In this video I designed a Shamseh (Sun-like) pattern so you can see the steps toward designing a type of the Shamseh. The type will be repeated to make the whole pattern.
Tazhib or Persian illumination considered as an islamic art too. In Trurkish the name is Tezhip and in arabic zokhrofa (زخرفه)
