Nice video man. I love spreading my knowledge as well. I've been working on diesel engines for about 20 years and decided to go on my own last year. I do everything mobile. Only thing I dont do is tires and transmissions, I pass those to shops. Other than that I do it all from trucks to trailers and reefer work as well. Im thinking of creeating my own channel and spreading my knowledge now that I can't teach the new young techs that are coming into this field. Good luck and stay safe.
Awesome video Bro ! Found it Today as I had to change the water pump in the shippers Dock....your video helped me tremendously...Thank you for making it .
Thank you so much....I struggled last time I changed my water pump....and now I'm investigating a leak in the water pump area. Trying to get everything finished up....I was starting to get frustrated and had to take a small break....and that's when I saw this video! Thanks again!
Really good tips. Hence, the rolling lastly over the water pump pulley, because of its smooth surface vs the multi series of edges on the other pulleys. Thank You n God Bless !!!
Thanks for the video..I have a 2012 d13 and I hate it!.. changing belts it should be a simple task. They have made this truck so compact that every time I work on this POS I end up with cuts all over, bleeding and scratches because there is no room to work. that make repair a lot more expensive and more down time.. I can't wait to get rid of it..
You need to get the tool for replacing the belts. Drive belt tensioner tool. Can get it from Amazon for about 85 dollars. As you know with fan and radiator you can’t get your hand in there like you are doing. Do like the idea of putting the belt over the smooth pulley. Thanks for your videos
yes, you can buy but I use my regular tools and try my best to explain so that you do not need to buy any additional tools to do this job anywhere anytime
It's a pain in the rear. Just not much working room. Have a 2018 Mack with Mp8. My idler and crank shaft pulley have more grooves than my electric fan clutch pulley. Like you mentioned, when I started truck up it screeched like crazy. Put belt all the way to back groove on crank shaft pulley and idler pulley, no more screeching.
i never charged mine yet, but mechanics know the trick to that, so you don’t need to remove radiator.. just fan blade, or you can just jump over each blade with the belt.. lot of work but doable
Hey boss ,where is your workshop,I bought a 2013 VNL -670 ,I shit transmission,it has 770k miles on it so I just want to get done what I need please let me know when you get chance thanks 🙏

Very informative video question : do i need to take off my radiaator Or fan belt to put on my alternator belt?
i never charged mine yet, but mechanics know the trick to that, so you don’t need to remove radiator.. just fan blade, or you can just jump over each blade with the belt.. lot of work but doable

the tensioner is automatic, probably have it routed incorrectly or just got wrong belt
It helped thanks
Thank you very much!
I have a question that has nothing to do with this video... what can cause a D13 2013 Volvo to lock up?
No oil. No coolant. Thrown rod. List goes on.
@firebythewater it was a rod ...thank u.
What is a belt part number?
My biggest issue is your showing with nothing in the way
Good video
