That was a great intro and the parking lot is so vast. Reminds me of jungle habitat

Isn't that place a bike trail now?

It amazes me how this huge property, in a prime location, has been abandoned for such a long time. Thanks for another great video TeknBolt. Love your videos.

Terri, thanks for watching. You're right, this Bradlees store has been decaying in the same spot for 23 years now. Out of curiosity, were you familiar with any other Bradlees locations before they went bankrupt?

@@TeknBolt Yes. There used to be a Bradlees in Toms River NJ back in the day. I'm talking early 1980s. They were located in an outdoor mall called Dover Mall where there was also a movie theater. Both places stood vacant for years. After quite some time they finally tore down all those buildings and rebuilt a strip mall in that location. I remember going in to Bradlees as a teenager, we could always find something cool to buy, at least in my youth it seemed that way. Bradlees was similar to Kmart, a big department store where you could buy all sorts of affordable things but it wasn't a fancy upscale place. The store in Toms River wasn't as big as the one in your video. I haven't thought about that in years.

The red metal plate is a hydraulic lift. For loading and unloading trucks. It raised up as much as 8 ft. You controlled it to match the height of the container being emptied.

You may be the last person ever to document the Hazlet bradlees in this state. I passed the building about 2 to 3 weeks ago and they were starting to repurpose it into something else. Inside completely cleared, awnings torn down, I was told the road sign was supposed to be gone by now but I cant 100% confirm that.

I saw it for the first time yesterday. I was surprised the building was still vacant. I know the two Bradlees locations that used to be in Woodbridge both became Home Depot’s.

Dang, this building is in a rough shape for more than 20 years. Hard to believe nobody wants to purchase this building for redevelopment. I am betting the inside condition is pretty bad! I actually heard of Bradlees several years ago. I have a families who live in New Jersey. I don't know if my uncle and aunt ever went to one of the store locations. I'd imagine Bradlees must've been similar to Kmart. Great video, TeknBelt!

Hey Andy! Yes Bradlees was like Kmart or Target. I remember going to Bradlees alot when I was younger. Also it was a Caldor before it became a Bradlees and then eventually a Kohls. Thanks for watching Andy!

Are they going to demolish that place?

I don't think so; it might get repurposed someday.

@@TeknBolti doubt that, the condition of the building is really severe and the costs to repair it im sure would be alot, but who knows
