From your youtube video target group is from 1st std to 12th if I am correct. The entire presentation revolves around your experience and it is good. It brought lots of authencity. Some suggestions if you are planning to do some more videos on READING 1. Recommend/Suggest list of books for different age groups. 2. Prioritize the books in each group. Some books you may put in " must read category" 3. Advice parents not to monitor children like are they reading the book "cover to cover "etc... . Simetimes they read the book after one year. Treat money spent on buying books as investment. 4. Read some lines as it is from the book during presentation. It gives additional feel 5. Reading a book is an experience with each page we can sit for hours imagining lots which even the author is not thought off. This is not possible with vusual media. 6. Encourage youngsters to read history books as well as novels. Novels even though not fully realistic some "take away" (your word i am borrowing) will be there to adapt in our life- virtual learning. Regarding history it is essential to know our past. 7. The above are my random thoughts came after listening your video.

Start reading habit from childhood. If parents are interested in reading, usually kids follow them. Kids who read have more vocabulary, more thinking skill and academically do better.sadly, few schools give importance to reading habit beyond their school syllabus. The last line u said is very valid. There is no hard and fast rule that u shud complete a book.

Hi Dhanya Varma, I really enjoyed watching THP primarily because of your anchoring style. I don’t read books but my children love reading especially 16 year old son. What I have noticed is that he does read so fast ( he used to read from year 1 and those days I used to ask him questions (what/when /why type) I couldn’t find a fault . Later I asked him spellings... all good there too & he surprised me . But since 2-3 years maybe because he doesn’t read word by word ( novels) , he does the same thing with his academics & especially when he writes the exams now you might have guessed what happens 🤦♀️ he cannot answer properly! Have you had issues like this or (any one reading this comment faced such issues) how to correct it ( as a mother I used to remind him occasionally, but you know how the teenagers are like 🤷♀️🤷♀️) Yes DV I did subscribe & shared this video💖
I am sorry I haven't faced this issue...reading for pleasure is very different from studying for exams in my understanding...I think I would approach the two differently..you could talk to a counsellor/therapist to know more I guess...

Have you had issues like this or (any one reading this comment faced such issues) how to correct it ( as a mother I used to remind him occasionally, but you know how the teenagers are like 🤷♀️🤷♀️)
Yes DV I did subscribe & shared this video💖
I am sorry I haven't faced this issue...reading for pleasure is very different from studying for exams in my understanding...I think I would approach the two differently..you could talk to a counsellor/therapist to know more I guess...
Dhanya Varma Thank you for your reply 💖
