I have a 2006 TJ Rubicon, I bought it in 2008 with 37k. Green. Black cloth interior. Hard and soft tops. It must have been one of the last ones to roll off the assembly line as it’s manufactured date is also 2006. I’ve pretty much changed out everything (radiator, heating system, AC, breaks, oil distributor, exhaust system, etc) at least once. Still original clutch. No lift, no crazy mods. A few minor rust spots on the body, but the frame and undercarriage are great. I’ve had people offer me 15k for it and it has almost 200k miles. I change all fluids with regularity and keep it washed. I’m never letting it go.
Nice! Sounds like you have been a great caretaker. Keep it going, glad you still have it. With some work and proper maintenance they will go a long long time.
This is definitely my favorite Jeep, the Rubicon TJ! The green with that tan interior is awesome and what I was looking to find. But after 3 months, I settled on an '05 TJ Rocky Mtn, black with black interior. Not too keen on a dark interior. I'm finishing up the interior with black & blue Bartact seat covers and grip handles. And painting most of the dash and interior door panels light grey. Looks sharp now. Just wish I had found this, I wouldn't have had to do anything to it. Are those 31 or 32" Bfg ko2's?
@@johnstonmotors 31's are best on a stock TJ. In fact, I might get rid of the 2 - 2.5" lift my TJ had on it when I got it. Once it's time to replace the 32" ko2's, I will most likely go with 31's.
