Thanks for sharing this information. Hoping you do a more in depth video of this type of scouting. Maybe you could pick a unit out that you don’t hunt and get more in the weeds with what/how you look. Truly Appreciate what info you have shared. I have been successful helping family and friends harvest elk in eastern Kentucky but will hopefully be headed out West for my first time this year.

Awesome video. From someone who's never been elk hunting (midwest whitetail hunter), but wants to badly, these are super informative. I'm big into studying maps, so this scouting series is right up my alley. Keep up the good work, man.

Thanks Justin! I'm glad these videos are helpful to you and hopefully it shortens the learning curve when you decide to go on your first elk hunt! Thanks again for watching

Glad to hear you mention thermals! I deal with those surprisingly here in IA, and we use those thermal in the morning to our advantage. Listen “The Hunting Public” podcast on thermals, extremely helpful on how to use them. I’m sure it is close to the same in any terrain with hills or mountains. Another great video Adam, keep them coming!!

Thanks Scott! Yes - thermals are a big part of both elk and whitetail hunting! Many of hunts have went south due to thermals. haha Appreciate ya watching, Scott!

Another great video! I'm doing a bunch of digital scouting from the east coast and will be spending a week in Colorado come August to put some boots to the ground. Thanks for the tips! Very helpful!
