- It’s just normal to feel afraid. We all have to face fear the first day we wake up without our dad, or without a job, with a cancelled NBA season or with the nagging thought, “when will we ever get back to normal?”
We’ve all struggled recently because when things we used to count on get cancelled, we’re tempted to question everything. Ultimately we’re all asking ourselves, “What do I do?”
In this message from Pastor Steven Furtick of Elevation Church he shares a powerful perspective that is good news for those of us feeling afraid. Through 2 Kings 6:15-17 we learn that though we can’t always change the things that make us afraid, we can ask God to, “Open our eyes that we may see,” how He is working in the middle of our fear right now.
“I’m Still Scared,” may be how I feel, but “I’m going to trust you anyway” can be how I live moving forward.

My 11 year old son said to me "This is the best quarantine ever! I ride my bike. we went on walks. I learned to drive the lawn mower. I learned that new trick on the hammock. And I don't want this to sound bad but I'm glad we are quarantined."
In his eleven year old mind, he sees more family time, more family dinners, more talks, more family game night, and more peace at home in the midst of this worldly chaos. I like his perspective. I choose his perspective.

I've been through this since childhood until I felt the burning power of Holy Spirit 3 days ago. I am now not what I was until two days ago. I was surrounded by evil forces trying to bring me down every second but not anymore. As Pastor Steven said, I have started seeing faith through my lens. I am not scared anymore. I have decided to be like him. I now understand my purpose. So, whatever I was going through / am going through is preparing me for the next step. Please keep me in your prayers. Stay strong I've personally dealt with homelessness as well as drug addiction and going to prison a few times and since I've started my walk with God things are really starting to turn around for me I still have a way to go but prayer and the word of God is making me look at things from a whole different perspective prayer can be powerfull and ya don't have to be great at speaking just tell him what's in your heart and he will listen seek him and he will reveal himself to you and will guide you through your struggles the main thing is to never give up I'll keep you in my prayers also chin up and God bless all the way from Australia 🙏

I binge watch Steven furtick like 3 days a week now, it fills me with so much extra faith & hope & strength to keep going. I’m a single mom of a 2&3 year old left their abusive father moved away from my home town, got sober, and surrendered my life to Jesus. It’s been 4 months now, I started watching Steven when I was on dope & he gave me so much faith within myself to move on. Some times I go a few days without watching & get down on myself n just have to let the chores go for the whole day n just binge watch cause it fills me with so much encouragement. My daughter will get up & scream thank you Jesus when he’s preaching hard it’s a beautiful thing lololol I get a blessing everytime, thank youuu so much because noones ever touched my soul so much!!!

This message moved me so much I am commenting. I am a 17 year old who never comments because I dont like attention. Anyway, what I am afraid of since I was little was the enemy. It has been a burden for years. I would pray at night to make the fear go away, but it never worked. At one point it has gotten so bad that I get so paranoid that someone/spiritual being is out to get me. At this point it been about 9 years dealing with this fear, so I accepted it. Today I just told me guardian about my paranoia of the enemy, because I couldnt hide it anymore. Then after everyone fell asleep, I stumbled on your video. The title spoke to me. After watching it even though I am still scared of what this path will take me, I am still facing it head on! I want to lay my head down at night not thinking about what is against me! I will say this prayer for 7 days and see what God has instore for me.

I'd ask that you all pray for me. I'm doing my best to lean on God in a season of crippling anxiety and depression. It's hard. I'm often scared. It feels like the tears never end. But I believe God is the answer yet it can be so hard in the moment to lean completely on him. I pray for all my brothers and sisters dealing with these issues. It's a scary place to try and reign in the mind and emotions when you feel you have all but lost control. Please pray for me. I have a wife and two young kids and I want to be there for them.

I was there! Around the same time as you! I’m in the midst of healing but no where near where I was by HIS GLORY and mercy! Lean in lean in lean in! I know exactly what it’s like and how in those moments it’s SO so hard to see any light or hope. Our faith the size of a mustard seed. Stick to the promise! Stick to His promise. Focus on the promise not the problem. It seems impossible, I KNOW. But train your mind to believe again. The devil thinks he won. He thinks he broke us. But we’re chosen by God!

I work in registration in an Emergency Room in South Carolina. I'm the first person people see when they walk in the door for help. I have to smile even when I'm ready to throw up my hands and say "Enough! Please keep me and the staff that I work with in your prayers. WE are going to see a Victory because the battle belong to the Lord. He is going to take what the enemy meant for evil and turn it for good!!!! I'm not alone! God is still in the boat with me!!!!

