Man, it is so good to see you Jerold, and Walter, and the Porsche! We missed you! Your channel is one of my favorites! I hope to see you again regularly.
I have my suitcase and will travel....to the beach! Thanks for posting. What a nice ole 356. They are simple analog cars that hearken back to a different era in motoring. Your 356 is a wonderful back roads cruiser and twisty's champ,
Thanks for the update having watched the rehab of this beautiful 356 from the beginning and seeing it still brings a bit of jealousy and a smile to my face. 💯💯💯👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Great to see you again! And there's Walter! Yay! I love that car. It's what brought me to the channel and I have enjoyed every one of the videos you have shown us. Thanks, and Woof to Walter.
Nice to see a new video! I'm always struck by how similar the California countryside is to many areas on the east coast of Australia. Looks like there are some nice drives around there.
First video of yours that I ever watched was your oil change / drive to beach 912. Haven't checked in here for a very long time. So, it's funny that I finally check in, and your latest video is same again, but with the 356. (that was such a great project series) You're like the zen of oil change. Always great to see Walter
I'm picking up my first 356 on Tuesday after wanting one for 20 years and negotiating on this one for 14 months! Have the winter now to get it into driving condition..
The sign said 40mph, but you must have been going at least 41! Good to see you and Walter. It was just an oil change and short drive, but we need these videos. Thanks!
Travelled to Sebring while in college stored luggage for my brother and i on the back seat, with a sleeping bag on top, parents took their 911, the famiky dog decided the back seat of the 356 would be his location rather than dads lap
Jerod, it's always a pleasure to see another video from you. My wife and I miss your videos. Great video as always. The 356 looks and sounds great! It was especially nice to see an appearance from Walter. My wife and I have been wondering if you've done anything with the I3 build. We ask each other that every time we see an I3. Any new I3 updates? As always, we look forward to future videos.
The I3 has made a great daily driver. I will need to find a fully electric version to modify since the Rex version has to pass smog. I’m waiting on prices to drop some more on the fully electric versions
I’m curious about the 3 small gauges on the dash. My ‘62B T6 also has them, and I’ve only seen a few that way. Do you have the COA to see if the car came with them installed that way?
Do you notice a difference with oil filters or just buy whatever? The mahle you installed was different than what you removed. O’Reilly has the Wix filter which would be convenient since they’re easy to pick up in person
I buy whichever version Pelican Parts has in stock because I can pick it up from them next day. I haven’t noticed a difference. I didn’t know Wix made one.
Hi Jerod. How did you install the priming pump on your 356 and what typ is it? Today I am using a "boat-bulb-pump" as priming, but an elcetrical seems much more convinient 🙂. Tor in Sweden.
I researched primer pump for Porsche 356 and found a kit. Then I bought the same pump used in the kit on eBay for much less. I installed the pump below the fuel tank.
Hi Jerod - I noticed that you added oil into the oil filter canister on your 356 but not into the canister on your 912. Is this a different oil-change procedure for the 356's? Am asking only because I have a '68 912.
People gave me a hard time for not adding it on the 912 oil change video so I did it on the 356. Either way is fine. Not all of the oil goes through the filter. It’s designed so that even if the filter is clogged the engine will not be starved of oil. Only a small amount of oils goes through the filter at a time so it’s fine to just let the car fill the canister while it’s running.
Good show! Thoughts on the ZR1? Also, thanks for showing the detail. I'll have this task in just a few short years/decades when I get my 64 buttoned back up.
Man, it is so good to see you Jerold, and Walter, and the Porsche! We missed you! Your channel is one of my favorites! I hope to see you again regularly.
luv this car. The rebuild on it was one of my fav of any restoration series...
Gotta love that crystal clear view of Catalina!
Great to see you again!

Good to see a video. Life happens but would live to see an update on the FJ40.
Great to see you again. You have been missed.
Good to see you and Walter again. Hope you're fine.
👍💪✌

Great content and no goofy background music - so nice…
She looks more beautiful than ever she a queen. And beautiful view . I am glad you drive it and not a trailer queen good to see.
Nice to see a video from you again!
I used to live in Harbor City, so the neighborhoods are familiar...
Great to see you again!
And there's Walter! Yay!
I love that car. It's what brought me to the channel and I have enjoyed every one of the videos you have shown us.
Thanks, and Woof to Walter.
I've always loved the look of the older Porsches.
Nice to see a new video! I'm always struck by how similar the California countryside is to many areas on the east coast of Australia. Looks like there are some nice drives around there.
So nice you're back - you've been missed. It looks really good the Porsche...🤩
Good to see you back…..buy another wreck so we can watch you rebuild it!
👍👍✌️ Miss your videos
Good to see you again and off course your 356 👍🏼
Such a nice car
Long time no see
Yeah it’s been a while. I hope to have a few more videos out soon. I finally finished the FJ40 so should have a new video on that soon.
Took the words right out of my mouth 😉 Great to see you and Walter again Jerod!
Great to see you posting again Say hi to Walter!
Just such a cool and authentic car.
Thanks for sharing.
Walter, Walter, Walter!!
I love your videos.
Great video Jerod- Thanks!
amazing dog !! the car is so beautiful 🙏🏻🚗
Whatever happened to your Model T? That was an awesome build! I loved the patina look! This Porsche is awesome too! Great to see you, man!
I sold the Model T. It went to a guy in Florida… I’m not sure he ever drove it though
@@Jerod_Helt Oh nice! I'd drive one for sure. Then again, where I live, it's like the dang autobahn

Dude, been way too long. Always stoked to see your vids.
Lucky Walter, beautiful car ❤

Awesome! Congratulations!
Dude this is my dream to build sick cars!!

Just re-watching again and when the oil filter handle broke at 1:10, my knuckles were screaming.
Loved the distance shots!!! Looked like a classic movie.
Hi dear Jerod; it looks like the road from Cagliari to Villasimius: South-Sardinia-Italy... how wonderful, thanks!
Great, relaxing video. Thanks
I missed you two.

The first video I saw in this channel was a oil change on a 912. Nice video as always!!
always a pleasure to watch ...
It’s good to have you back.
Welcome back
Good to see you and Walter. Enjoyed watching the oil change. I guess it was a B I had back in the day. Cabriolet.
Great video. Love the Porsche.
Great video 😊
Using the correct and best oil too!
Es una preciosura tu auto saludos de México 😊
Very cool, I love the 356, my brother recently let me drive his James dean replica Porsche, hopefully I will get a chance to drive his356 also

Great vid - chilling with Walter!
Does he ever go on the rides to the beach?
Unfortunately he hates riding in cars
And hey….would enjoy some Porsche driving videos😊
Suweet! Good job!
Suggest you clean the drain screen next oil change-the round cover with all the nuts holding it on.
👏👍

I don’t have the COA, and I’m not a fan of the gauges.
Walter made the video.

I missed seeing you working on the Porsche - or any car actually.

Great.
Ill do the same then. But I will use a 6 volt pump. Think I saw something on another link.

I’ve never driven a ZR1
@@Jerod_Helt Sorry VR1 oil.
It’s supposed to be good for these older engines.
The sound is the same the beetle I used to drive
❤un chiche❤
tu as la vidéo de la restauration de cette voiture?
Yes there is a link in the video description
@@Jerod_Helt thanks for the info
Any plans to continue on the Toyota truck?
I just finished the Toyota Land Cruiser. I should have a new video out soon.
Öl 15w50 ?? 15w40 ??? 10w60 ????
I never had my oil that dirty in my 356B
It looks dirtier on camera then in person
It looked clean enough on the dipstick!
I would put the luggage on the back seats
