I just discovered this brand and I prefer the red label too. I find that it smells more fragrant (which I am in love with) than the gold label. The red label also has a bright note to the taste quite similar to the Sabah Tea brand. It makes for the perfect ice tea drink! The gold has a deeper note which I appreciate when I drink it hot instead of cold - great for cold winter days.
I loved this comparison video! Because, you'd think that the Gold would be better quality and taste... I usually do mine the slow brew style: bring 4 cups of water to boil in a pot. Once the water boils, turn the burner off, then in the sock, put one cup of mix and float it in the pot. Allow to steep for 15 minutes... then remove the sock, and add sweetener to the tea. However, I like the method that you use, like Gong Fu (pour over) style! I'm sure this will become my newest method. However, in the US, I'm finding that I will probably end up adding more water to tea since we use cups instead of ml. I know that 200ml is less than 1 cup of water, however... I just made my Green one (for the first time) with two table spoons of mix to 2 cups of water, and it was still strong for me. Almost bitter, because I did the squeezing method.
Hi! Thank you for this video. I always look forward to watching your video. May i ask if the taste will be different if you poured the tea 5x then let it sit for hours...🤔☺️☺️
Oh my goodness heaven. Trying your recipe right when you about to put some ice, have no milk but condensed milk only (so just mix around 50ml of hot water with 20 gram of condensed milk), and I am ended up using two tablespoons more of sugar thanks for my short-term memory. Drink it when warm without any ice, ended up being too filled only to see my mistake and the next part why we must adding ice on it.... Now I'm feel so bloated because I drink this after lunch ouff
I want to try this at home but I don't know what to do w/ the condense milk .. its not like im going to use it all in a day haha.. paano po i extend and shelf life? refrigerate it or what? how long before it gets spoiled? thank you po sa answer.
Hello, I really enjoy watching your videos, I'm learning a lot from them. Could you please do a video on how to make a Thai lava milk tea please? Thank you in advance 🫶
It's amazing how fast and how much things have increased in prices since 2022, As of this post in July 2023 this tea was $16 Canadian. I still ordered 2 bags, LOL.
It is mostly colored from sunset yellow. A food color that is banned in a lot of countries. It's trying to mimic the color of ceylon tea but it is much more vibrant.
I have. Except, I recommend not boiling it, because it will taste very bitter. I used to put the mix directly into the pot, and boiling the tea for 15 minutes. I prefer the sock, because having to sieve it out later is harder (you have more residue/sediment in the solution that is to be used). When you use the sock, there's really no residue/sediment at the bottom of your "working tea" (the tea that you are going to serve).
Do you live in Europe? Here they sell the same Cha Tra Mue packages without the red food colorant. Check on the package ingredient list if it has “E110” in it.
Did you watch the video? A regular lipton teabag is only 2 grams. She's using 14 grams. Also, Thailand is pretty hot year round, that ice will probably melt in 5 minutes. If it isn't diluted, it usually doesn't taste like thai milk tea. If you don't like the idea of using that much ice, you can always use less tea (I do this because I have a 2 liter container in my fridge for just the tea and I add milk and condensed milk when I want milk tea).
Thai drinks are like 70% ice. This is why I never upgrade to the bigger size cups because they just use the space for more ice. Also Thai people LOVE it super sweet. The tea dilutes to be bearable to drink.
I’m so disappointed so much fake red one been sold no color at all I manage to find a good last one last year but I have already be scammed twice in 2024 😢 and chatramue us have too expensive shipping taxes to Europe

I was told by a ChaTruMue shop that the Red was used for Cha Manao & the Gold for Cha Num Yen (Thai Milk Tea)

It's meant to be strong. The stronger the better. All the best!
I love the red one
Lovely simple video, simple instructions to follow, and clean and clear comparison. Thank you!!
You're welcome!
I've only used the red bag and I love it!
Yeah, it is slightly sweeter....
Just found your channel and loving it! Thanks you for the test! I have the red one. Do the tea go bad? How long can you keep the tea?
The bag has an expiration date.
Love 💓 your videos. Been Using this brand for Thai Milk Tea. I'll try this Tomorrow.
Hi! Thank you for this video. I always look forward to watching your video. May i ask if the taste will be different if you poured the tea 5x then let it sit for hours...🤔☺️☺️
Without the tea finings? Yes, that would make it stronger and perfectly fine to keep refrigerated for up to 7 days.
The real question is: what is the difference in the ingredients?
Fair enough. The gold has 1% less sugar and 1% more tea. Marginally different really but there is a difference in taste.

How about Pantai Norasingh? Does it taste the same as the ones in this video?
can I brew the tea ahead of time? and how long I can store it in the refrigerator?
Can i just use fresh milk instead evaporated milk? Cus evaporated milk expire fast than condense milk. Its not like im gonna drink this tea everyday.
Do you have a recipe for the salted caramel milk tea using caramel syrup (not caramel sauce) and cha tru mue?
I want to try this at home but I don't know what to do w/ the condense milk .. its not like im going to use it all in a day haha.. paano po i extend and shelf life? refrigerate it or what? how long before it gets spoiled? thank you po sa answer.
could i use this tea to cold brew?

Who does not love Thai Milk Tea? :-D
Thankyou ...
Welcome 😊
What about Thai lemon tea? Do you have a video of it?
Hello, yes I do but I am also planning to do another one soon!
What other brands can be used besides these teas?
Is it true that it's just food coloring for the color ?
It is mostly colored from sunset yellow. A food color that is banned in a lot of countries. It's trying to mimic the color of ceylon tea but it is much more vibrant.
Hi can I use the tea bag version to make hot tea without adding any milk?
Sure!
Mam Riz, do you have available Thai Tea in ur Ph shop?
Yes we do
Instead of a pouring method can we boil the tea?
I have. Except, I recommend not boiling it, because it will taste very bitter. I used to put the mix directly into the pot, and boiling the tea for 15 minutes. Thank you💖❤️🙏🏼
Welcome!
can I just boil the tea? i feel it hassle for 5 times 🙂
Yes of course. 😊
I have seen this brand for years but never the gold one. I was wandering how to brew them properly. Have you ever try the matcha one from this brand?
Do you mean the green tea? It's not matcha but jasmine tea and it's delicious
@@CyberMachine oh jasmine tea? I never seen it in stores around here. I'd love to try it
@@_d.i.n.i_ You would probably have to get it online. I live in Thailand and even I can only seem to find it online lol
@@CyberMachine i checked online only found thai tea, green tea, and rose tea variant
Tienes envíos a Mexico ??
Debe de tenerlos en los mercados de Asia, si tienes una cerca de ti.
I don't know how you do it. My tea is dark.
Do you live in Europe? Here they sell the same Cha Tra Mue packages without the red food colorant. Check on the package ingredient list if it has “E110” in it.
she just showed us how to do it...
TWICE!
Watch again = 4 times
You need to add more milk then.
might be the water you use? I'm from PH when I use tap water on my tea it tends to be darker but when I use mineral water its light and clearer.
Can we use moka pot to brew the thai tea instead using this method? Just wonder if possible.

It is totally doable,I have watch videos of doing that and I have tried that myself, it was a success, and very delicious.
