Abandoned Mattress Store In Cherry Hill, NJ
Переглядів 123Місяць тому
This is an abandoned retail space in Cherry Hill, NJ. From what's written on the walls inside, it seems to have been a mattress store, but I'm yet to discover exactly which business it was. I've looked at the Street View all the way back to 2008, but I couldn't find any signage indicating what this place used to be. Interestingly, the label scar is visible and has a distinctive shape. #abandone...
Abandoned Sipersteins Paint In Maple Shade, NJ

This is the abandoned Siperstein Paint and EmbroidMe in Maple Shade, NJ. According to Street View, both businesses were open until 2012 but have been closed ever since. In 2013, Siperstein Paint moved to a new location, presumably in Fords, NJ, as that's the only location I found still open. As for EmbroidMe, I couldn't find any updates on its status. The building itself is quite unique, with i...

This is the abandoned Burger King in Philadelphia, PA. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any information on why or when it closed. However, looking at Street View from November 2019, it appears the interior is getting thrown out, as indicated by the commercial dumpster outside the property. #abandoned #burgerking #fastfood

This is the abandoned Romano's Macaroni Grill in Budd Lake, NJ. It closed around 2017 and has remained abandoned ever since. The company had to file for bankruptcy protection and closed 37 unprofitable locations in an attempt to turn a profit. Many of the chain's locations, including this one, were forced to shut down as a result. #abandoned #restaurant #nj #closed
Former Crazy Eddie In Paramus, NJ

This is the former Crazy Eddie building located in Paramus, NJ. Based on information I gathered from various websites, it appears that the building was constructed in 1966. The grand opening of the Crazy Eddie store at this location occurred in 1977 at 809 Route 17. People may recall this place as a Goodwill, and this video showcases a walkaround of the building as it stands today. #crazyeddie ...

This visit focuses on the garden area of the new Valley Hospital, which has become home to several panels from a mural that once adorned the now-defunct Alexander's department store. After the department store's demolition in the mid-90s, the mural's panels began to cir...

