Maybe you could pick a unit out that you don’t hunt and get more in the weeds with what/how you look. Truly Appreciate what info you have shared. I have been successful helping family and friends harvest elk in eastern Kentucky but will hopefully be headed out West for my first time this year.

Glad to hear you mention thermals! I deal with those surprisingly here in IA, and we use those thermal in the morning to our advantage. Listen “The Hunting Public” podcast on thermals, extremely helpful on how to use them. I’m sure it is close to the same in any terrain with hills or mountains.
