With all the punctures in this Dakar, it is surprising BFGoodrich is advertising they are the manufacturer. With these clearly not fit for purpose tyres.

The more they honest and humble explanation they make the better. I've had the same fails when doing offroad with hidden rock with my eco.friendly 7.5 kg tires without sidewall protection of any kinf and lowest resisteance on the category, with a 7.5 kg rim, after popping and cracked the rubber tread of 5 tires, just changed for 9 kg not premium tires. I don't see why BSGoodrich can't advert their 80 kg or more wheel and tires packages (like stock heavy trucks) fitted to heavy cars and show us the pile of Tonnes of destroyed wheels they are analyzing to make something better. Or they are just telling how good are you going to feel buying their product because of the success on the 2024 Dakar?
Just imagine how interesting if 2025 Dakar winners goes with regular Commercial Van/Pick-Up tires or regular Truck/Semi Offroad road stock tires... and side by sides using forklift and tractor tires, quads using lawnmower solid tires... and motorbike winner with fat bike scooter tires from used 125cc street offroad motorbike...
