The most optimal way is not to swap from merciless until you've got absolutely 0 ammo. You can reference the Hunter Solo 2 phase "Nezarec, final god of pain" to find this. Swapping Loadouts to Witherhoard with bait and switch rockets or bait and switch Cataphract (if Lowman) will increase the total damage.
Yeah in an optimal setup you'd do that. My method was mostly just a fluid thing for people who don't feel like load out swapping. It's not what you'd use for something like solo Nez
@adamboy0559 I have both. I believe Zal is flat out better. But with the season mod that boosts the nano-rockets I think it's pretty close. This season I'm having way more fun using Epochal.
Thank you kindly for this amazing swopping technique. Please show more... I am practicing shotgun swoppong with my two slug shotties and Dragon Breath. I didn't know that there were other swopping techniques... I'm a new player and doing my best to learn DPS so I can be an asset to any Pantheon fireteam.🍻
🤌🤌 I dead ass use sunshot. Make a ton of special and heavy with an ammo loadout. Than have my DPS/surge loadout have merciless. With plenty of ammo to pick up.
Goes hard. I didn't mention supers as you can tack on celestial or any other damage super onto almost any rotation. And telling everyone that celestial is good felt redundant.
Good explanation as to why the expected DPS can/IS lower than the actual DPS in game. Also, its rare or impossible to get every shot , never mind a critical shot.
That's a rather poor advice, let me tell you. Thunderlord with catalyst is a great weapon to have but there's no reason for inexperienced players to not practice more advanced rotations when they have the chance. That's the only way you can improve, by putting in the effort and pushing past your current limitations. By dismissing guides like this as sweaty elitist stuff, you only gatekeep yourself from improving. The best decision I've made so far in Destiny was starting to put some extra effort in my damage rotations. Gone are the days where my damage could be lacking in raids and dungeons, and I'm glad for that. Plus it also gives meaning to grinding weapons, since you will be able to make great use of them.
Wipe screen numbers are inconsistent and don't match the actual damage done to the health bar of the boss, which is what is used for when the boss dies. You could do the exact same thing 10 times and have a range of numbers with 100k damage in difference.
I forgot where I saw it but under perfect condition, merciless can deal around 2 mil in a stupidly short amount of time (that’s super insane for a special weapon)
I see I have to brake this down. As merc shoots faster, it’s damage goes down. That’s the reason. When you have something like controlled burst and rapid fires with vorpal, it’s already better.
No, Merciless gets an 400% faster fire rate when its fully ramped up. And loses 12% damage from that, AND has a 50% damage perk AND has better reserves than other High impact frames. Even without the the kill perk it has better DPS AND total damage than any other fusion. and with the kill perk its not even a question.
Struggling to find my grapple point in that first clip I see 😂😂
Lol
Been there 😂

Loadout swapping is overkill 😂
Merciless is great, but this season you'll have to wrest sunshot/zaoulis out of my cold dead hands
Valid
Understandable have a great day
Hear me out. Epochal integration
@@BrklynBreadzal is better. A good replacement if you don’t have a good roll zal tho

Thanks homie! Slug swapping is pretty heavily dated now they dont do as well as most pellets
Hopefully you got a well cause you might die from the dragons breath explosions within shotgun range

Merciless+apex predator+celestial nighthawk+triple solar surge+radiant=💪💪?

@@lazykb fair
i use merciless in wr because there is so little heavy but so much special so merciless packs a punch every floor
It's very good in WR since there's plenty of kills to keep impetus up as well. Love it
Why tf does the strand grapple combo in the first clip look so weird??
Idk its just normal grapple DPS
@@lazykb The camera looks so off tho compared to when I do it or watch anyone else like salt LOL. Are you on controller???
@@lazykb Oh i see. You just do the grapple melee late/slow. so you are higher in the air so it just looks weird
Is impetus supposed to show up on the buff side of the screen? If so then it is bugged this season.
Idk if it's supposed to, but it doesn't. But you can tell you got the kill cause it'll reload fast
I don't think it ever showed up, it has been bugging me for years haha
How did you auto reload the rocket in the 5:34 minute of the video ?
Slideways with weapon swapping to reset the cooldown
@@lazykb thanks 😀
It's better overall dps if you use Witherhoard + Carty C + Apex
Only without Impetus. The difference in DPS between Merci and Cart is GIANT and witherhoard isn't very much DPS it's just easy to keep constant.

On a lot of bosses the numbers are inflated also!
Don’t listen to this elitist sweat, just use thunderlord and you also don’t gatekeep damage🤝

I forgot about thunderlord being the best in the game!!!
@@lazykb I mean anyone with even 1/4 of brain power knows thunderlord is the top dog🗿
mfw when I hear thunderlord in dps check encounter
*we are saved, dpslord is a blessing*
Melty.
What I’ve been telling folks lmfao
if only it was kinetic.
Not wrong. But hey if you saw twab today, we're getting a new strand wave frame in April if it's cracked that issue is solved
@@lazykb sadly I have a demo trace for my kinetic slot though, but if it has demo then we shall see.
(I am addicted to throwing hand held nova bombs)
THATS ME
The clip looked pretty good when I cut out all my throwing 😎
youre not showing dmg results

Why yes. I agree?
Doubleslug or Iza Rocket something like that is still better😂😂😂
You say that fusions aren't good for boss dps?
That's right. They're lazy and easy but not that much damage
*flashbacks to D2 Year 1*
I love it. It's exactly what old weapon reworks SHOULD be
I forgot where I saw it but under perfect condition, merciless can deal around 2 mil in a stupidly short amount of time (that’s super insane for a special weapon)
Yessir! 2mil in I want to say around 15 seconds? Even as a heavy weapon it would still be B tier which is wild
