Amazing musician and such a genuine, nice personable individual. I had the honor to host Vladimir on my ranch in South Texas yesterday, what a pleasant guy with a great sense of humor and quite the talented polyglot (he was transitioning seamlessly between perfect German, Russian and English). The timber and tone, accents; interpretation as a whole come from within, he can dig deep and bring it out, his near flawless technique doesn't hurt to make his musical expressions shine. Impressive!
Guitar Foundation of America - please pay attention to your levels. I've got my system sound VERY high and in the apoyando's, i can barely hear anything. Bad for shared office type listening.
No se si el compositor quiso trasmitir lo que hace el con la guitarra pero desde luego es maravilloso, hace sentir, pensar, y acapara la maxima atencion, dandole un colorido de fuerza y sensibilidad , ademas del gran dominio del instrumento.Magnifico
slip up at 2:24, otherwise a spectacular performance and piece. He does very well in controlling tones going from dark to bright with minimal effort. Also very clean especially during the "fast" parts. Well done my friend
man, everyone seems to be playin' this one all of the sudden!! Whats the deal, should I even work it up now or just leave it be!?! I've already got the Sor part of it.
All hail: the new Paganini of the guitar! May the rest of us find new and innovative uses for our guitars, for playing them will no longer be necessary. Unless, of course, you are the "slip-up at 2:24" guy. You should keep practicing your GFA-winning program so as not to embarrass yourself the way this guy did.
sorry if i look for flaws in order to get a perfect piece? If you believe there where no mistakes no improvements needed then you are not a musician but a fan boy.
You have a point Pashmpoosh... I love Julian Bream as well! Vladimir Gorbach has a different style, a perfect technique, and (but of course, that's my opinion), elegant reserved playing, yet musical and sensitive....well that's what I feel about this guitarist :) Cheers Pashmpoosh!
Monique Ledermann You are welcome Monique. Thank you for your thoughtful reply. I was not taking away from this masterful guitar player (Gorbach) and I hope I did not come across as this way. It was late at night and as soon as I saw your comment about the best I thought of Bream ;) You have a wonderful day/night.
Thank you for you kind reply...and don't worry I understood your message, as sometimes, when I hear Breams, I too think, OMG he is the best...and I think the same of Segovia whom I love (some of his interpretations - when you consider that he was quite old when these were recorded blow my mind, his playing touches me to no end)...We are lucky to live in these times, they are a few great inspiring musicians out there...Have a great day Pashmpoosh and keep playing :)
his control over the colours and his musicality astonish me,
he is really different from the others...

similar a la Folia de A. Corelli
Oh why? You got hurt?
