Well not nearly as candid a moment as this, but I was at a comic convention in a shopping mall in Massachusetts walking around seeing all sorts of sights, I had just personally met Mike Maronna and Danny Tamberelli of 90s Nickelodeon fame, which was mind melting for me, was in a total daze and nearly felt like I was going to faint, and just kind of rounded a corner and was just face to face with Billy West out of nowhere, interacting with nobody. I hadn't seen him on TV since the 1990s, and he is way shorter than I thought he would be, so at first I did not realize who he was and then suddenly I just had this....feeling. Then without asking he just started rattling off all of these voices as if he knew EXACTLY what I wanted to hear without even asking, and I just teared up and my jaw damn near hit the floor. He did characters I had no clue he was the voice of. I grew up obsessed with Nickelodeon Doug and was clueless he was the voice of Roger or any Futurama characters outside of Fry. Then he told me that a new animated Matt Groening series was in the works for Netflix, and sure enough not long after that, it was revealed to the public. So for a brief time, I actually had inside information from Billy West himself! Took a few pictures together and got an autograph. It all happened in the span of a few minutes, just like this kids interaction. I don't think I've ever had a day quite shake me like that one.

Because i use to watch the Simpsons it was my way of Escaping my disability called Spina Bifida. And the bullies i use to have to deal with at school. The simpsons was at least 100x more popular in the 90s when 1) it was all we had to do 2) the show was actually good as proven by ratings anyone can look up, and 3) it was the thing you'd talk about on monday in school.
You can find ANY school aged kid on the PC or on their phone for their entire free time, and hardly any of them watching TV beyond just having the disney channel running passively as background noise.

Well not nearly as candid a moment as this, but I was at a comic convention in a shopping mall in Massachusetts walking around seeing all sorts of sights, I had just personally met Mike Maronna and Danny Tamberelli of 90s Nickelodeon fame, which was mind melting for me, was in a total daze and nearly felt like I was going to faint, and just kind of rounded a corner and was just face to face with Billy West out of nowhere, interacting with nobody. I hadn't seen him on TV since the 1990s, and he is way shorter than I thought he would be, so at first I did not realize who he was and then suddenly I just had this....feeling. Then without asking he just started rattling off all of these voices as if he knew EXACTLY what I wanted to hear without even asking, and I just teared up and my jaw damn near hit the floor. He did characters I had no clue he was the voice of. I grew up obsessed with Nickelodeon Doug and was clueless he was the voice of Roger or any Futurama characters outside of Fry. Then he told me that a new animated Matt Groening series was in the works for Netflix, and sure enough not long after that, it was revealed to the public. So for a brief time, I actually had inside information from Billy West himself! Took a few pictures together and got an autograph. It all happened in the span of a few minutes, just like this kids interaction. I don't think I've ever had a day quite shake me like that one.