What makes it seem even more pointless sometimes is the fact that everyone is wearing masks & you can't see their faces. They have yet to confirm on Wednesday, the 13th of Jan. 2021 what stage. I have FAITH but still, I'm scared. If your group sees this message, please would you pray for me? pray for healing. James don't be afraid! I understand with everything going on in the world while you would be afraid because between my wife and I we have nine children. None of them are infants and some of them are actually grown and I also have grandchildren. I started very young at 17 years old so being with 44 year old grandfather is kind of a strange experience LOL the one thing that I feel like God reminded me the other day when I was praying to him about being scared for my children is that we have to remember God loves our children even more than we do! He created them as he created us with a purpose! God promises to protect and watch over those of us who's fear and love him! Nonetheless I am praying for you right now that God gives you and your wife a peace that passes all understanding! I'm praying that God puts his angels on every corner of your home and that you will feel his presence with you wherever you go and that you will both know in your heart but you have nothing to fear. The Bible it's not a book of poems. It's the word of Truth! And God says if he is for us then who can be against us! @@applecom1de509 To me, it means all the bad situations plus the good work together for good according to his glory to those who love him...Romans 8:28, like when Jesus was praying on the cross and he was like 'Eloi Eloi Lama Sabathani' meaning 'My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?' That time it seemed like God was so far away but God was busy working to save mankind from their sins and Jesus blood was used for our sanctification but also remember in the garden of Gethsemane, while Jesus was praying and he was like, 'Father, take this cup of suffering away from me, but it's not my will but your will be done.' And the cup of suffering was not taken away from him, but he partook it by dying on the cross as was God's will, but it all worked out for God's glory when he defeated the cross and the cup of suffering that Jesus took helped in elevating him to more glory because he defeated death and he is now seated at the right hand of the father.
I am talking too much. Anyway to me, honestly speaking, my 2021 main lesson has been seeing God working when I lack and when I have plenty. It is to thank God in my storm because in the end, God has to be glorified. And in the end, if God is glorified even when I lack, though hard it is, I will still give him the glory.

But anyway, I know that you may or may not be in a hard situation right now, but if you are, I pray that you sail through victoriously.

I have been crying out to God, I have felt like I cant even feel Him right now. This message is just what I needed, I know God called me to be a nurse, to be there during this scary time. "Have you ever woken up in a world completely different than the one you fell asleep in? Remember the first time you woke up without your dad?" I've never watched an elevation church service. I know of Elevation Worship because praise and worship is my heart, but I have never heard Pastor Furtick speak. I randomly selected this video in hopes that having the Word spoken as I tried to go to sleep would somehow bring peace to the growing anxiety within me, somehow calm the fear and silence the "what do I do?" loop on repeat in my head. I have a 7 year old son and a 70 year old mom under this roof with me, what do I do? I need to keep them safe and healthy, what do I do? I'm going insane and into debt searching for and bidding on disinfecting spray and Lysol wipes that supposedly are the things that will save my family, what do I do? I've been stuck in anxiety and depression for over two years believing that God is going to bring me out because He did it before and He is faithful to do it again but this quarantine is shoving me over the edge, what do I do? Then I make a random video selection on UA-cam and then those two questions back to back and then everything stops because yes I have and yes I do but no ones ever asked before. No one knows I've been asking "what would dad do? how would he keep us safe? how can I be him to this family right now when all I am is just me and all me wants is my dad here to hold me tight and tell me it's going to be ok? how do I show them strength when all I feel is afraid?" So I listened to what the man of God had to say and I thank Pastor Furtick for his obedience in saying every word of it. I'm one of thousands, I'm no one special, and still those two questions one right after the other. Thank you.
I really hope you aren't going into debt buying disinfecting products. You can just wash your hands with soap and water, but also use soap and water to disinfect all surfaces...

Hi Lisa: I'm praying for you. I pray that you feel in your spirit God's presence. God wants to take the place of your dad, but I understand how you would want to know what your dad would do. What do you do? You praise God in the storm. That is the only thing that works for me when I am struggling. It takes my mind off of my problems and puts me in the presence of Father God and changes the way that I look at my struggles. My struggles seem to pale in comparison to God and all that He is, all that He has done. I actually feel that He takes my focus off of the struggles and burdens, and onto Him. You can't be anyone to your family other than being you, and they have to rely on Father God to meet their needs. God loves your mom and son so much and He wants them to look to Him, and OPEN their EYES. He is protecting them. God doesn't want you to take on this burden, it's His burden. Give it to Him Lisa and He will supply all your needs and your family's needs.

Thank you for your word. I allowed something that was very small to block my joy. Please help me pray for my son who needs healing from PTSD and other mental issues he came home from after serving his country. It’s been about 12 years and yet he still battles with it. He latches against his dad, his wife and I the most. I constantly pray for his wife because I know she suffers and that is not fair.

Got hired by the 2020 Census Bureau as a census taker and also by a restaurant as a server-both in the same week! But couldn’t start training right away. Now both of those jobs are put on hold until after the quarantine. Ooooh, noooooo!! But I know God’s got me! “The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.” “All things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose.” Even though ALL THREE of my potential sources of income are put on hold, I know the Lord will continue to provide. -Helen

I dropped out of school for my bachelor's degree so I could support my family financially and raise my sons in hopes of going back to school after we are a little bit stable. Ts been 3years now, and it is not getting any better.......it is getting tougher.

Last night was my first night back in my dad's home for roughly two years. This is the house my brother passed away in. There is a darkness here and trying to sleep was nearly impossible. I kept sensing something bad, and it was terrifying. I slept in my brother's room instead, but didn't sleep until 5am. It feels like a weird coincidence that this is the sermon my dad chose to play on the tv today. I was so scared. And now I feel like I shouldn't be afraid
