Bought mine a few years ago on eBay for $30. Made in Malaysia, 1978. I can pull in Alpha Centauri on a good night. The name says it all: It's a SUPER radio. (And it goes for over $100 on eBay today!)
Purchased my SuperRadio II in 1986, it is still a daily driver. The pointer on the dial string would bind from time-to-time. I took the cabinet apart and shimmed up a piece of plastic that was coming into contact with the pointer. It has been fine ever since. Not the greatest build quality, but one of the best performing radios I ever had.
Almost bought one, but since I knew nothing about repairing these, I opted for the SR lll. I figured if C.Crane sold them, they couldn’t be bad. I made sure to get the G.E. version. I paid about $60.oo , but what I got was almost perfect. Doesn’t have hardly any wear. One slight blemish on speaker grill. So, it was worth the price. It also performs fantastic ❗️ 📻🙂
I have a Malaysia-made Pulser Long Range radio from Canadian Tire that looks identical to a General Electric Superadio II. Does anyone know if this could be a clone?
I wish GE still made a version of this radio. There was an RCA Super Radio 3 that I bought. it was so lousy I returned it. The only redeeming feature was that it sounded good. The Eton Elie Minni is better at getting between the strong stations. Enjoyed.

Great review and great radio. Very good reception and sound. Will build your muscles, not a light model but it’s very durable.

Most Likely....though it could be a real GE if it was made in Hong Kong in the Early 1980's
Amazing sound from that radio. In your expert opinion, which radio has the best sound, the Superadio II or the CC Radio EP PRO?
The GE SR II all the way, though the EP Pro is happily playing on my radio bench every day :) I am currently enjoying the audio on my CC Radio 2E.
Have you done a comparison between the Superadio and CC Radio EP Pro?

Yeah, I was warned about the RCA version.
I do have the GE Superadio III and it’s awesome.
