My grandfather wanted me to stay in ROTC and go in he army 😕 there was a lot of pressure and I'll admit at first, when I was like 10, I wanted to. I thought it was just shooting people. Then I grew up. I realized how vets are treated and I changed my mind. He lost his shit when I said I was quitting ROTC my senior year. I was done with it. I wanted my final year of high school to be somewhat enjoyable. When I mentioned I wanted to sell art no me in my family was supportive of me 😕 It got to the point where I gave up on art for a while. But then after graduating art was my coping mechanism for my mental issues. For my anxiety and depression. It got me through my step brothers death. So seeing other parents live through their children sickens me.

I find it very unlikely that someone who kidnapped a child would put said child in the public eye like this. pretty sure it'd be way too risky for them.

In the case of Jaycee Dugard (a creepo kidnapped her when she was 10 or 11 and kept her prisoner for 18 years. She had 2 children by her attacker while being held captive.) it was years before that monster even let her accompany him to the store. He waited until he was certain that she was so beaten down, spirit broken, and afraid of him that she wouldn’t run away or risk asking for help.
I can’t imagine a child with that kind of countenance and personality (that would read as “shy” in person but as “obviously traumatized” after multiple videos) would make for a good TikTok actor. Certainly not a convincing one.
So that even if there were zero chance of the child being recognized based on looks, I still don’t think it would ever happen. It would be too clear that something is ‘off’.

As an American, I can tell you, most people here find child pageants weird too. It's a small niche group that enjoy them, and most of the people attending them are just the families of the kids. Still definitely weird though.

It's a bigger group then you might think, I did a paper on the psychology of pageant moms for uni about 12 years back and there were some startling realizations. I attended a couple to observe and the amount of verbal and emotional abuse being thrown around was astonishing. The majority of mothers were all failed pageant participants themselves and would just heap so much tension and demands on those kids. Watching some of he younger ones like 3 and 4 having melt downs because they were tired and hungry and the mothers just berating them, and how dare they mess up their make up, or hair or dress. And money is a huge factor...parents literally going into ebt to chase that grand champion that may pay $1000-$5000. Judges were kinder to those kids then their parents. I watched a couple of lady judges try o console a child who lost while the mother just ranted about everything the little girl had done wrong. It's really a scary niche to be sure.

So both you and the person above you think it's better to go and give the Tiktok account more views to go and look up the videos mentioned rather than Nabber only blur the face versus the whole or even most of the videos he referenced? Not everyone is chronically online or wants to feed more in to something that is super weird. When you watch this video, you have zero idea what's happening in the videos he's talking about because he doesn't say anything other than "This seems like really weird behaviour." Even when he mentions how weird the room looks, you can't even see what he's talking about because the whole picture is blurred except for the mom's face. And his reference to the video to other UA-camr didn't post that he complained about? The whole thing was blurred, so how can of even know what video that was.
If you're going to provide proof of something, it can't be completely hidden behind huge pixels.

As a parent, can confirm: kids can have some weird looking rooms. My son loves sharks and has them all over his room, but also has a dollar tree plastic skeleton hanging on his wall that he *refuses* to take down. He's 8.
But, coming from the point of view of a parent, I would never feel comfortable posting some of this stuff on the internet, because of my child's wellbeing. The amount of *sheer embarrassment* these influencer kids probably currently or will feel when they get older I could *never* imagine, and I can't imagine putting my child through that. I did some weird and cringy things as a kid, and I am so thankful it isn't all over the internet. You cannot tell me these influencer kids are not or will not be bullied for the things their parents are posting on the internet. And what happens when these kids go and get jobs when they're older? What happens when a potential boss does a background check and finds this kind of stuff? Will they actually want to hire them? I honesty question if these parents are thinking of any of the long-term effects this stuff will have on their child's lives. It might be bad to say, but I think either they're not, or they don't care.

