Cracking video Josh especially the drone footage. Favourite time of the year for me too is silage season. Cranking up the mowers to full tilt would be a good shot to include in you next video from the outside. Love that sound of the mowers in full tune!
Sweet video Josh. Nice to see the technology. The same work has to be done - watching for hazards, mowing the same fields, caring for the equipment. It seems like the techno wizardry is just enough help so that at the end of a long day of farming - you still have enough energy to get something meaningful out of whats left of the day.
Some grand looking grass in there mate 👍. Mowers didn’t seem to mind the quantities either... think he’d look good one mine 😁... one day I’ll get my hands on a set of mowers🤣🤪🤦♂️
The ‘blue’ field as we call it is a high clover sward so very hard to control the weeds. We do spray for docks sale where! 👍 they are bad this year after last years drought!
Hi.....really enjoyed video.....I have my mowers set exactly the same!!!! I sometimes narrow track width if I’m going across steep land.. Also I have 2 itec settings 1 for middles and 1 for headlands.... If you set work recording to your SVC then it will record when mower goes down😀😀
@@pinchface Exactly, Come the end I could work most of the fields and end up with very little short work. But then again these youngsters are spoiled with there 200hp GPS enabled tractors pulling trailers about. Back in my day syncromesh was a bonus. Air con whats that, Oh the good old days.
Technology is unreal, that it can just get every inch out of the mowers, nothing as bad as seeing those poxy lines of grass between the last run and your back right wheel when you've gone in too far in the next run
My very favorite farm activity is mowing hayledge.
You just can’t beat it Jim!

Ahh didn’t think of doing that! I agree, running them up has a very distinctive sound! Thanks for the idea!
@@JMFarming No problem Josh 👍
Josh 👏👏on hitting 4K mate 👍👍
Thanks pal! Unreal! 🤟🏼
Brilliant video Josh, thank you 👍
Cheers Alex!

It certainly allows you to keep a better eye on everything else around you! And like you say, doesn’t knacker you out the same!
Great drone footage josh
Thanks Zach!
Great video Josh nice to be getting the silage done . Good drone footage 👍
Flat out here Philip! Thanks!
Cracking video josh. Silage 2021 has officially begun. Excellent drone footage

Thanks pal! Yeah! Strangely the more grass the easier they run! Get you some big mowers on that green machine!
nice video josh, top job 👍
Thanks Michael!
Great video Josh, there seems to be quite a bit of weed in the fields, does the farm not control with chemicals?? Nice sward of grass though. Cheers.

Ideal! Does it record if the SCV goes into float?
@@JMFarming
Yes if you set itec to go into float maybe 5m after down then it will start recording when svc has stopped👌
@@stevenwaite4565 legend!
@@JMFarming 😃. Hardly!!!!
How do you rate the Vicons?
@@stevenwaite4565 they are alright! Bit noisy!
Nice to see you josh back on your favourite tractor 🚜
It was a hard time without it! Loving this silage time of year!
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it
great video as always
Cheers John!
Great video, nice footage, that should make some great silage 👍
Thanks Tony! Picking it up today!
nice drone shots. don't know why I am watching silage cutting as I saw the real thing when up at my friend's on Sunday lol
Thanks! Everyone loves watching silage!
Why aren't you using the full working with is the side mower?
The outside mower isn’t as wide as it looks, the fold down flap has a lot of empty space underneath
great video bud
Thanks Harry! 🤟🏼🤟🏼
great vid josh just a tip as it works well for me if you are wanting to fly under 10mph go in tripod mode its much easier to control
Ahh thanks for the tip! I will try that today! Didn’t know about that!
Nice video! How do you get the coverage on green star to work???
When you set up an implement profile you can select the recording mode, I just use manual for mowing 👍
Great video what speed where you mowing at ?
About 14k yesterday. Gear slower today in heavier wetter grass!
That field where you had the camera on the mower, looked a bit sparse, any reason it's not grown as well? The other fields looked a pretty good crop.
It’s a legume sward, mainly clovers which have suffered this winter. It’ll bounce back for second cut. It also doesn’t get the N that the rest do.
What would the lateral offset be on just a 3m back mower, I can’t work it out to match up 😩
Measure 1.5m from the far end of your mower then measure from there to the centre of the tractor and it shouldn’t be far out! 👍
Just noticed your mirrors on the tractor don’t look like any Deere ones I’ve seen are they after market?
Yeah they are after market ones! Won’t be on here much longer! 👀
Haw big (hp) is the tractor? Thanks
155 boost to 190 🤟🏼🤟🏼
Wish I had GPS so I could drone and drive 😂
It’s a blessing for that!
Be even more impressive if you had to do it by eye like I had to 30 years ago. I loved mowing.
I’ve done a few years of doing it by eye with 1 mower. Now I’ve had 2 and gps I wouldn’t want to go back!
How would u do it if u did not have GPS then
The old fashioned way using a tree or something in the hedge or by guess work If you couldn't.
Just by eye. As billy said, aim for a tree on the other side!
Once you've mown or worked the same fields a few times you soon learn which tree or fence post to aim for!
