The new Q3 really edges in on the Q5's territory -- Q5 being audi's most popular model in the USA and a great small SUV -- because the new Q3 is bigger, and considerably less expensive. I think these are going to sell *very* well.
i test drove an S line yesterday and I am a not really satisfied, Im actually expecting more power from that 220HP. I want to like the Q3 but im really not sure about the responsiveness and the transmission feels. The reviewer is right it kinda feels like a CVT. And ya I noticed that the automatic transmission is kinda struggling to get to the right gear.
The problem with Orange cars is that I don't have an Orange car. I love Orange, and the car would speak to my personality, style, and joy as I drive down the road making everyone jelly!
Our Golf Alltrack, which is on the same platform, has 30 cubic feet of trunk space rather than 18. You can get the Alltrack with a manual which makes it a great winter car and a lot of fun. The Alltrack is being cancelled, but that won't force us to get a Q3.
I actually like the q5 better...it's bigger and better. The one thing I don't like about the q5 is the way the infotainment screen is like a tablet sitting on the dash. On the q3 it is integrated into the dash as it should be. It's smoother and more aesthetically pleasing. This is something new they decided to go with as the 2019 we also has the tablet. I hate that thing and have no clue why manufacturers are going to it. All of them are like that now. I have no idea why Audi would do it on the q3 but not the q5. The world may never know.
I don't really consider 19/27 good MPG for SUB-compact suv with a 4 cyclinder. We see mid size with 6 cyl getting 19 city for crying out loud. I would expect for a near-midget suv with cramped interior and cargo to get at least 22 or 23 city and 30+ highway. A let down for sure.
Are you aware, most Audi transmissions have an unmarked "sport" mode? Put it in drive, hit it down a second time, and that engages Sport mode, snappier shifting. Check your manual.
Nobody is going to ever take these beyond a dirt road. Your hardcore off roading with vehicles like this and the Subarus is ridiculous. The Q3 does sound like a pretty good compact luxury SUV though.
Looks nice..but past 80,000 miles these things become money pits-how about a $1200 water pump? The resale plummets because of the very high repair costs.
+The Fast Lane Car I love the blue and orange body colors. I love the birds eye view for parking (I'm a crap driver, I need all the help I can get when it comes to parking, if the Model 3 had that I might be tempted to buy one, it might even have saved your car from the expensive and lengthy repair you endured). I would have liked a few words as to how this car competes with the lot more expensive e-tron and iPace. Good review though, keep it up.
What’s the point in going on and on about the Q3’s off-road capabilities when almost no one will take their Q3 off-road? These type of vehicles are today’s “cars.”
Should I consider importing a Q3 from Great Britain so I can use my left hand to hand write on the screen? If so, how do the right handed folks in countries that drive on the left side of the road use the screen? Here's the next question. Where else can that 2.0L turbo 4 with 228 HP and 258 pound ft of torque be found? Hint: Three letters. The first is a "G" and the last is an "I". You have two choices for the letter in the middle.
I recommend to look at some of the other car experts video - your video shows a lack of systematic order/concept - you jump with your info back /side and upfront - though some of the driving pictures are very nice! By the way I bought and drive the car already and love it!
Great review but I wasn’t blown away by the Q3 and choose the Cadillac XT4. It has more of what I wanted and a design that far better, in my opinion, than this.
I was super interested in the new Q3 and was waiting for it. Until I had the chance to sit in a demo on a tour of Audi dealer 3 months ago. Very disappointed with the interior. Looks very nice on the video reviews but the interior materials and excess of piano black is not Audi like. Having currently an A4 this feels it belongs more in the VW famility although VW has even done better with the new Jetta GLI which I test drove. In comparison BMW has done far better with the X1 and would be my choice.
The handwriting recognition for the navigation came back with Star bats because that's what you wrote. Your "k" was not even close to the letter. It was clearly a 't'. Pretty good fuel economy = 19 city???? Do you even listen to yourself when you review cars now? Your review set up a very negative mood, but you still claim that it is fun to drive, story, comfortable, etc. So it can't climb a mountain, and you get all down about that. What other vehicle in this segment can climb a mountain? None.
Over priced. Under featured. Save a lot of money by getting a CX-5 Signature and get better styling, nicer interior, more features and better performance.
It's interesting you say this. We are comparing the two, the audi is the same power more electronics but no seat vents, and basically same price and same power, waiting for the test drive for the final decision. The cx5 is really nice
A horizontally opposed engine is a boxer engine... I think what you mean is longitudinal and for that yes the q3 is not "real Quattro" because it's using a haldex system like all transverse Audis
Packroy Liao In my haste to be an internet punk I grabbed the wrong vocabulary. But let's pile on. Even in longitudinal applications - that's when the crankshaft is pointing perpendicular to the axles - the new models are getting "Quattro 2", which still isn't real Quattro. Quattro 2, like haldex, is on demand, only sending power to the rear when the computer says it's necessary. Why? Supposedly, fuel economy. I say "boring. Not interested. Don't like regulations." I see no reason to "upgrade."
@@shawnl661 what youre describing is Quattro ultra which is gen 7 of Quattro, and just because it can disengage the rear axle it doesn't mean it's not true Quattro, it still has the same crown gear center diff, it just has a second clutch pack to engage and disengage the rear axle. It still will work as well as any of the previous Quattro systems, it's like a Jeep being 2wd on the road and when you need it, put on 4wd
stay away from this car. Worst driving car I have ever owned. My bad I didn't test drive first. 1-2 and 2-3 shift is horrible and throttle is dead. When you slow for a turn and want to accelerate out of the turn there is nothing there. Car takes it's time downshifting and lots more dead pedal. Why bother with an 8-speed if your not going to shift it ? Driving around town going maybe 50 I put it into manual mode and it is still in 5th or 6th gear? 3900lbs, turbo 4 with 258 ft-lbs and it should have more ummph then this. Played with driving modes and they don't do much. Regarding the tech features maybe somebody from Afghanistan wrote the software!!!
I had a 2020 Q3 as a service loaner and was super impressed. It had a ton of technology and equipment. For the money, it’s a great car.
I love how I click on an Audi review and am greeted by a Mercedes ad..priceless
I got a bmw ad.
They dont care which one you buy as long as its one of the three or all of the three. 🤣😂
They are fighting for you love
I kept getting ford ads...lol

