Nice, was wanting this since you mentioned it in the gold video. How would you say this compares to something like 25 spray, I know that’s your go-to pre and that’s what I’m using as of now
I feel 25 has a more rounded approach for everything and this is more of a luxury thing. Not sure I’d use this every day

Could you do a review on all the scents from Root and Muddle? Since they have like, 6 scents and they also have a matte clay.

Great review. I'm not exactly sure if they are trying to start a new category of hair products to join pre-stylers, post styler, salt sprays etc etc. Not sure why I would buy this but you did a very good job of explaining what they do and the differences.
It’s kinda like a prestyler mixed with the conditioning properties of a mask, I guess is one way to categorize it haha

I tried both. The scents were too overpowering for me. I had to wash it out, immediately. Does the scent stick around all day? I wish they would make an unscented version.

There are so many better choices when it comes to silicone, rather than the regular dimethicone in this product. Especially since dimethicone builds up over time on the hair, and other silicones wash out easier. Not all silicones are created equal and I internally cringe when I see dimethicone as the first silicone in a formula.
This is not something you would be using every day though, so buildup is really a non-issue imo. And I think dimethicone is used in most hair masks because of the fact that it doesn’t completely wash out immediately, that way it has a chance to remain in the hair for a bit and do its work.
@@TDMStyle Just to clarify, I wouldn't say anything, or be nitpicky if it wasn't $80 bucks. Dimethicone is so common in conditioners and hair products that I feel some people would just be adding to their pre-existing build up with this. A lot of your videos shows good products with better silicones, so it probably isn't a problem for you though! I just think there are plenty of silicones that can last 24 hours or more in the hair which would offer the same benefits (creating a nonpolar barrier that seals in nutrients for a deep mask, smoothness, etc.). Like even the gold leaf is nonsense, same with the deep sea water... As if those minerals are any different than normally sourced minerals. Kinda reminds me of that $300 La Mer product where the creator consulted astrology to come up with fermented seaweed from some deep sea lol! Like I said, I wouldn't say anything at all if it was just the $28 product. I believe it really works and makes the hair soft as hell
