Drone: DJI Air 2S. Kópavogur is a town in Iceland that is the country's second largest municipality by population. It lies immediately south of Reykjavík and is part of the Capital Region. The name literally means seal pup inlet. The town seal contains the profile of the church Kópavogskirkja with a seal pup underneath. Kópavogur is largely made up of residential areas, but has commercial areas and much industrial activity as well. The tallest building in Iceland, the Smáratorg Tower, is located in central Kópavogur.
Kópavogur is historically significant as the site of the 1662 Kópavogur meeting. This event marked the total incorporation of Iceland into Denmark-Norway when, on behalf of the Icelandic people, Bishop Brynjólfur Sveinsson and Árni Oddsson, a lawyer, signed a document confirming that the introduction of absolute monarchy by Frederick III of Denmark-Norway also applied to Iceland.
Kópavogur is also one of Iceland's most prominent sites for Icelandic urban legends about the huldufólk; it also features in this capacity in the 2010 film Sumarlandið, where the stone Grásteinn is portrayed as an elf-house in the Kópavogur municipality. An independent township, Kópavogur is adjacent to Reykjavík.
Kópavogur's main sports clubs are Gerpla, Breiðablik UBK and HK. In 2010 Breiðablik clinched their first Icelandic league title in football and in 2012 HK won their first Icelandic league title in team handball. The town is also home to a power lifting gym called Thor's Power Gym where the owner, Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson set a World Deadlift Record of 501 kg on 2020/05/02.

Beautiful Socio-economic landscape! Definitely more thought out than many places here in the USA. I can respect this lay out, for sure. Not terribly complex to navigate. Love the big sky views! Wow what an amazing city. It was so clean and what I also thought was amazing there was no snow. I could see the mountains in the background that has snow on them. Does it not snow in the city very often? Thanks a lot for sharing the video. It was quite enjoyable to watch.

Roman & Nina. I think the cities are remarkably done. Very good use of space . Allowing more of the countryside to remain as natural as possible. The appear very clean and well organized. Many of the buildings are show stoppers, stunning really. Thank you for letting this armchair traveler enjoy...
Somehow I didnt think there would be so many tall blocks of apartments. It looks like so many other large cities with very busy major roads. Nice drone video with lots of good aspects of the city. Personal : think u look nicer without the beard Roman lol. Too cold to shave brrr - the winter look !! Take care, blessings from UK

Merci de nous faire découvrir ton pays, malgré tout je dois dire que je trouve cet endroit à une allure peu engageante, c'est un paysage totalement minéral sans aucune végétation, pas d'arbres, pas de jardins, c'est assez surprenant, car même dans d'autres pays froids, par exemple la Russie, on voit qu'il y a toujours quand même de la végétation dans les villes, même en Sibérie, etc....même si l'hiver bien sûr tout y est aussi figé....

I,ve been watching the Volcanoes,s Harmonic Tremors which are showing the Magma is rising towards the Crater, the Harmonic Tremors are extremely violent and have been increasing over the last 48 hrs..

Not sure how I feel about the beard though….hmmm why are so many men growing beards the past year? Is it the in thing to do or something? I'm just a viewer but I've watched nearly all of your videos, I like the way you've put them together, but you're losing a viewer and it's not you're fault at all. The level of advertising youtube is ramming in my face just makes watching youtube annoying and who wants to be constantly irritated? You, the content maker are the people who make youtube function. Maybe if you tell them you're losing viewers they might listen, use my post if it helps. Thank you and goodbye.
Ad blockers are useful. Of course that deprives the maker of revenue, but it saves your sanity. If I like a channel, I may watch the video once with ad-block on, then turn off the ad blocker, and set it to play again, while I go to something else.
Even if I will switch the monetization off (what I wannt do as I need someting to live off as I dont work) youtube will play ads anyway on auto (then the income will go only to google). So ads will still be there no matter what I do. Simply said - there is no way to watch youtube without ads, unless you buy premium (u can use premium free for 1 month). Not much I can do about that...

How ugly are those high-rise buildings and at all impractical maintenance-intensive cleaning, providing drinking water to such a height, fluctuations when blowing. I miss the trees and greenery there. They certainly do not fit into this country.