Just got mine yesterday, white s line package
How many cars move the front seats forward so you can drop the back seat?
Im driving one as a rental. Pretty damn good feels very strong im surprised at the lower hp numbers

Get an extra one while you can. It's a great car.
trapezoid I say sir that is an octagon grill, I shall return to twirling my mustache
Great camera work and drone shots
Very nice all around vehicle to drive to work and have that little extra space if you need.
What about the windshield fluid dispenser? Mine has a weak stream that doesn't even come up to the middle of the windshield. 😓😓😓😓
May need to address under warranty.
Well produced and informative. Thanks, Roman!
Every new car coming out these days should have a model with some hybrid assist. Come on Audi - 19/27 mpg - awful!
Trying to teach my son colors.. had a long road trip.. he only learned white, black and gray. Smh
Thanks again Roman seems like nice car..don't know much about these cars.
Orange is a great colour for smaller cars and sports cars. I am colour blind though.
And obviously afflicted with bad spelling...Just kidding. :)
@@stephenhendricks103 I like your attitude.
What camera equipment did you use for the B-Roll? It looks phenomenal!
I think I like this more than the q5

Agreed. Not much better than a Q5.
Yea it's terrible gas mileage th. It should get atleast 27/33
But it recommends regular gas
Are you aware, most Audi transmissions have an unmarked "sport" mode? Put it in drive, hit it down a second time, and that engages Sport mode, snappier shifting. Check your manual.
Why is the b roll shots so choppy ???
Torsion diff? Or is it a option?
Nobody is going to ever take these beyond a dirt road. Your hardcore off roading with vehicles like this and the Subarus is ridiculous. The Q3 does sound like a pretty good compact luxury SUV though.
petrol or diesel?
Looks nice..but past 80,000 miles these things become money pits-how about a $1200 water pump? The resale plummets because of the very high repair costs.
I'd stay away from the dealer after the warranty is up Gene. FCP Euro has the Genuine Audi VW water pump for $325.00 Lifetime warranty

Baby Q5
I could hear my man catching his breath running around that car tryna put the seat down lol
LOL!! 🖖🤣
But is it electric?
No
I love it video 💯👍
You spelled starbats. You literally wrote a T and not a k that’s why you got that on on your navigation
Oh look a normal car review that doesn't spend half of it drag racing or talking about 0-60
Lol....AutoTopNL
The car's too slow for that.
The Audi does not compete with the Mercedes since the GLA is too small and a class beneath it.
The GLA competes with the Audi Q2 space wise ...
Should I consider importing a Q3 from Great Britain so I can use my left hand to hand write on the screen? It’s a beautiful CUV but the gas on that is not really that good, the Mercedes gets WAY better gas.
EVERYTHING in that size of CUV/SUV gets better, most get at least 4 or 5 MPG better than that.
The Mercedes is much smaller and in a different class. No fair match ...
Didn't I just asked a few days ago for this review? 😅 Also, did you mention anything about towing?
I tow my garbage can to the street in my GTI. That should give you an idea of the A3's credentials.
I recommend to look at some of the other car experts video - your video shows a lack of systematic order/concept - you jump with your info back /side and upfront - though some of the driving pictures are very nice! By the way I bought and drive the car already and love it!

Ben Haze Q3 is entry level not going have A6 interior

Oh a GTI suv ...
Lexus nx is much bigger? Wtf
Still underpowered for the price and the segment.
who the heck is choosing these paint colors these days. that thing is awful unless you really like skittles.
Was this a paid ad? These reviewers are getting lazy. Or maybe they were just crunched for time. Who am i? #49ers
Is it just me or have Audi interiors started looking cheap since they got rid of the tablet-style designs with their MMI?
It’s just you lol

Dude is so redundant ... this video should be half its length
Horizontally opposed engine = not real Quattro
Does it really make a big difference?
NOFATCHICK1 if you're into sporty driving, yes. If your driving is more "normal" then perhaps not.

OK, so now I know it's not a true off road vehicle, but it IS like "Goldilocks"... OK, NOT the most informative car video I've seen...
If you want to go off-road get a Jeep.
19 and 27 mpg !? That stinks.
Star Bats, LMAO!!!

yawn. (and i'm not talking about the Q3)
same shit on a VW tiguan for less
they look completly different and have different interiors
Boring chics drive for doing local shopping and navigating speed humps. This vehicle has zero character.
Looks plain. No thanks.

Color 🤢 🤮
I agree. Like yellow, those colors only look good on a few vehicles