As someone who had abuse by a parent, I can see some of the same signs that I went through (forcing your kids to say things to cover their abuse, forcing them to act in a certain way on social media, camera, and/or in front of others, forcing them to wear what the parent wants, etc). I think the kids need to be out of that household, yes, but I don't think they were kidnapped.
Edit: That Peyton apology video with the dad standing next to him, in an intimidating stance, is terrifying. I'm scared for him. But also cutting him off by taking his only form of outside communication and isolating him from others by taking his phone and deleting his social media is abuse 101, in romantic relationships and domestic relationships. Beauty pageants for children aren't a thing in Germany. Kids do partake in sports, music and such competitions, yes, but pageants are pretty unheard of for minors. From around teen-aged and up, beauty pageants do regularly take place, but they aren't even close to the hype they get in the US. The 'Miss x' competitions rarely get media coverage, they aren't televised (maybe locally, but not nationally) and only the Miss Germany gets a bit of limelight with maybe a handful of articles and reports.
This whole concept of children's beauty pageants seems, at best, weird to most of us.

I just Googled the numbers and it is 0.0034% of American children if you believe the multiple sources that say there are about 250,000 participants total.
As for coverage of pageants, that is only because we have HUNDREDS of TV channels. And really, there is still very little press coverage on our one big pageant-Miss America.

I’ve heard a lot of Europeans and Australians/Kiwis that seem to be under the impression that beauty pageants are a very common and normalized thing here in the States, but it’s definitely not.
I’m old enough to remember when JonBenet Ramsay was killed and part of what sensationalized that story was that she had been a little beauty queen. Photos of the little five-year-old girl dressed up in very adult makeup and hair was absolutely shocking to most people. It did not endear the public to the Ramsay parents.
I think for a lot of the country, it was the first time we realized those pageants still existed- especially for little kids. I think even in the 90s most of us thought of them as a relic of the long ago past.
And then in the 00s the show Toddlers and Tiaras came out and the main reason that took off was because most of us, even here in the southern US, had no idea that this world existed. It became like a train wreck that people couldn’t look away from but wanted no part of being *in*.
Like I said, I’m from the southern US and I’ve never known anyone that was in beauty pageants as a baby, child, or teen.
It’s just not as common as it seems.

There needs to be laws put in place protecting children from online exploitation [by their parents] and ensuring their right to privacy on social media like YESTERDAY. "Family channels" aren't even regulated by child labour laws, there is nothing in place to prevent parents from using their children 24/7 to churn out "content" to make money. It's only going to get worse and this type of negative attention clearly isn't deterring them.

Its kind of the new work around of the Jackie Coogan law. Jackie Coogan was a child actor who was exploited by his parents and left with basically none of his earnings because they used it all for themselves. Gary Coleman was also subject to these actions. Because they can’t be mandated by it not being official work, these parents are able to exploit their children for content that earns them money. A lot of these parents claim that they’re putting it aside for the child’s future, but the JC law orders that parents put aside 15% minimum of earnings for the child’s future, so without the mandate, they can technically be doing that but only putting aside 1% for the child and using the rest for themselves.

This is a parent exploiting a child for views, plain and simple, and it doesn't need a big kidnapping conspiracy to be a horrible thing.
Keeping on commenting help signals and colors isn't going to help the child, if anything it'll make things worse for her because the parents see all the engagement and drag the kid in front of the camera more to keep the conspiracy train going.
I'm sure yall don't want to hear it, but if you keep commenting and feeding into the conspiracy, you are actively participating in the exploitation.

