  • Last year, the pundits has the knives out as Bill Foley made a managerial switch which was deemed scandalous and ludicrous. Since then, after a shaky start where players adopted a new style, Cherries have scored more, accrued more points, conceded fewer, and are three points from European football.
    Should more respect be put on Andoni's name from the people that were keen to call it an accident waiting to happen?
    Here is Graeme Souness's original interview: • "Priority is SURVIVAL!...

    I do believe we have traditionally had an attitude problem in the team. Typically, players see us as a stepping stone to a better team. In truth, ask yourself this question, wouldn’t a good player be better off playing more minutes and living in a lovely house by the sea in a warm part of the country than fighting for minutes amongst a bunch of prima Donna’s that are based in some northern hell hole?

    I remember listening to a radio phone in with Bill Foley and how his vision was for the club. Small steps, stage by stage with training facilities and another stadium. He was well aware of the finances, as a buisness man should be. They had obviously set up bringing in Andoni as part of this vision, so changes will happen which many fans can't understand. Looking at where we are now, it seems to me that this is larger step than expected. Too soon for Europe, better to go again with improvement next season and see where we stand. It is a good time to be a cherries fan 😊

    Solanke is a great player and he had a few good moves but did not get much service, he is more a target man and his style is different than Unal. Unal goes back more and starts an attack more than Solanke. The last 5 minutes he was in, Unal showed more brilliance. Iraola needs to give more time to Unal. Why not play them together.

    Thanks for your great work fellas.
    No one will ever overlook the amazing legacy of Eddie. But ….. What a Coach we have here. I have watched the 2nd half of the Luton game over a dozen times. The best 45 minutes AFCB have played in the 48 years I have been a Cherry.
    Europe??? I have already promised a UK mate of mine that I will meet him in whatever obscure Eastern European Country we “might” get to visit if we do get into the pointless UEFA Conference League- which obviously renders it absolutely relevant and definitely not pointless 😂.

    41 points and safe. With 8 games left let's win as many as we can and at the end of the season let's see where we are. Three wins would put us on 50 points 3 wins in 8 games or 9 points from 8 games 50 points. Is very achievable.

    Andoni has us defending in a way Eddie was never capable of doing. How many times in the past decade have we gone a goal up and either looked shaky as hell, exposed at the back or sat deep waiting for us to concede? We just don't do that anywhere near as regularly under AI, despite always looking to attack.

  • @user-jo7gb2ot5i

    The first 10 games scheduled this season were diabolical, pitting us against the top 6 over and over again. A Poor start was inevitable and now the payoff is cashed in by having 4 home games in succession with lousy teams.

    We've been lucky to have the points. Own goals and VAR decisions are not solid dominating wins. I think finishing in the top 10 for now would be fantastic. Even better would be a best ever points total. As for Europe, doubt we could go without being embarrassed. (although, could qualify, good summer signings, (who cares about FFP), win Europe- anything is possible 😀)

      Perhaps Unal and Senesi/Kerkez? Meaning we bank the money/ wage saving and get a 1 or 2 future prospects through the door. I feel after our initial spend under Foley I would expect future transfers to be less while we ensure FFP is tidy.
      Also depends if we can get Andoni to sign a longer contract. 🤔

    • @Tieger123
      @Tieger123 Місяць тому +2

      The revenue stream is up but a long, long way from the big boys, even the little boys 😂 . I trust that those in charge of our club are being careful making calculated risks. The ownership having a group of clubs will help - loaning players out. Longer contracts and we will, every few years, sell the prize assets. New training ground and bigger stadium will also positively impact our profitability.
      I think we should be ok, although you never know. 🤷
