Hey man, I'm after 2 ACL surgeries, basketball is my biggest love and no matter how hard I would try I can't give it up, even if as a hobby. Your channel really helps a lot, I hope it will allow me to play safe in the future. Thank you
crazy how much better I was before hip and ankle injuries. semi pro for one year at age 30. then I might over train , sprints and squats everyday. thanks to you my game is still good.
You should make a in depth video on the keys of getting the maximum height on the jump. I'm sure a lot of people would find that useful. Keep up the good content I love it!
The funny thing is, back when I was still playing basketball on a daily basis, this technique becomes an automatic to someone who wants to explode to the rim/pass by defenders as a go-to-move. Back then I did not know I was doing it. Only recently I did when I played basketball with my friends again. It works and it's effective. It helps you lateral movement as well your crossover. This channel is awesome man. Keep up the good work.
Thank you for a great video. Would be awesome to get a video with ways to train these techniques but for the main concepts : stay low and on the balls of your feet, when driving by a defender it is better to take longer strides and triple extension is more effective for jumping explosively
Love this video! It has so much detail that i never thought about before and can now tweak my technique to be more explosive. thanks! would you ever do a video on spinning before finishing under the hoop and best to do it?
Yeah it maybe true that basketball can't be taught to perfection, but it's in a process of learning it for yourself. It's easy to read a book but hard how to use what you learn. Although your vids always help me complete my game. I got that extra boost I needed all along
Attention to Detail KAWHI!!! I feel like this off season with Kobe really turned him into an offensive machine. Maybe after a month or two into this season, you can review his before and after improvements too. Thanks!!
In terms of decelerating I notice that I'm often fighting my brain which wants to get into not only the negative shin angle, but also the backward lean of the upper body. I unconsciously project, "I'd like to slow down," of "I'd like to change directions," in advance of when the move should actually take place, in response to the defender, which has two negative results; 1. It cues the defender, and 2. it's inefficient. Keeping the hips engaged (low), committing my upper body forward, and using the forward leg and core to absorb and generate force feels most efficient for me. Dribble stop drilling helps cause I can use the ball and add a boxing-like exhale to get the core involved and produce deceleration force. It has taken repetitive training to COMMIT to the forward motion prior to deceleration. There are many athletic movements that are counter-intuitive to my brains set-point and need re-grooving from a neurological perspective. I sometimes think those set-points is are largely responsible for baseline athletic differences.
Hello! Could u guys make an attention to detail on pro shot system? Would be so helpful for all the players who struggles with shooting out there. Thanks!
Great video. I was wondering about your take on foot positioning during lateral change of direction. While I agree that when you initiate lateral movement and during any sagittal plane movement, you should be on the midfoot to engage the tensile structures, I always coach my players to stop using the full foot to put the ankle in a close packed position to avoid ankle injury when planting and cutting back in the opposite direction. I believe you may sacrifice some plyometric power, but you also create a more stable base upon which to decelerate. What do you think?
I'm pretty sure in soccer you can see that explosion process during corner kicks where players explode in the air for a header. example: Cristiano Ronaldo
+By Any Means Basketball, hey I have a question, is it possible to combine the shifty ball handling with tight ball handling, just to make my own twist?
I have a question when I have the ball and let's say I want to have a quick first step and I'm going to do a hezi then go to my right. Would my right foot heel touch the ground and left toes on the court be good.
I’ve always been curious to see how Steph, Lebron and other athletes get those veins to be exposed in the middle of their arms. Any possible suggestions for that?
Hey Coleman, I love your content and videos of the injury series and has been helpful to learn. Can you bring all the other videos of the injury series like Kobe, Drose, Joel Embiid reasons of injuries scientifically and the way athlectism is generated through force videos. Please Coleman 🙏🏻!!!!!
Those huge words totally cover a monitor screen. That makes it a bit difficult to read quickly. Try smaller size letters which are more centered rather than spread out over the whole screen.
Attention to Detail for the following: KAJ, Magic, Crawford, Zach Randolph, Rasheed Wallace, Aldridge, Stockton, Paul Pierce. Who else? Please. Pretty please! : )

By Any Means Basketball Please do one on Kyrie's footwork. It's one of the most efficient and underrated in basketball.
I love that you provided clips of DRose. In his prime years he was literally the sole embodiment of athleticism.
Atomic Void In the video about landing and jumping mechanics he was also an example of how not to land lol
Xniaz lol yea ik
"Prime years" Lol you wouldn't wanna see a HEALTHY D Rose in his prime years.
SmokeWheat PvP Poor guy didn't even get to his prime.
Xniaz He stole Lebron's MVP, but if he was healthy now they'd probably be a top 3 seed in the east.
i like how this channel is the brains behind basketball and others are like moves to do u go in depth and explain
Pendrill faxxx

Ur account is great. It is apparent that a great amount of knowledge is applied to making this truly helpful videos.
I really appreciate the effort and brains that go into these videos.
The instrumental is fire. Btw I think its cool that you dissected all this when I don't even think the players themselves realize it.
Thank you for a great video. Would be awesome to get a video with ways to train these techniques but for the main concepts : stay low and on the balls of your feet, when driving by a defender it is better to take longer strides and triple extension is more effective for jumping explosively

Awesome video man. Please tell me that at 9:03 the sound fx was intentional ahah. Fitted perfectly to whiteside's block!
Keep it up!!
I don't usually comment on something, but absolutely brilliant video
What I noticed is when players such as guards in attack motion as you say on the balls of your feet, they used that to surge when making a crossover
Great work, this is the brains of basketball
You guys blew up I subscribed when you had 9k and now you have 36k
This channel is so good

Please make a video about shooting mechanics

Would playing on your toes cause your loss of balance. ?
+Nick Jones it's not necessarily on your toes, it's more so on your mid foot when making cuts.
+By Any Means Basketball, hey I have a question, is it possible to combine the shifty ball handling with tight ball handling, just to make my own twist?
i love this channel
I have a question when I have the ball and let's say I want to have a quick first step and I'm going to do a hezi then go to my right.
Would my right foot heel touch the ground and left toes on the court be good.
JP 3 IMO it will be better if you will be on both toes of your feet . this allows you to have a quicker first step... hope this helps you...
skrrr skrrr ok cs it sometime look like a lot of people have their heel and toes on the court but I'll try it. Thanks
