Different art forms come together and melt into a single unique performance - that’s the idea behind REEPERBAHN FESTIVAL COLLIDE.
Curated with care, we permanently enrich the world wide web with a serial format celebrating music and art.
The concept:
One act, one visual artist, one shared stage.
A creative culmination where unique and custom created works of art visually accompany live performances.
Love, lust, passion - the triumvirate of the true, good, beautiful life forms something like the guiding principle of Roller Derby’s sound, a sound that circumvents any indie revival attempt and heads straight to the present. And because Philine, Manuel and Max are so good at forging their dreamy, faded interpretation of the 80s into sound, songs like “Only You” or “Starry-Eyed” have been leaving listeners wide-eyed beyond local borders. For REEPERBAHN FESTIVAL COLLIDE, the trio has taken to transposing the Cure’s classic “Friday, I’m In Love” into the present. Together with professional visual artist Benita Martis & GROSSE8, Roller Derby have successfully created an incredibly playful, colourful and, in the best sense of the word, timeless work of art that consolidates the trio as one of the most exciting newcomers in Germany today.
Reeperbahn Festival is the biggest club festival in Europe and the largest European platform for international pop culture and the music industry. Since 2006, for four days each September the Reeperbahn in Hamburg, Germany has become the centre of the international music world and a sustainable interface between artists, the public, industry representatives and society. The Conference programme is aimed at professional visitors from all segments of the music industry from around the world.
The Reeperbahn Festival takes place under the sign of togetherness - racism, sexism, homophobia and exclusion have no place with us.
