“This won’t help”: Kyiv residents divided on Ukraine military request to draft 500,000 people

- Residents of Kyiv shared mixed reaction to the news that Ukraine’s military has requested to mobilize between 450,000 and 500,000 people.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made the announcement on Tuesday during a press conference. He claimed he would “need more arguments to support this idea” - suggesting the appeal has not yet been approved or denied.
Without enough equipment for new troops, some suggest a mobilization “won’t help” amid the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, while others believe it might be a good idea to form a reserve of personnel.
"The people's motivation is dying out. If some are forced to fight against their will, our army won't be as motivated to fight," one resident said.
Funding for Ukraine has recently been held up in both the U.S. and European Union (EU) as a result of political division. Zelenskyy, however, says he is certain that the funding will soon continue and is even expecting a 50 billion euro aid package from the EU.

Yeah, Zelenskyy himself (he is such a big mouth) in his press-conference said that his military demanded from him mobilization of next 500 000. It's another confirmation that 500 000 Ukrainian soldiers were killed or mangled and crippled for life to the extent that even Zelenskyy couldn't send them back to the front (i.e. amputees without two or more limbs, blind etc.). In fact Zelenskyy is running out of cannon fodder. There are simply no next 500 000 to kidnap off the streets, gyms and public transport. NYT wrote about these mass kidnappings that were happening only in Zelenskyy Ukraine and Hitler's Germany in 1945 in an article ‘People Snatchers’.

As far as I am concerned (IMO), Zelensky is only motivated by his own selfish goals in keeping his job. But does he think this "Russia-Ukraine" land thing will go away someday ? It's been going on for decades. Gorbachev, Putin, future Russian administrations. They will all have the same goals. So even if Putin died tomorrow, that decades-long war will never end. The "Soviet Union" wants their land back.

if you want to know the truth about Ukrainian victims you have to watch interviews of Ukrainian foreign legionaries who have fought for example the Canadian sniper I forgot his name but he said that during the 6 months in Ukraine he never saw Russian soldiers instead he saw one by one his friends killed by Russian artillery which was very accurate and because of that he became frustrated and left Ukraine without killing a single Russian so the conclusion is that AFU victims could be 3-4 times more than Russians because the number of Russian artillery pieces numbered 18,000 not to mention those stored in warehouses but it's up to you if you don't believe it, that's fine.
