His main complaints are that the characters are relatable and that (and this is pretty much a movie only thing bar Deadpool and to an extent She-Hulk) they're not very serious during tense situations. He prefers his superheroes the DC way, aloof from the rest of humanity and always serious.

X men is one of my favorite Marvel team because they usually have the most realistic character development (especially when their written by Chris Claremont), memorable story arcs, and a lot of great writer runs, my favorites (ex Claremont) are Grant Morrison, Jason Aaron, Rick Remender's X-Force run, and Chris Yost and Craig Kyle's run on both X-Force and the storyline Second Coming.
I am lucky enough to be able to go to a barcade and play this game on the legendary 6-player cabinet. Its always a good time with both friends and strangers.
The last time I saw Dazzler was before Secret Wars. The only thing I can really remember that she did was that she was the mutant enhancement drug, then she blasted Mystique out of a window.

I used to play this game a few times some years ago during Teen Game Night at my library. I did find some type of trick to this.When you have a swarm of enemies when you die,activate your special immediately when you hit the ground cause the invincible frames don't count to drain away your LP. Pretty helpful tip for when you play this the next time.

I've played on a 6 player cabinet at Yomocon 2015 in Detroit.
The only real experience I have with X-men is the Deadpool movie, which was really good. Collosus especially was great.
