I feel this so much. I can't even watch some movies because I don't have the ability to just watch them. I have to be productive. What do you do to really relax?
At this point I am quite convinced that it's to do with poor plotting sequencing and shots being filmed. Sometimes the director and editor just seem to lose the thread which is understandable when you have literally hundreds of scenes to order. So you get pieces of information in the some of them, then you get the payoff of them and they have to put these at key moments around the movie when the audience attention is heightened. This is why in thrillers you see this info placed just in the rising point of tension before a jumpscare. They also have to sometimes cut time from these important scenes stripping them barebones, making it seem less important in terms of plotting. I had some difficulties when i watched this movie years ago, well the entire series, partly because of how greedily they structured it that the arc is never complete in the middle movies. It leaves it hanging and resumes which for a casual watchers is just the best way to diminish the entire experience since when the 3rd movie started I barely remembered if Peeta was in love, was not, lied, was with the Capital against.
I really enjoy your videos :) I always get spooked when the gruesome scenes happen and end up missing some crucial story scenes. Thanks to you I finally know what actually happens!
