You’re using the ult like it’s doomfist when it really is the opposite, instead of become invulnerable you’re stationary and super vulnerable, instead of doing nothing, Hazard’s ult actually does something
Zbra if you play him again turn on the preplacement for his wall BUT set the confirmation button to 'abilty 2 release' That way you can still use it normally like you do without that setting but if you do need to preplacee just hold E and it will show you the preview of the wall
i really feel like hazard ult is one of those ults that can be huge in certain situations, but needs to be used proactively instead of reactively and needs a lot of coordination
I feel like hazard is just a better doomfist imo, hazard's slam does 80 dmg and is on a lower cooldown + you can bhop slam with it, his block is a resource that deals damage. And his wall is just there to deny people from running away. Plus his ult is just better for confirming kills.
He can do different things for sure, but calling him a better doom doesn’t seems right. Plus when vs’ing him on df it’s very easy to abuse cc against him if you peel or just kill his back like while he’s lacking an ability to leap back to his team.
Hazard is a Doomfist with better design. Doomfist current kit is such a nightmare to balance because of constant access to non-conditional CC tbh. Hazard doesn't really have hard CC outside his ULT and a few boops at most with his slash and wall, his mobility isn't as crazy as Doom either, but it does have more uptime in the sense vaulting terrain is always a thing. There's def going to be DF maps and Hazard maps, they both at different enough and excel in their respective areas
It would probably fuck up the emp combo in all honesty but it would be satisfying enemies ping pong around around especially if you get another punch or hazard jumps them back into the wall again
I feel like they should take some power away from his block and give it to the rest of him. Make the primary fire spread a little smaller and/or bring the dmg from 67.5 to like 70 or 75. #1 thing though would be to change the shift by making the jump a little faster. You could also bring wall from like 20 to 25dmg if that’s even what it is

Hazard is a confusing character to play. For context, I've been maining tanks since the dark ages, but i had absolutely no idea what i was doing. He is decent at brawling, decent at diving, decent at making space, decent at walling, good cc utility on ult and bad at poke. That said, compared to tanks that do that one thing specifically, he sucks, can't brawl as well as rein or ram, can't dive like doom or winton , can't wall like orisa or 🤢mauga, ult not as good as zarya or sigma for team fight cc. He's the definition of Jack of all trades master of none. In my 20ish hours of playing him, i still have no idea what I'm supposed to be doing, but somehow according to my victory screens and my raw stats I'm doing something right.
Alr if his block is on resource shouldn’t dooms? It’s only logical or hazard ability should be block and if it gets stunned or sum it should be on cooldown, bit powerful if u ask me.

Even if you can get behind him (which means you're over extended or Haz over extended) he can close distance or escape rapidly via leap and just cover himself with his wall.

They have a lot of similarities and in each similarity other than movement Haz is better. But not even by that much because Hazard’s jump is on a short cooldown and he has wall climb. They both have shotguns but Hazard’s is better, they both have block but Hazard’s has no cooldown and does damage and reloads his shotgun so it’s also better. Haz has a lot more health and has armor which is really good right now. The only thing that Doom has that is way better is a smaller hitbox but that’s really it. But Haz also has the wall to take less damage if he needs, and it also does damage and you can people off. I will say Doom’s ult is better, but you can get picks on squishies so much easier on Haz without ult

Ow devs saw omen from paladins and said "ooh! I want that" and decided to also make a character that just has a bunch of copied and remixed abilities from their other characters to make something just bad. Omen did it, and so did hazard.
Imma say it. It's actually easier to balance resource meters even though it seems more annoying cause then all you have to do is increase the resource lessen the resource rather than ruin cooldown rotations. Hate to bring her up but before they actually properly adjusted Orisa's cooldowns she felt really janky and this can make a character not feel fun to play. Resources can make a character feel more fluid. Dva is annoying not because of resource but because of the power of DM.

The bhop happens before he's landed meaning the ability is still in use and he can still use the slash unlike Winston who does the splash landing before the bhop, dealing some damage with the move ending and then perserving momentum into the bhop. If Winston's was the same he'd have his splash landing when he lands after the bhop, not the initial landing.
i don’t mind his damage but i’m so tired of 1 million hp tanks. bring it down slightly and i think this is a pretty solid hero. he’s just a hodgepodge of every character in the game and the wall doesn’t really fit well with how he plays but he’s ok. the wall just feels extra which is fine but still.
Yeah it all seems a little to much. Perhaps his block should only have a resistance value of 50% instead of 80%? Or at least increase his CDs? Wall seems really powerful and leap comes back way to quick.

Hazards block doesn't give you one of the single best offensive cooldowns in the game.

Overall I like the new tank. Imo he has a little much going on with his kit though, I feel like the wallclimb especially was an unnecessary addition
the wall climb was probably only added since they gave him a very short leap which makes his leap not useful to get up onto really high locations

i don’t mind his damage but i’m so tired of 1 million hp tanks. bring it down slightly and i think this is a pretty solid hero. he’s just a hodgepodge of every character in the game and the wall doesn’t really fit well with how he plays but he’s ok. the wall just feels extra which is fine but still.

Yeah it all seems a little to much. Perhaps his block should only have a resistance value of 50% instead of 80%? Or at least increase his CDs? Wall seems really powerful and leap comes back way to quick.
