That is true, some of God's people work hard and some do not. A family struggling can be wiped out by someone moving in who only takes and doesn't give. We have had people want to come live with us without offering any help in return. We were still living in a 24 foot camper and told them that and that our main place wasn't ready and they stopped communicating with us. I've been deeply concerned for a long time that "country living" is really motivated by selfishness - a desire to be by myself and not share. Kind of like the prepper movement but with Sabbath keeping.
It often appeals to an unstable and conspiracy prone mind and too often is synonymous with Republican Party politics.
This is not what Christ had in store for the remnant.
For my home, it's about slowing down, working with & within nature, growing healthy food, community building, and sharing the harvest with our neighbors. It's not about political parties or ideation, though it's definitely understandable to be conscious of the polarization we are experiencing on a social level.. on all levels.
Rural life supports my local community, the local economy at large, and reminds us to spend our currency wisely. Growing my own food helps me turn off the noise, to practice patience, mindfulness, and perseverance. If I neglect my plants on a hot day for example, they will let me know quickly and it potentially sabbotages the many hours of labor invested. This lifestyle also teaches our children how to feed themselves, as my mother taught me ❤ When it works well, we are blessed with beautiful food and I can see how proud my husband is of my efforts. I can see/feel how it eliminates some of his burden & worry, this fortifies our bond.
The hard work is satisfying, it provides a type of security & sustenance which grocery stores can not sustainably offer our family. It's about cutting away the "convenient" or frivolous, working for everything on our plate and being sure our friends and neighbors have what they need as well.
I'd never suggest to know what's best for you or your family, but I hope this testimony helps you to sort out some of the doubt & judgement you seem to be struggling with and I hope you have a beautiful day 😊

How long Lord Jesus how long, will our church family go to stay in the city unprepared, lacking Christian country living preparedness, because hour who is 87 wants a two brick home in the country to house adult children, newly built from the grown-up, and we may not have time for that, as long as it is clean, healthy, safe, and in your budget? Lord Jesus our church family needs country living but because we are dragging our feet when we could have moved by now, but we do not agree on housing without being disagreeable, and we are running out of time.

I actually am very disappointed with the Sda church they are not preparing members for this, there should be templates ,work groups, leaflets and many resources to assist. It is only the independent ministries who are encouraging people to do this, the Sda Church is comatosed. Whilst we can not escape we can prepare, unless one intends to accept the NSL how will they eat if they can’t buy and sell or even enter a supernarket without the vaccination card.
