This was not a good list. Most of the bikes are sitting right at 5k & are honestly over 5k considering tax. Two of the bikes you listed are really Mopeds, and three of them can't even break 30/35 mph. That's no faster than a 1k-1.5k electric mountain bike.
Thanks for saving me time.
If I create a electric bike I would take the looks of CB300 and add rear brake liver to left hand side to replace clutch liver and put a less powerful motor and gear box for 2 speed and 15kwh battery with good shape and exposed wires,I want only around 120kph and range between 200km to 300km.who is agree with me??
I just want a bare bones cheap thing that'll zoom me to work as fast as possible. Trying to avoid the price associated with getting a motorcycle
The Metacycle has a ways to go... Not only in price, but they really really need to make that battery removable like they originally said. This, and people who have reviewed it have said that it gets really uncomfortable really fast.
range is also much lower than stated, 40 miles at low speed
Motorcycles, electric or otherwise really need to be able to go 40 mph at a minimum to safely be used in the majority of North American roads. 30 mph puts you on the edge of the road with cars endlessly zooming past you.
$1000 for middrive 750 watt bafang kit and 52v 25ah battery battery will still do 30-40 mph if unrestricted even on my dorky folding bike that I can fit almost anywhere. At about 20-25 mph I have at least 40% battery left and usually closer to 70% left if I pedal after my 24mile commute. Plus I can pedal if I actually run the battery all the way down.
the sondor looks cool but there's no way you'll see it again after you walk into a store
Ok where are the turn lights do they have a kit for the turn lights and a 📯 horn or are just dirt bikes ?
The battery size very speed vs range just isn’t efficient yet. I have hope that they can figure out a non cobalt batter that doesn’t need to be huge and can get 50+ range and speeds above 30mph.
Don't hold your breath there tends to be a lot of promises and no delivery
The batteries are not there yet for electric motorcycles. The upcoming condensed batteries from Catl is the most promising new tech with about double the energy density of current batteries but the price is still unknown, could be 2 times as expensive or more and they would have to make their way to electric motorcycles and bikes with planes and cars being first in line. So a long way to go.
I can go about 70kph range @ 80 mph on my emoto all I need
I see these electric bikes have come a long way but still have a ways to go. But like anything else, you get what you pay for. Speed+range=$
I have 3 cheap scooters (under $500) that I have modified and will outperform most of these bikes. I did have to spend about $1000 for new batteries and controllers for them, but I can easily go over 60mph and get 40+ miles of range.
But when you're on a road trip, who long will you have to wait at some obscure location to re-charge your bike?
Yeah I'd need a bike that gets up to 70 mph and gets at least 50 to 60 miles per charge. And I saw on another video that the Sondors meta cycle that the guy was told it would get 60 to 70 miles range abs he had to get a friend to come get him after 47 miles. I can't benout walking leaving my bike on the side of the road while I walk back to the house to get my truck. I don't need to be left out stranded somewhere in the sticks which is where I live.
Man j have 5k$ in my wallet bro.. Thats super cheap.. It just took me 2years to save
Took you 2 years to save $5k fucking hell I save that a month. You gotta get your life up bro.
@@lifeofmike556 I save that in 1 week.
@@lifeofmike556yeah cause everyone should be able to SAVE 5k a month right? Lol how much do you think all jobs pay a year? Cause only around 20% in canada make 100k a year and that is around what you should make to be able to Save 5k depending on your monthly bills in a span of one month. Saving 5 k a month making 100k a year only leaves 3300 for rent maybe 1-2k possibly more. car insurance200-500 possibly car payments. 300-800 food for a month maybe 200-300 gas for a month another 150-250 depending on your ride utilities 500(ie hydro, power, wifi) phone bills 80-200 and thats before you start having fun with your money cause doesnt everyone do a little something for themselves.. but at this point youve now spent somewhere around 2400-4000 on basic living... like bro... it aint that easy for everyone..
Now imagine making like 50-70k a year.. suddenly it would feel so hard to save that 5k a month
@lifeofmike223 You sound 5 years old dude. Not everyone has the same circumstances. Congratulations, you had some good opportunities and you're making more money than 90% of the population of Earth. If you're SAVING 5k a month, and not some basement dweller living with his parents, then that would mean you're making well over 100k a year. You realize most of the US, a 1st world country, makes 35k a year right?
inverted forks don't make a difference when your forks are the size of toothpicks and you aren't rolling around a track at extreme speeds
Really only saw one real electric motorcycle that would do over 40mph in the list and all were under whelming in performance for speed and range given their price. I have a 26 inch x 1.95 wheel mountain bike with a 48 volt 1600w battery that can do 35 no problem for over 30 mile but tops out over 40 miles per hour (scary) if I eat light. I built it with all new components for less than $850. Level 2 PAS is 21 mph for 40 miles easy. any PAS level 3 to 5 is insanely fast and I can climb the steepest streets in my town doing better the 23 mph up nearly 35 degree hills. I would like something like a Vespa electric but I am spoiled on the E-bike because I can ride it everywhere.
Is the battery 48v at 1600 watt hours so it's 33 amp hours, or was it a battery meant for a 1600watt scooter and more like 48 volts at say 12 amp hours. And what motor did you go with?
the CSC Monterey reminds me of a Honda Super-Cub
Motor sangat praktis👍
Talaria M3 or MX4 missesd this list? Now add on the 3X! Monday, Sondors and WTF were those unheard ofs? YES to the ONYX and Talaria!!
