Just listened to Craig Lownde's on Rusty's Garage Podcast and he says the team dynamics in HRT had changed in 2000 and that they even tested at Philip island without even telling him about it and he felt like an outcast so talking to Peter Brock he decided to leave and go to ford
Biggest problem with the format this weekend was that there was only 1 race on each of the Saturday and Sunday, and in the era pre social media it was easy to package everything as though it was a 1 day event. This was rapidly changed for the rest of the season.
Hey... would you happen to have any videos of the v8 supercars that has a song called "Gods of Thunder?" It sounds like AC/DC, but isn't. It was used in promos sometime between 2000-2003... I've been trying to find it but can't even find its existence being in a v8sc's promo lol... any help would be appreciated.
People bash the au alot, and yes it didn't have the greatest success. But what other Holden had success like hrt? No one. They simply had complete dominance. So when people say the au was a lemon I go well every race I watch from the 99 - 02 season there is always an au in the top 5. It's a fallacy
It's not a fallacy. Ford won 8 races compared to Holdens 52ish. Mark Oastler has written an entire article on how Fords AU Falcon failed to fly. It was a crap car, plain and simple. Triple 8 have had immense success in Holdens from 2010. www.shannons.com.au/club/news/ford-au-falcon-the-wing-shaped-supercar-that-struggled-to-fly/
I love how the cameras are able to capture the sound in slow motion.
He a lovely man Greg Rust
Obrigado por postar essa corrida. Muito boa!

That's really interesting. Lowndsey's tell-all book would be interesting.
Wonder who the Rat in the ranks was .. there’s always one trying to unsettle team dynamics.
