    I just found your channel and have been sort of kinda binging on it! Holy smokes! you said she is "ALMOST 3"! And she has curriculum, actually sits still enough to do some work and listen and sounds out spells and knows the days of the week and months! WHOA!!! My 2 going on 3 yr old will barely stay still for me and just now took a liking to the alphabet song, while I homeschool my 7 year old.

      haha I'm so happy you like my channel that much! You rock!! yeah she is just over 3 now. This was back when she first started her curriculum. We had taken the whole year before to work on her attention span and do some "tot schooling" basics. But she still struggles to sit still for very long. 3 year olds are known to just want to go go go lol

      @BrittanyLynnHomeschool  4 роки тому

      Thank you! I really don't do anything specific. When I see that she's holding it wrong, I help her adjust it. Eventually, all I have to do is ask her to hold it properly, and she will fix it on her own.

      I totally know what you mean! It’s a lot to do both. Someday I can get Samaras lessons done while Leilah does handwriting practice and independent reading. Other times I’ll have my husband help out by playing with the one child while I work with the other. Since he’s working from home, he can help out on breaks.

    Thanks again Brittany for sharing this class with us! :) your little ones are soo cute! and sooo smart. Also, thank you for recommending the curriculum "The Good and the Beautiful", I finally ordered it and I'm using this for my eldest, (we're a bit behind) but she seems to be really enjoying it! specially the exercises for how to use scissors I thought it was great! I can't believe how they're not taking the time to exercise this in public kindergarten (???) Not sure why. Anyway, my daughter has been practicing! :) Great work! and be proud of what you do, your daughters seem to love their classes. Big hugs! x

    Love your videos. I just recently found your channel and I have been so inspired to work with my now 3 year old. Like you said in one of your comments I’m working on his attention span through tot schooling. I plan to start the good and the beautiful when he turns 4. My main worry is him holding his pencil/dry erase marker. How did you get the girls to master this? Did you do any specific activities with them?

    Hi,I love your videos. I have a quick question about TG&TB curriculum. I am not a Christian or religious at all so I'll be doing secular homeschooling. But I really like TG&TB. My question is how Christian/religious is it? Are we talking whole chapters about Bible or ocasional mention as an example? Also is Math section Christian too?

    • @BrittanyLynnHomeschool
      @BrittanyLynnHomeschool  3 роки тому +1

      There are not entire sections related to the Bible or God. There are certain mentions of God, creation, and it uses examples to teach morals. There are certain phrases in math that relate patterns in nature back to God's creation. I hope this helps!

    • @BrittanyLynnHomeschool
      @BrittanyLynnHomeschool  4 роки тому

      I do some things together with them, and other things I like to do separately if I can. My husband works from home and is able to help out occasionally by playing with whichever child I'm not working with. If he is working though, I try to have one child work on an activity they can do independently while I focus with the other.

      @JennCG 4 роки тому

      Thanks so much for responding! I have been nervous to start the program because of the lack of previous letter sound knowledge. Is it a new letter each day or do you go into further study before moving on?

    • @BrittanyLynnHomeschool
      @BrittanyLynnHomeschool  4 роки тому +2

      There is no requirement for knowing letter sounds before starting the prek course! It isn't a new letter each day. It is more gradual. Usually a couple of lessons will include the same letter, practicing uppercase and lowercase.

      Sometimes finding a different way to get them started to have interest in writing is good. Like if they like painting than have them practice with that. Or dry erase markers on their own little board. My boys were like that. Or just started with simple shapes circles and lines first to.boost their confidence first than they were willing to try harder things.
      Even sand or rice On a 0late or tray write with fingers in that or shape letters with playdoh