Looks like a crime scene upon going closer to the diner. Glad you checked it out!! Thanks for the video.
You're right, it did have a bit of a crime scene vibe with all that caution tape! Thanks for watching.
I had no idea this place closed.
The diner closed last week
A lot of old aluminum diners are being pulled up and moved to new locations in other parts of the country. There’s a diner in Minneapolis that I went to a few times that was a move and restoration from either NJ or PA. I have to look online but i think there are a few companies that specialize in this upcycling.
Wow, that's really cool! I never knew that old diners could be relocated like that. I always assumed they'd be too fragile or expensive to move, and that it might be easier to just build a replica.
Hi TeknBolt! ⚡ I zoomed in at 1:46 and tried to read what I could of the notice. I couldn't see what the violation was, but I could read this part, "Notice of Imminent Hazard and Order to take corrective action." and further down "close the kitchen of/in the above referenced building, structure, or premises by 10:00 on January 10, 2025." I still see newspapers laying on the counter at 3:50. It's almost as if this happened suddenly. Kind of like Chernobyl. I've driven past this Diner on 17 many times too. The iconic neon sign always got your attention when driving by. I never did eat in there, but I have eaten in many diners that are similar to this one back in the day. They were everywhere in the 60s and 70s and most were open 24 hours. They were popular late night stops after the bars closed. I'm sad this iconic old school diner has closed down. One by one they're all disappearing. Hopefully they can fix the violation and keep this bit of NJ history alive. Thanks for another great video!
Hey Terri! Thanks for zooming in and trying to read the notice. It's such a shame that these iconic diners are disappearing one by one. The neon sign was definitely an eye-catcher, and it's sad to see this piece of NJ history struggling. Here's hoping they can fix that violation and keep the Bendix Diner going strong. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts!
Wow that's good to hear that it closed
Did you mean to write sad?
Food there was amazing sad its closed.
Hope to try their food again.
Hi I love your videos
I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
It's a real shame but I'm certain they're gonna reopen soon
Agreed! It's definitely a shame, but you're right hopefully, they'll be back in business.
Had to be a nice diner at one point. Hopefully they'd be able to open soon. Great video, TeknBolt!
Thanks, Andy! It does look like a pretty cool spot. I hope they'll be able to open up again soon!
I just called and they told me my order would be ready in 20 minutes 😂
The hot dog stand is a pull behind trailer that parks in the the parking lot and sells from there
You should have did another video pretty much right across the street of the dinner that is still family owned with everything still set up inside but empty for 10+ years
@bryanjones3429 Are you referring to the Franklin Diner. Wow I can't believe it's still there.
Looks like it could have once been a gas station.
Nice view of the Starbucks
Thanks for watching!
Yea, looks like the sewer lines on the property were probably messed up due to cracked pipes underground or maybe blockage issues.
I wonder if something else is going to takeover that property.
Looks like something is moving into the old Starbucks. I am also noticing that the architecture building looks a lot different. Maybe it had to be something else before Starbucks took over. Great video regardless, TeknBolt!
Hi Andy! You're right the building doesn't look like a typical StarBucks. It could turn into something but I couldn't find any information. Thanks for watching Andy.
Hi TeknBolt! ⚡ The comments on the note on the back door at 2:22 has writing that looks like it says Water, Flood, N..(something), Step, Call. I guess there was a flood and they had to dig everything up. Looks like a leach field or septic sytem. Thanks for another great video!
Hey Terri! Wow, great catch on deciphering that messy handwriting! It's weird to think about a flood happening there, isn't it? I wonder how it occurred. Thanks for helping solve that mystery!
Hi I love your videos
Thanks for watching!
That’s crazy. I was in that staples a year and a half ago. Time flies by for sure.
It sucks this location closed I remember coming here quite a bit when I used to live in Elmwood Park…
When did this BK close?! I remember growing up in Bergenfield and occasionally coming here.
I believe this closed in September of last year, but they have since reopened it was just for a renovation.
@ ah gotcha.
Hi TeknBolt! ⚡Thanks for another great video!
Hey Terri, thanks so much for watching and for your kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed my video.
I've never heard of this place before
I was looking online and only see like 3 locations in PA. I guess they lefted Jerseys Market.
The building must be a vintage one. Great video, TeknBolt!
@AndysRetailExploration It sure does. I wonder what it was before Just Tires. Thanks for watching Andy!

