The Hot Toddy is indeed, a transparent overdrive. No gimmicks, no buzzwords, NO BS. Just YOUR tone, enchanced.

Stacks with fuzz like a mofo too ❤️🤓
Merch idea: A Buddy Blues calendar, with photos of Small Business pedals and every day of the week is Tuesday.
I don’t think you’ve ever had a bad idea.
When you asked on your IG who you should review, I did not hesitate to mention JSA. Simon is a stand up dude and his pedals are great. i am glad you put this on your channel. Great job!
Thank you and thank you for the suggestion!
Buddy really delivered on that British accent.
Honestly I’m one or 2 videos away from being cancelled. So I might as well get on with it
Great sounding pedal. You have sold me an impressive number of pedals. This is now on the list.
Love this! I've had a standard, throwback edition and custom Hot Todday. It's a great pedal and I never thought I'd see it in Buddy's hand 🙌
I bought it about a year ago and love it.
Some Tasty Tones And Playing ! and I Love Blue Pedals.
I adore mine!!
Absolutely incredible stuff man 😀 I know i say it all the time, but everyone makes my pedals sound so much better than when i play them 😂 My absolute favourite thing is, not only hearing what sounds people get out of the pedals, but seeing their face if they enjoy it. Thank you so much for an awesome review and im really glad you dig the pedal 🙏
(And yes, the Klon is, like, the second least transparent overdrive ever, beaten only by the tube screamer)
At first I thought, this will be just blatant Timmy copy, but it does not seem to behave that way. More like discrete, transistor based circuit without clipping diodes. Can you elaborate what it is?
@stanislavmigra in essence it's a modified Timmy built using the discrete op amps from the Boss BD2, so yes; the op amp stages are three transistors each. It does have soft clipping diodes in the first op amp stage. I also build a vintage spec version (including tropical fish and mil spec capacitors and carbon comp resistors) which also includes a three position clipping switch which goes between normal clipping, no clipping diodes, and more clipping
@@jsaeffects all that technicall talk really gets me going 🔥🔥🔥
JSA are awesome, I own a few pedal, His Momentum drive is chefs kiss!
Always a pleasure.👊🏻
@12:50 Stormy Monday 🙌
I’m not sure what is more impressive, the pedal or the guitar playing. Great tones!
Thank you!
1987 label gun...Reminds me of Mom 🙂
That's it!
Victory V140. Buddy Blues finally caved into the 100-watt craze. Welcome aboard! I always find myself going back to a 100 or higher head. Is it necessary? Hell no. Does it feel right at home? No question. Literally, after several small wattage combos, pedal platform amps, and others, I am returning to a 100-watt half-stack myself!
It’s such a beast of an amp!
@@BuddyBlues The VS100 and VX100 are two that are on my bucket list from Victory. Also, have you ever tried a Knaggs guitar? Always had a soft spot for the Kenai
I only wish this pedal were made by someone named Hot Todd.
I will say that the name came as a suggestion from the guy I built the very first one for years ago, whose name was Tod (and I stuck with it because the drink and I have a very long history together)
So I got two things out of this whole video one drinking produces good ideas buying guitars. Hence has how the pedals made. You got a set pick ups being made .. dropping Easter eggs like the Easter bunny ….RAD sick sick riffs
Buddy, this is really awesome. You know your reviews cost me way too much money. That is the goal right!?
Hey if I’m going in the hole I want as much people as possible with me 😂
@@BuddyBlues Just added 4 new pedals and another guitar, why not one more pedal?! One of these pedal companies should create a BB OD or Fuzz.
@TrevorrNourse keep your eyes peeled 🤫🤫 😉
@@TrevorrNoursetbf I (JSA Effects) build a bunch of different Bluesbreaker's and Fuzz circuits to order 😀 I basically have three 'production' pedals (the above Hot Toddy, a compressor, and a mid forward clean boost) but the vast majority of what I build are one offs or requests
@reeveselectro is a fan of my "FET Breaker" (a high voltage reimagining of the BB with zendrive style clipping), and the pedal I use the most is my "Nightingale Drive" which is discrete op amp reworking of the BB with an additional input stage and presence control, but there's a whole range of them from the vintage spec 1:1 originals, to the slightly modified, to the unrecognisable and ultra tweakable but still definitely a BB 😀
