Kang Yatse range is located at the end of the Markha valley in the Himalayas in the Ladakh region of northwest India. It is located in the Hemis National Park.
Kang Yatse 2 is standing at the height of 6250 m and the best month to submit is from June to September.
We started the expedition in mid August, 2022. It was self organised and alpine based trekking was done where one has to carry all the food, water, tent and and equipment by oneself.
We were only two of us and trekked from Chogdo Village which has the toughest climb to Kongmaru La pass with an altitude of 5100m above the sea level.
Normally trekkers take Markha Valley to the Kang Yatse. Markha Valley has longer route and the views are amazing.

Have been to Kongmaru la pass through Markha valley. Ascending from Chogdo side is extremely strenuous.

I wanted to know :
1. The level of fitness needed for 6000mts.
2. Did you/any of your crew use oxygen cylinder for final sumit day?
Currently i can squat 60kg & bench 70kg for 10reps. Cardio is a bit weak, i can probably cover 5km in 40 mins.

Firstly you should have the experience of trekking and practice of cardio is necessary for stamina.
2. we didn't use oxygen cylinder as it was a solo expedition.
