Upcycling used leather into suede tutorial for Art Doll creature ears - Troll ears

- This is a video I made a while back and forgot to post. I use a lot of upcycled materials, I find wonderful vintage fabrics, lace, leather, and fur at yard sales, flea markets, and thrift stores. I try to buy damaged garments that have usable pieces, I get them for next to nothing so cutting them up and repurposing them is very green as no one else usually wants them. But it means I do not always have exactly what I need when I need it. Leather in particular is not always the right thickness or color because coats that I normally find, are thick and the colors are limited to what is available to me cheap. Dyeing it is an option with light-colored leather, but black can not be dyed and I usually find black leather. Suede is harder to find for some reason. Dying leather can be messy and just as time-consuming as the method I am showing you but you will not need to wait for things to dry or stretch them to keep it from stiffening which happens when you wet leather. Scraping the leather, as I am doing in this tutorial, also makes it thinner which is never a bad thing when making ears. And I also get the bonus of knowing I am keeping an otherwise useless damaged garment from ending up in a landfill. No matter if you plan to use the material for ears or for paw pads or for a corset on a doll, this is a great way to upcycle leather into suede that you may not have thought to do before.
Any chance of a tutorial on sculpting the troll face from the video?
I didn't hit record. 2 hours of sculpting it I thought I recorded it. BUT unfortunately no. I will record a different face though. Promise. Just need to find the time.