All of the Party Citys are closing
You're correct
Why does the Boeing autopilot sounds like an error alert 😭
Spirit Halloween killed their Halloween business.
I agree, it seems like Spirit Halloween's seasonal strategy has made it tough for Party City to compete in the Halloween market, especially since Spirit Halloween is so focused on that one holiday.
Hey TeknBolt! Happy New Year! Another sign of the times with another store closing. The novel/specialty stores in particular seem to be getting hit hard. I too remember it feeling special to go to these stores for a holiday or special event and shop around, it was like the holidays had finally arrived and this was part of the whole experience. Thanks for another great video!
Hey Terri, Happy New Year to you too! It's true, these store closings are a sign of the times, and it's especially sad to see specialty stores like this one go. There was something really special about visiting them when I was a kid in the 90's I feel like the whole experience is different now and its not because were adults. Thanks again for watching and leaving such a thoughtful comment!
No more Party City
Yea its sad they are closing down
Sad to see the party store company going under. There used to be one near me about 15 minutes away from me. Unfortunately, it was a short lived business that ended up closing sometimes in 2008. The building is now a Guitar Center. I've also managed to film two closing Party City stores an hour away from me. The store layouts look similar to this. Great video, TeknBolt!
Hey Andy, thanks for sharing your story! It's a bummer when a cool store closes down, especially if it holds some memories. Glad you liked the video and could relate to the layout! It's wild how buildings can transform. Were the ones you filmed as empty as the one in my video? I'm curious!
@@TeknBolt Yes and no. The first one I visited the closing Party City was empty with barely some customers roaming around. The second one I've been to was filled with plenty of shoppers!
Hi I love your videos
@@Sashalovesfall15 Thanks for watching!
I miss it so much I am going to cry😭
Now it’s big lots
It was a fun 24 years 😢
I love American malls because I studied abroad in Canada in the 90s. The design hasn’t changed much but it’s very comfortable. They are very large and uses natural light. Thank you for the video, brings me memories.
"Aiii!"
Growing up here in the 70's this was THE mall where you did all your shopping. Maryland Square across the street with Wonder World! I always loved going to the Boulevard because of the fountain under the dome (you can see it in some of the old pictures in the hallway you passed). See's Candy was by the main entrance and my dad would always get a $1 worth of fudge on the way out. Back then it was good for 5 to 6 pieces - ha!
Hi TeknBolt! I've never been to Vegas so it's interesting to see this mall. It's a pretty big mall. I'm surprised it's so empty though since it's only a week before Christmas. By comparison the malls in Paramus would be jam packed right before Christmas. But maybe that was back in the day, I don't know about these days because I haven't been to the Paramus malls in a long time. A lot of people shop online now so malls seem to be another thing gradually falling by the wayside. Thanks for another great video!
Hey Terri, Yeah, the Garden State Plaza in Paramus is always packed, especially around the holidays it's hard to find a parking spot! I’ve been thinking about touring that mall one day. As for the Boulevard Mall, its more of a local shopping spot, and it didn’t have many of the big anchor stores you'd see in larger malls. By the way, have you seen the movie Fast Times at Ridgemont High? I know it’s a movie, but was that how malls were back in the early '80s? It’s always interesting to think about how malls have changed over the years! Thanks again for the kind words and for watching!
@@TeknBolt That movie exaggerated mall life a bit but yeah they were gathering spots, especially for teens on a Friday night. Some places it got to where they had to start curfews and chaperones.
There are 75 Sears stores in Mexico and 18 more will open next year.
En mexico hay muchos todo bien
I haven't been inside, but it has reopened.
Nice to see a mall in Las Vegas! Looks clean and not so busy from what I am seeing. I think years ago, my sister and her husband drove by this place. She told me there was an abandoned Sears connected to the mall. I miss going to Las Vegas. Great video otherwise!
Hey Andy I heard about a Sears here but I think they converted it to something else. I wanted to visit other places but I didn't have a car rental. There was alot of abandoned places in Vegas. Thanks for watching Andy!
Hi I love your videos
@@Sashalovesfall15 Thanks for watching.
Great video!! Dig the simple walkaround with all the empty corridor sounds in the background!
This mall had the Jazz like Vaporwave playing already. I didnt have to add it post production.
@@TeknBoltyea! It actually reminded me of the music Raw & Real retail use to close their videos!
Hey! You’re not allowed to go to fancy clean malls!!! Now go film the super dead Prizm Outlets in Primm, NV. If you’re still in Vegas you seriously have to go see that place! The artwork above all the dead abandoned stores has a lot of evil symbolism.
Dude, If I could I would've this was more of work related travel to vegas than a vacation I had to attend a conference and was only at vegas for 3 days hotel and food payed by the company. There was alot of abandoned places I wanted to visit but I didnt have a car rental. And the prices for Uber were adding up quickly every hour at Vegas were peak prices. So I went to the closest mall from where I was staying. There was an abandoned Kmart and an abandoned stripmall but my time there was very limited hopefully next time I can go again because there was alot of interesting places.
@@TeknBoltyea, all good. Same for me. I have done Vegas a few times but it’s always been for work. There’s a lot in Vegas that I don’t think is documented in our dead retail groups here on YT.
@@TeknBolt Is that the abandoned Kmart and strip mall at Rainbow Dunes Centre? FYI, that old Kmart closed back in 2003. I've always wanted to go there. Haven't been to Vegas for 6 years already!
@AndysRetailExploration Yes it was the Abandoned Rainbow Dunes strip mall. There was also 2 Abandoned Kmarts. I think there was one with a fence around it and the other one I didn't see. Also during the Uber ride to the mall I saw an abandoned Burger King. And also the Abandoned 99cent only store.
Those old school looking white tornado funnel supports in the center of the mall hallway and carriage lamps on each side are awesome.
Noon in Vegas this dead? Jeez…
Its cause everyone is at Fremont Ave and in the casinos
@@TeknBolt true
You guys better cherish the mom and pop used game and video stores now and even the chain gamestops while it's still here. In 20 years they'll all be gone
That’s actually cool!
