The ranking of the least favorite King Crimson album to the most favorite. There are 13 King Crimson albums excluding live releases, box sets, and "projeKCts."
I saw them in 1975 and to be honest I did not fully appreciate them yet. I bought their first album when it came out, but it overwhelmed me as a 14/15 year old. I agree that they may be my favorite band now for many years.
Thanks for the comment! King Crimson is still my favorite band even though I had hard and heavy Rush and Chicago stages afterwards. I still have Crimson 1, then probably Yes, Rush, Wilson/Porcupine Tree, and Chicago in that order. Pink Foyd is up there, too. Sorry you don’t like my TOAPP assessment. I don’t remember what I said in that video anymore, but that album has some good tunes on it. I like it better than Thrak. And I think Thrak is pretty good damn good. It’s just lacking it big KC songs. No epics. Nothing too memorable that I would stake my own rep on as a recommendation. Getting back to TOAPP, Larks 3 is good. The title track is good. I like Dig Me. Industry is OK. I don’t know I just like the other albums better. KC FOR LIFE!!
For me, In The Court is no. 1; Red no.2. I'm 69, heard Court in 70. If you're younger you can have no idea of the impact of that album at the time. Schizoid followed by Talk To The Wind was like nothing else around.
The only agreement. RED., RED , ITCOTCK, LARKS Really are in no certain order There Best. I've seen this Band going back to Triple Trio. Up until 2021 Tour. One of my Favorites. All of there records they bring something to the Table. Robert Fripp along with Zappa Are just great Visionary going beyond a Guitarist. Your take is alittle different from mine which is good really.
I think I said in the video that ITCOTCK deserves it's place in the history of Rock and Prog Rock. People rank it as #1 all time. And for LTIA, I think I said some ppl would consider it the best KC album. For both of those I can't disagree. It's really up the individual's preference, but I shared my list and why KC is my favorite band. The Top 8 KC albums are all excellent. Thank you for the comment!
Years ago, it was recommended that I get that wide-mouth Crimson LP. Eventually noticed a used copy of the LP and bought it. Played it and hated it. Other than the unique album cover, it sucked. So glad that I did not buy a new copy of it. Different folks, different strokes.
@@coachplyoguy2637, That's a rather loaded question, even if it is only in the rock of the 1960's -1970's and some 1980's. I like Camel, moody Blues, Dire Straits, Pink Floyd and Super Tramp as the better of my rock group favorites. I can't say which LP is my favorite. I have been buying more used classical LP's in the last 10-12 years than anything else. I'm not locked into any style of music. I despise Rap-crap, cringe at fat ladys with horns on head opera, classical all violin music is irritating. New age music like Yanni, Arkenstone, Kitaro and Tangerine Dream are very good. Not crazy about country music, a little goes a long way. I have a good collection of popular non-rock from the 1950's-1960's. I bought a lot of contemporary Christian music back in the 1980's. At age 68 now, there is so much music, but so little time. Sorry about the long answer, but it was and is what it is.
Very interesting ranking. I didn't agree with a lot of it, but I love a good changeup! I enjoy a different opinion than the majority! Cheers!

Fair enough. What’s your favorite album?

@@LouiseTurner-x9z ok. I get it. Do you have any King Crimson albums that you like? Which ones?
@@coachplyoguy2637, No other KC's, the one I have is more than quite enough.
Starless red larks tongue. I like live crimson far more particularly jakko and belew on guitars
I like Vroom Vroom and Music is our Friend. Heavy Construction is ok.
Peter Giles doesn't appear on the first album. C'mon now!
I admitted my mistake in the ITCOTCK album review! Have mercy.
@@coachplyoguy2637 10-4, thank you.😎
OK, Three of a perfect pair is one of my favorite albums. You have lost me now. I am no longer interested in your thoughts.
It’s my son’s favorite album, and he is 15.