Seeing Peyton makes me sad tbh because if my theory is correct, I’ve been in the same position he is rn. My mom has been exploiting my brother and I on the Internet for far too long and while we liked getting followers/subscribers in the beginning, it became exhausting and we started to hate it. Being forced to make a video/tiktok when we didn’t want to. I tried to be a streamer at 14 and my mother would tweet/post from my social media accounts all the time and the stuff she would post was so embarrassing and cringey whenever my peers found it. Every time we told her that we don’t want to do something, she would get angry, calling us quitters and threatening opportunities for when we want to have a different hobby in the future. Seeing Peyton be forced to apologize is something I know for a fact my parents would make me and my brother do if we ever told anyone about it. However, I’m finally 18 and still have my mother texting me every day telling me to film and post on my tiktok account despite me living across the country now. I’ve told her multiple times that I’ve wanted to quit and have deleted my account a few times but then she makes me recover the account. Yet, the pressure from her has died down a lot for me after turning 18 AND moving. But, I feel bad for my other three siblings because they are all A LOT younger than me and now they don’t have someone who understands to comfort them about this problem. In conclusion, I most definitely do not think Peyton and his sister were kidnapped, I strongly believe that they are in the same position I was in. All we can do is wish him good luck to get through it without affecting his mental health❤❤

Calling the situation a kidnapping is giving me "Hey, I got a new girlfriend" vibes. Basically a fictional horror short film made for college was treated as real and connected to a real missing persons case. To the point where police were called and the parents of the missing girl claimed that the short film was made to deliberately misconstrue the case. No one involved in the original production had even heard of the missing girl beforehand and no one was in danger. Wavywebsurf just did a video on it.

    • @sarahr9894

@olive. The point of a missing poster is to spread the person's face and info to as many people as possible. 329000+ people watched this video and could have taken note of the poor missing kids faces, but instead it's been censored. I don't think the parents would be upset that over a quarter of a million more people are aware of their missing child regardless of the association with this stupid tiktok account. They already know about the tiktok, how could it give them "false hope". Missing people are sometimes recovered because of tips from strangers who saw their poster somewhere. I think it was kinda a bad move to deny these parents of the extra eyeballs on their child's missing persons case.

OP wasn’t talking about spreading awareness that people thought bebop was a missing girl, they were talking about spreading general awareness of missing persons because some random person viewing might end up being able to help. as long as a kid is missing the family is gonna hold out some form of hope. simply showing a missing person’s face isn’t gonna give them any more hope, it’s just gonna hurt the same as all the other times they look at the picture

So awful.
I have so many girlfriends that grew up in the pageant world and they have SO many self esteem issues and trauma now because of it. Understandably so when you’re a freaking toddler and your parents are putting you in a competition where adults judge you on the way you look.. and If you don’t win, It’s putting it in your head that you weren’t pretty enough or you weren’t talented enough. it’s heartbreaking

I realise there is likely a geographical cultural influence to pageants that make it strange to understand. I still think there are definitely elements that are unhealthy and disturbing. First I truly don’t understand the point of covering up the inherent beauty that children naturally have with all manner of fake and tawdry products that were initially designed to help women recreate a youthful appearance in the first place. Second i feel exposing a child to being publicly judged on their (fake) appearance and forcing/teaching them that they need to behave and act in a very specific way in order to be viewed as “worthy” is a very dangerous mindset to instil in a young child. One of the joys of being a child is the ability to be yourself in a totally unselfconscious way, free from the many constraints and worries imposed upon us by the myriad of shallow, purposeless social expectations we increasingly become aware of as we grow up.

we are sooo obsessed with strange freaky things going on that we don't focus on the fact that, even if this isnt any crazy kidnapping or anything like that, a mother is still exploiting her children for profit and thats still screwed. i feel like people will be disappointed that this isnt some atrocity against kids going on and instead is most likely just extremely emotionally mentally and psychically exhausting! but apparently putting 7 year olds thru the intense emotional labor of being a public figure isnt a big deal

I think this type of conspiracy thinking is due to people not wanting to face the layers of horror that actually exist in society. Something crazy, like oh she was kidnapped, can be solved by finding the child, returning them, and arresting the kidnapper. Whereas in real life the situation requires delving into child exploitation, workers rights, developmental effects in kids, the issues in the foster system, class issues, the fact that the majority of kidnapping is done by a birth parent or other family member, socioeconomic effects on family life and so on. A lot of people can't handle thinking about that bc of their own privileges but their brain still recognizes an issue is happening so they come up with a ridiculous scenario that can be a quick fix

