What exactly was reinforced? The sheetmetal on the tailgate and where the hinges mount to the body remain the same. All that was done was adding more weight to the stress points. If you want to reinforce it you need to add an inner support.
Hmmm now I wonder if that’s where my squeak is coming from. Only happens when it’s 35 degrees or lower and I hit a bump on my drivers side…. May have to see if this fixes it!
Did this tailgate reinforcement fix the squeak noises? I have a 37 Baja Boss on my tailgate with a Rough Country reinforcement and it made the sounds louder. I want to change it for the Braptor style one but I’m afraid the sound will remain…. Any suggestions?
Missed opportunity to make your center brake light legal again. Also, are 2 screws missing and maybe a cap for the three 3 bolt holes? Looks unfinished and missing pieces.

Any size. You reuse the spare tire carrier.

I believe the empty screw holes are for accessories! The unfinished appearance is from the inclusion of silver hardware instead of black!
You can see my 3rd brake light just fine. I also have additional brake lights. Accessory mounts for the holes.
It needs black hardware! Those silver bolts detract (aesthetically) from what would otherwise be a solid addition!
