Another fun fact about the cookie cutter shark is that the only reason the navy found out is when a sub surfaced with one still attached

There’s also depictions of Tanuki carrying sake bottles which were made from gourds. This was to represent virtue. The tea kettle that contained Gaara’s tailed beast is also based on a story of a tanuki that disguised itself as a teapot belonging to a monk and no matter how much the monk poured into his cup, the tea never ran out. Which sort of adds to Gaara’s infinite sand hack.

Okay...little bit of backstory for why wealth and tanuki balls are connected. See back in the day when they would hammer out gold to make it thinner for coins and sheets of decoration, tanuki scrotum fur was considered the best form of cushioning against the hammer blows so it wouldn't leave marks, and it was said that a skilled artisan using tanuki scrotum fur could hammer out a piece of gold quite large from just a small piece. They also in Japanese culture have a rivalry with Kitsune/Foxes...it's why in Animal Crossing Tom Nook...a Tanuki, has issues with Crazy Redd...the shifty salesfox, due to a bad history where they worked together at one time but Redd took all Nook's cash and left him high and dry by the time their partnership ended and it's why he's so forgiving about the loans in game. Now sometimes in pop culture they do work together and get along but it's much more common to see them fighting or playing tricks on each other.

The topic in the beginning of the urethra fish got me curious and caused a long search of anatomy and such. yes it's practically the same in pain for either gender. Only thing I concluded is the nerves themselves being different types so maybe causing a very tiny difference in the pain and a guy's urethra is longer so maybe it would get stuck deeper than it might in a woman's urethra. Tldr: 99% sure it's the same for either side so Nikki's worry of them is justified.

Me personally, I want a maned wolf, raccoon dog, bush dog and clouded leopard as pets, but they are wild animals, so unless I find one as an infant, then I'm not sure if I can fulfil that goal, not to mention I live in the Caribbean so I'm not getting anyone of those soon. Btw the Narwhals are one of the closest things to being a Mythological creature irl.

There's a really good anime about the tanuki ( racoon dog ) called The Eccentric Family .
A lot of these animals are so adorable but I know very well it would be a baaaaad idea lmao that clouded leopard talking to its caretaker at the end there.... So cute. So wholesome.

There *is* one documented case from 1997 of a candiru lodged in someone urethra. The case is a bit iffy on some of the details, but it is documented.