One person who did a good commentary on this was retro phantom, she went over the theories too and also came to the conclusion that it's just another power hungry mom. Which honestly is the simplest answer a mom who exploits her chil. What I don't like is the fact that she puts her child on adult sites

Nabber when you say this is effecting the kidnapped kids families in a negative light that might be true for some but not for others. I know one of the kids mother came out and said she is so happy for these rumors because now more people know their daughters face and name to look out for her.

Let me get this straight…so you think a child is being kidnapped so your choice of “helping” is asking the kidnapped child to post signs that she’s kidnapped on the main profile that the supposed kidnapper mainly uses to spread the content. Some people are dumb af

I've always been very confused about when ppl put those "do this if you need help" comments, like do you think the person you're trying to reach is the *only* one who's reading the comments? Especially if the captor is the one majorly running the account by group acknowledgement???
Like, they'd see your comments too....and stop it.....?
I'm glad people want to help, but I honestly don't understand how this is supposed to work.

Look at Payton's father's body language, his arms are crossed, and he looks like he is intimidating him as Payton is speaking. The whole video is very unsettling. Almost like if he didn't say what they wanted, he would get some kind of punishment. I pray he is ok. Coming from an abusive home, I know that look, it hurt my heart to see it again.

I looked into this a bit further awhile back. The kidnapping scenario did happen with a mother and her child, I do not remember the names off the top of my head. People think this is the mother, and she does look very similar. But Bebe, the child, is too young to be the kidnapped child. There is another girl who makes very brief appearances in some of their videos who is thought to be the kidnapped child. The way they act in these videos seems very sketchy. I do agree that Bebe should not be exploited this way. Who knows what’s really going on? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Only recently discovered your channel, so I'm late in telling this story - but I met Bebop and Bebe in real life.
I work at a fairly prolific haunted house in my area, and the two of them came to visit one night - they didn't go through the house as the little girl is too young, but we have a large outdoor area with games, food, drinks, and monster actors. That's where I come in.
I didn't even realize who they were for the longest time. I thought it was weird that the little girl had a full face of make up, especially at a haunted house, but she was sweet and not at all phased by my scary creature costume. Later on I ran into them again and the mom asked me if I wanted to be in a TikTok, and I agreed because the little girl and I had hit it off. Afterwards she showed me her username so that I could find the TikTok later, and that was when I realized who they were. The mom was polite and kind to both the little girl and all of the actors who she asked to be in the video. The little girl was one of the best kids I've ever met while acting; she told me I was her favorite and I melted.
At no point did I see them being followed, or being told where to go or what to do by someone else. They seem to be there by themselves. Now, it is possible that I may have missed something, as my mask is difficult to see through. But I had no reason to believe that they were under any sort of supervision.
I could go into more detail that wouldn't fit into a long UA-cam comment lol. Do I agree with the mom putting the daughter in the forefront of her social media account and basically working a job to make them money? Absolutely not. Do I believe that either one of them has been kidnapped? Also absolutely not.

I said this in TehMimi’s video but even if the “wear this color” comments where legit and they where kidnapped wouldn’t the kidnapper eventually notice? It’s a lose lose situation. They wear the color and people would be like “omg they’re in trouble”. They don’t wear the colors and people would be like “the kidnapper isn’t letting them”.
Not to mention the kidnapping conspiracy takes away from the actual problem that seems to be happening here being child exploration. Paton has made it more obvious he’s been forced into doing this and Bebe appears tired in a lot of the lives

It's kind of disturbing that they play to their audience and make them think the pair of them are in danger, all for that TikTok clout. What next will Tiktok spew out? Just gets worse each week.
