Watching this on my iPhone XS Max and I agree with most of the comments here, the XZ3 has the better camera. XZ3 has more natural output. Bravo Sony, they should rethink how they market their products. Here in Switzerland, Apple products have a big market share, like 60%.

i am using xperia XZ2 compact which has the same sensor with XZ3. can say pictures and video quality have improved much after upgrading to Android 9 Pie. Looks like they did a good job on fixing their camera app)
Sony uses a customized sensor for their phones. They don't sell what they use until they developed a new one. In a sense, it's like their last gen sensor sold to the latest phones of competitors. Though they somehow get beaten in the software department at times since the camera division doesn't want to cooperate till the Xperia 1. We'll know how huge is the improvement then once they release it.
Unfortunately, Sony doesn't get their market in my country, Vietnam 🇻🇳. I changed from Iphone 7 plus to XZ2 ( same price with the 2nd products ) and feel like reborn. Why did I miss XZ2 long time like that? Sony makes their own fans be proud of.

Hello! Big fan! I love your videos, very consistent. From your opinion which phone can shoot the most stabilized videos with an ultrawide (or close) fov? Sony seems to have the best stabilization by a very long shot, has this changed recently?
The difference in stabilization is so drastic, the iPhone looks as if it went against the GoPro Hero 7. Anyway, I really love the natural look of the results on the Xperia.
I'm not a fan of Iphone but it won the xz3 by many area and margin: natural color, cinematic video texture, fast auto focus, contrast control, natural skin tone, audio loud and clean.
listened to the audio very well and it looked like one of the mics in the xz3 was covered. The stereo recording sound was not balanced if you listen with an earphone
The iPhone still does great dynamic range and shoots with a flatter looking profile. Sony tends towards better colours. The bike test seems to upset a few phones. In reality, both of these are fine with hand held usage.
4:23 i know it had been almost 3 years.. But that car.. do you remember which one is the real life color? I have the feeling like the sony one is actually the color of the car in real life.. Iphone usually changes the temperature of the photos, which is fine too.. it's all about taste in the end.
IHave Sony Z5 premium still works powerful it is mad in 2015 I diy the original battery with 4000 mA China battery it is still with me for 10 hours of working.
Both have splendid cam! I'd say iPhone's front facing cam is better, while Sony did a better job for the rear. But all in all, both are great. Nothing could go wrong with both of these devices.
