Never has a song encapsulated being addicted, depressed and self-isolated so well. I'm so glad Donovan made it through rehab and became the dude he is today, otherwise this song might have been just a forgotten ode written in the last months of a long-dead junkie. So much hidden talent dies without recognition because of opiates.

I got up and danced for joy when I saw a remaster of this song was on the album and it was absolutely spectacular. This was the first time I have ever been able to sing along with a song but also feel like I was hearing it for the very first time and it was a great experience.

Much better than the original. If they just put the sound of the original in this album it would have been very jarring. I'm glad thy revived this song and actually released it instead of forgetting about it.

Hail the sun does so much better when the lyrics are more personal like this. Idk what it is about Donovan but when he's singing about anything political or philosophical it just feels awkward. This is fucking beautiful. More of this.

this isn't Anthony and he HAS NOT LEFT CIRCA SURVIVE and in fact they were just on tour. He rejoined Saosin in order to put out a new album, since that was a band he started in high school with friends. This is Donovan Melero, who also does work in Sianvar with WIll Swan of Dance Gavin Dance.

While the OG is certainly top dog, this sound is very pleasant sounding. You are correct! Try listening to this song again knowing that it's completely different from the original. I might as well say this is a completely different song.
