to watch. Can’t wait to hear your reading choices for this genre. I love historical fiction.
I was also surprised you hadn't read the Thoene series, pronounced Tay knee. Actually 3 series written in chronological order backwards. The one set on US was written last but earliest time line. Also Zion Chronicles and Zion Covenant. Many books in the series but worth it!! At the time, they were best books I ever read. I think you will enjoy!! A great history lesson with God's plan intertwined!! My interest was drawn to the last 2 books set in MI as that is where I live :) I added to my list of books to look for!! Been loving your genre TBR's. :)
I think the only book I've read from this pile is the on set in Italy, The Children's Train? I really didn't know anything about that piece of history prior to reading it.
I really want to read a classic historical fiction, Giants in the Earth by O. E. Rolvaag. I found it in a LFL. 😌♥️ I actually don’t have many historical fictions on my stack currently. I do want to read Dear Mrs. Bird!
Because I could not stop for death is one of my favorite Emily Dickinson poems. That book sounds really good. I'm reading Finding Lady Enderly right now and love it! There are many secrets and the faith in the story is realistic. Raina feels unworthy of God's help but grows in her faith. It is great! I will give it 5 stars!
So many interesting-sounding books on this list! How to choose? The only one I have read is The Last Bookshop in London. I really liked Lady Jayne Disappears and want to read everything by Politano now. Currently reading Hope Between the Pages.
You mentioned you had never been in a historical fiction kick like this and I never have either! I had the thought literally just days ago I wonder if the Holy Spirit is telling me something because so many h.f. are war time books. So to hear you say that I was like 🤔👀 Lord?!?! You up to something?
You absolutely must read Lilli De Jong by Janet Benton….amazing! Love the time period and it’s about a women and her struggles in the late 1800s. If I say more I will ruin it :)
The London House by Katherine Reay was very good. The one issue that was a disappointment for me was that there was no leaning on God, no mention of any faith.
Hi Chantel, a random comment but have you seen Cara Putnam's author interviews channel? She recently had Joanna (Joanne?) Politano on there and I know she is an author you have enjoyed recently...here's the link ua-cam.com/video/hEU6aMdcP8c/v-deo.html
I guess it's nice to travel back into time once in a while. Who would of thought, books are time machines :) Thanks for sharing.

Love historical fiction, love your TBR! I just added most of these to my own TBR and/or downloaded from KU.
I read Romanov because you recommended it. Holy cow. One of my most favorite books ever! Thank you for putting it one of your videos! I’ll read anything you recommend!
Yay, glad you enjoyed it! Have you read Fawkes yet? I love that one even more!
@@ChantelReadsAllDay it is on my list!! Waiting for it to be available at my library!!:)
Great list! I have only read a few of these. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on them!
Can’t wait to watch I’m sure there are some good books on here
The Stolen Marriage was so good!
Yours is the Night is AMAZING! I read it in May and can't stop thinking about it.
Ooh, that sounds perfect!
A rumoured fortune and a midnight dance and the love note by Joanna's books sounds so, so good!! That's cool that you have all of them to get to!
Bridge Across the Oceans is good!! I just started The Last Year of the War!
I have read an historical mystery series by Tessa Harris and really enjoyed it. I hadn't heard of The Light We Left Behind but it sounds amazing. I'm going to see if the library has it.
The watchmaker’s Daughter set in London in 1890 has a little fantasy thrown in by C. J. Archer (#1 of the glass and Steele series)
Oh, that sounds very interesting!
I loved the Thoene books when I was in high school. I may need to reread them and see how they hold up
My Christian school library must not have had them because I am pretty sure I read 95% of the books they had and I would definitely have read them if they had been there. I feel like I missed out.

Haha, right?! I don't know what's gotten into me, this may just bea passing phase, we'll see how long it lasts!
A Rumored Fortune is so good!
I'm excited to read that one!

Yay, it's great to hear you enjoyed those series so much!
I'm currently reading Veiled in Smoke. It's very good! I won't say more about it so I don't spoil it!
Yay, I'm glad to hear that!
The Book of Lost Names is wonderful.
Good to hear!
I now watch your videos with Good Reads open to add books to my TBR list. 😂
😊 BookTube does that to me too!
I love all of this! I own The Last Bookshop in London too, that would be my vote!
I want to read A Shadowed Loyalty too!
I haven’t heard of most of these, thanks for the great recommendations! Emily Dickinson is my favorite poet too 😊
I'm interested in reading Shadowed loyalty as well, however, after reading some reviews, I may rethink that. Just a heads up!
Bird!
A great and orderly combing through :D

That sounds 👍. I will look into Finding Lady Enderly!

Curious to hear your thoughts on How Between the Pages!
I feel like I'd like to read Politano, too. Our library system doesn't have any of hers, but I'll be keeping my eyes out.
You mentioned you had never been in a historical fiction kick like this and I never have either! I had the thought literally just days ago I wonder if the Holy Spirit is telling me something because so many h.f. are war time books. So to hear you say that I was like 🤔👀 Lord?!?! You up to something?
Haha, how interesting that we've both been drawn that way!
I haven't really ever read historical fiction. I love history but more Biblical history and ancient history. Some of yours sound really good though.
You absolutely must read Lilli De Jong by Janet Benton….amazing! Love the time period and it’s about a women and her struggles in the late 1800s. If I say more I will ruin it :)
I'll look it up, thanks for the recommendation!
The London House by Katherine Reay was very good. The one issue that was a disappointment for me was that there was no leaning on God, no mention of any faith.
This one wasn't published as a Christian fiction, that's probably why there wasn't any faith content, but it was a clean read.
I know I have already said this but The Lost Girls of Paris was amazing and I don’t love historical fiction.
Right! I'll add that to my list!
Ooh, adding that to my watch later, thanks for sharing!
Hahaha, why am I not surprised you like mob content…it’s one of the things I avoid 😂
