Well then the people who run the completion decided to change it to March. My orthodontist said they looked great and thought I was about to get them off. So I’m hoping that maybe just maybe I can get them off before my competition.
I've had my braces for 10 months, and a couple months ago I hit the "I want them off" stage. Update: I've had my braces for 22 months, and I'm somewhere between the "I want them off before my senior pictures" (which is true) and the "I want them off now" phase.
They didn't take my braces off before my senior pictures. They told me two years, and I did everything they told me to do, but when two years had passed, they told me six more months. Then, I got my senior portraits date. It was just a few weeks after I was supposed to get my braces off. I was so upset. When I went to my portraits appointment, the photographer asked when I was getting my braces off, and I told her. She said that the portrait deadline was just a couple of weeks after I was getting my braces off, so she said she would take my portraits with my braces, but I could come back after I got my braces off if I wanted. Right before my senior year started in August (the portrait deadline was mid-October; I was originally supposed to get my braces off in Mayish), I broke a bracket for the first time. It wasn't my fault; they had put the bracket on crooked in the first place, and the day they told me that I wasn't getting my braces off on time, they replaced the bracket and tried to put it on straight, but it took them three tries because they kept doing it wrong, and it broke off when they rewired my braces. So I was supposed to go to get that one bracket replaced in the afternoon after my first day of senior year. When I got to the office, they sat me down, looked at my teeth, and told me, "It turns out we're not going to put on a new bracket; we're just going to do the impressions for your retainer, and you can come back in two weeks, and we'll take your braces off." I had plenty of time to get new senior portraits, and it was the first photo of myself in two years that I actually liked. And that's the story of good braces karma, I guess. How someone else completely failing to get my bracket on properly helped me get my braces off sooner.

I'm 32 and need braces. The pain from braces can't be worse than my upper jaw collapsing
How did that happen??
@@msharic85 bro I've had weirder things in my life
I was 2 and i fell on my face and my front teeth are crooked because of it so i got braces today and it already hurts lmao
@@ydboss I'm a girl, a whole woman!! 😅 But seriously, I know what it's like to have crazy front teeth. I chipped one at the park when I was about 10. Now, I'm in my 2nd set of adult braces at 37. It's cool tho, we're doing a good thing for our teeth & overall health. Just remember to keep them clean & don't forget to smile!! 😁
@@msharic85 I'm at day 2 and I already can't stand the pain lmao
@@ydboss The pain goes away everyday & only the 1st few adjustments are tough. They get less painful as your treatment goes on, at least that's how it's been in my case. Try not to anything that requires lots of chewing (like steak) within the first few days of an adjustment. A good soup will help & maybe a scoop of ice cream! ❤️🩹
The filter is crazy😂😂😂😂
Am I the only one who cried when they were taking them off? Not because of the pain, I liked them :(
samee I got them off a week ago after 7 months of treatment, I miss them already!
Im on the “they’re so hugeeee” stage hahaha
BRUH YALL DONT WANT BRACES THEY HURT WHEN IT COMES TO COLOR CHANGE
edit:it depends on how tight they do it
edit 2: i almost cried when i got them on
edit 3:when i mean colors i mean the bands they put around the brace’s
What do you mean colors on? I'm 1 month with my braces, and they put bands around them when they first put them on, so I'm not sure what you mean.
I had my wires exchanged on Tuesday and the pain was unbearable yet my family took me to a buffet the same day 😞
Y'all sometimes your teeth get tender and that's when you feel pain while eating, but it's all good since that is what's supposed to happen. Don't worry after a few days it'll feel normal again!
The 1st and 2nd day was accurate 💀
That’s a filter 😂
Not the filter not filtering😅😅😂😂😂
Day one was the worst day of braces for me
Naahhhhh u killed me in Day 2 😭😭💀🗣️
I’m at the “omg there huge” stage 😂
“Omg they’re huge” is exactly what I thought💀 “put them back on”😂😂
And here I am having braces for 45 months
That's rough buddy 😢
im getting them the DAY BEFORE SCHOOL STARTS
THE “OMG they’re hugggeeee” IS SO TRUE 💀
“What was that?” “ Nothing!” Killed me 🤣 luv your vids!
That’s so relatable 😂. The first day was nothing but when I woke up the next day my jaw was in PAIN 😅
After 2 days it quickly got better tho and pain meds helped a lot the first 2 days
i actually hope i keep my braces forever😭😭theyve become a part of me
Im in the "I wanna be done but I want it to be perfect"
Dont forget the power chains😂
I am on „it doesn’t even hurt phase“
That second one was too relatable
Ironically I miss my braces. They made me feel really confident
As someone who was in braces for 4 years, it was like this but wayy extended 😭
Not the filter 😂
I’m on the “it hurts but in getting used to it but I still hate it” phase
My braces came off the day before my senior pictures. 😂
I’ll be happy to have my braces back my mouth feels so nacked without them it feels like i have no teeth
I’m in my “ one month” phase😭
That’s so true. 16 months in can’t wait
I’m so scared that when I get braces I’ll get a gap in my teeth. I keep seeing videos of people that had braces and got a gap😥
He hit the eleven with the “I WANT THEM OFF NOW!”😂
Bro I had these and this is so relatable
Im in my " Is dont even hurt" Phase😂
this is so relatable it didnt hurt at all on the first day of having braces but then the 2nd day it did and about 1 week later they stopped hurting
I’m in my 6 month phase and ice will be your best friend the first week