You can't do 45mph then you can't ride them here in my city. The Metacycle would be good though. The Onyx is a bicycle, not a motorcycle, but it is interesting nonetheless and would be useable here.
The onyx is an electric bicycle that when you put it in sport mode you might as well call it a motorcycle thing is faster than a grom or that other smaller Honda
here in canada we have the emmo zone gts awesome Full-Size Sports Electric Motorcycle
Can I ask what's the latest in the year you can ride? Heard some people's battery's crap out over the winter.
depends honestly on weather here in ontario we could get snow in late oct to late dec.and we should store battery indoors....garages during winter can get to -15. out west may get very little snow and really cold winter,
@@TheNorthRemebers
These things are pretty much no use except for very local urban use, and even then you can buy better options for the money, so they are still a poor alternative 😮
Surron the best for me personal! Fun and cheaper.
I think I'll just get a Roadrunner Pro.
monowheel is even cheaper and more fun :)
Don't worry the batteries will get better just announced a few days ago The new batteries will give vehicle a 621 miles range after a 6 minute charge how's them apples! HA So it's getting there! Finally going up to 1000 mile range ! Don't get me wrong still love my classics muscle cars! But the future is looking pretty good!
I'll believe it when I see it.

There are promises like that all the time that end up being lies. Don't ask me why.
@@warlockboyburns He's talking about the solid state batteries from Toyota
@@andyfumo8931 they've been talking about solid state batteries for years.
First of all, most electric motorcycles have a very limited range. Even the best ones which are very pricey are about 100-150 miles. Charging also takes at least 1 hour usually. Sorry but when I ride I normally do at least 300 miles per day and if I am on a trip I have done as much as 800. Some of the vehicles shown here are not street legal either and usually the off road only models have a range of 20-50 miles. I ride enduro's and dual sports and 100 miles is the average day. I also question the reliability of the chinese bikes.
What is the difference between an e-bike and an e-motorcycle?
The Monterey scooter is actually pretty nice, has a good range and speed, the price is reasonable but.. The order and wait time is less than desirable. The Metacycle is a class act but I think overpriced. The Onyx is ugly and really doesn't offer anything to offset that.
You can buy a good used 1000cc sport bike for that much..
Until you find yourself replacing the battery every 2-3 years for $3,000
Get a Honda Navi $1807 100-mile range and fill up in 30 seconds!
None of these are really electric motorcycles. An actual, full on electric motorcycle is going to cost you several thousand dollars at the minimum. These are mostly scooters, and electric bikes. There's a couple companies that make some pretty good motorcycle e-bikes, but you get what you pay for. Emmo, Tao, Daymak off the top of my head. You're still paying a few thousand dollars. The battery is the most expensive part, and has to be replaced at some point. The cost for my battery is almost the same as just buying a brand new bike.
The bike in your thumb nail is not in this I consider that devious
Turn off "music" !!!
I AINT Seen a motorcycle yet 2:51
Geez these things are bunk lmao would’ve thought their would be some decent ones by now
Replacement battery’s aren’t cheap
"Cafe racer"
Not worth the money for the amount of time you can ride and the speed you ride it at.
Funny how the lines have been blurred between Ebikes and motorcycles. Surron belongs on this list but the Onyx RCR definitely does not. Onyx is an Ebike. It has pedal assist and therefore you can ride it on trails without getting into trouble. Surron is a dirt bike and even though you can get pedals for it, they aren't very functional and the thing looks like a motorcycle because it is. At any rate, the Onyx RCR is the best bike on this list, or any list for that matter.
Make them comfortable and we'll talk...
street legal?
volcon is a overprice moped
7:00 wtf 4999usd what 750w!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! RCR 2000$ ok!!!
it 6000 watt motor and 72 volts
Ra seneng Electric
You would be far better off buying a Honda Navi for $1800. It would blow the doors off these and actually have amazing range. Not to mention you can gas up anywhere on the planet. Tons of lockable storage and a low center of gravity for improved handling dynamics. All these "motorcycles" are a joke. Electric bikes could replace many on the list while producing better performance. The most basic gas moped out performs 9 out of 10 of these and completely murders them on range and cost as well as longevity.
I thought the video was on motorcycles??
I need to do 55 mph on avg in my sub urns or else get run over
motorcycle's you are able to register and tag in your state, some of these are just electric bicycles. You can't pedal a motorcycle. wake up people.
Let’s be real, these aren’t motorcycles.
None are $1600
The looks cool...with a gas engine! 75% of an ebikes cost is the dam battery!!
Ya but they’re a lot quieter. I can fly around the neighborhood at 3am going to work and not have to worry about waking everyone up when I leave for work.
Most if not all are still underpowered and over-priced...no new tale to tell.
Not motorcycle: scooters … oh sorry, electric scooters.
Toys. Not saying useless but ….
Just buy a Chinese bike so much better for under 5000. I have a leo,
cheap motorcycles, might only cost you your house, your apartment, your property or even your life.
Let's just be real, most of these are just overpriced. E-bikes...
Fancy, expensive toys that lack in so many categories. Hey, but it is your money - spend it how you wish.
kWh is NOT kW!!!
Cheap?
No no no
use credit card thanks biden.... Be sure and get a direct drive motor it's a lot smoother
I remember as a kid having an electric kid vehicle, a few of them. A day to charge and minutes of operation. I'll pass on electric.
Don't even compare
just buy a motorcycle
THAT'S A LIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's not a motorcycle if it's got pedals!
