Just bought the classic. The evo model is about 120 euro more expensive. From the video I just watch i think I made a good choice. Water quality in my area is really good so no limescale is expected. With the saved money I bought a good quality manual grinder. Thank you for such a detailed informational video.

Great video and analysis...! I have my GCP (previous version) with the PID and OPV mods. I also upgraded to the brass dispersion plate, IMS screen and bottomless portifilter. I would love a pressure gauge; so if it had that, i would just swap everything over and call it a day. The GCP is the best learning and durable espresso machine out there. I've never had a problem with mine. Too bad they don't sell parts though; I would buy that boiler in a second!

Yeah sadly I just bought 2019 a week ago because I've seen some review saying it's not much of a difference. After seeing this video I wish I spent 70 more and get evo instead of 2019. Anyway still enjoying and trying new features with my machine tho. I did the all same upgrades. Thinking to do gauge and the dimmer as well maybe later on. What bottomless portafilter would you recommend? I wanted to get one on amazon but some reviews state it does not fit well. Many thanks

Thanks for posting, I don't have to void my warrantee to see the lime lining. It's nice to see that Gaggia pretty much makes it exactly the same, just better.
