The lore of Ikana is one the deepest, darkest, and most fascinating mysteries in the Zelda franchise. If only Nintendo would explore on this further.. atleast give us a canonical book, like Hyrule Historia, but with backstories and unexplained Zelda lore. Especially stuff about Termina, and all the juicy dark stuff from TP and the interlopers. Heck, give us a whole series of chapter books explaining stories and loopholes and Zelda timelines!!! I'll take anything!!! C'MON NINTENDO, I WANT MORE LORE 😭
@Rose's Zen Garden the garo could be from mms version of ganondorf but in mm ganon is in a different nation and the king of ikana Is his relative like his brother and wants to kill him for his land and rule
FINALLY, SOMEONE WHO TRULY UNDERSTANDS! Dude, you have no idea how much I Y E A R N just for a mere crumble of Igus du Ikana lore and some Garo lore, like, who the fuck are the Garo? You can't just have a character deliver one of the coldest lines in video game history, "To die without leaving a corpse... That is the way of us Garo.", and the give us NOTHING but that!!!
Actually, due to the lore suggestions all around it, we probably know more about it than any other area in the game. The rest are just what they are. A town, a swamp, a bay, a mountain. But Ikana Canyon and everything in it has soooo much little lore tidbits. But at the same time, we know next to nothing about it.
I hope the sequel brings back old dungeons because I was not a fan of the new ones. The mechanics of each dungeon was cool but only for a while. Bosses were also a let down.
Botw love it or hate it was a huge step for the series. Its not perfect by any means but that just means there is huge potential for the series to improve which is why I love it so much
TLOZ equivalent of LOTR's land of the dead. I always loved the sense of mystery and ancient lore that accompanied this area in the game. Lovely remix btw.
its hard to find alot of stuff about ikana at all. this song blows me out of the water. this is so damn impressive. when i played and first heard the song and seen the area of ikana i loved it. but i always felt there could be more with the song to add to the atmosphere of the castle and this song really does the trick. great work.
I'm sorry if this has already been asked 90,000 times. Are you just one person working on these projects? I just discovered this channel recently, and almost instantly fell in love. Improvements of the Zelda songs we all know and love? Hell yes! Keep up the good work, this is great!
If I could compose music for a Zelda game, I would make it sound edgy, unsettling, and scary. It would invoke a sense of urgency and fear, making you want to get out of that dungeon as fast as possible.
I know you focus primarily on Zelda, but can you make a History Maker instrumental? I can't find a good full version for choir and Spring Concert is in a few weeks.
Daaaaamn son, this one is awesome! Is this one also with your new drum samples? Because they sound alot better now. In the time of your absence I've listened countless hours of your music. It is clear that you are going for a new sound instead of doing the same again. It is working out great for you! I love it! May I ask why actually the change of overall sound? I'm genuinely interested! Like did you learn something else/new or did you have an important experience the past year?
The piece has great ongoing tension, excellent use of powerfull songs to give the listener a sense of imposing dread. The piece shares many similarities with the soundtracks of the FIre Emblem franchise, especially the combat OSTs
Hm... I've never associated this piece with Fire Emblem before. Personally, I kinda started to think this piece is more similar to the indoor chapters OSTs, where you have to defeat a troublesome boss. But then, I don't understand anything about music. I'm only a lay, avid listener. haha Anyway,. thanks for explaining.
"You shall see with your own eyes...Just what kind of thing true darkness really is."
"I grant you a soldier who has no heart. One who shall not falter in the darkness."

I feel like ikana was an underrated lore aspect of the series. Id love to know more about it.
BRO ME TOO!! “legend of Zelda: The Rise and Fall of Icana” I can see it now!
@@itsyahomiescott3742 what about Echoes of Ikana? implying both the unknown history of the kingdom and the heavy air of death that looms in Ikana
@@ironicmedic3912 That works too!

I like to think Fierce Deity came from Ikana before he was a mask
Ikana believe how great this is.
The Majoraty of his music is great, if not all
Michael Monroe If Hylian Ensemble stops making music again, I'll feel empty as an elegy.
Michael Monroe nice pun there
Necarroga You shouldn't have said that.
It's my hippocratic oath to order you to stop these puns
Please never ever stop making music... I'm so incredibly happy this channel is active again.
Me too! I was getting worried for a while!
You released this on the same day as BREATH OF THE WILD. That day was the best day ever for Zelda fans.
BOTW is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good
Sam Ringstrom not really.
@@rigistroni it's ok

I love how this song just exudes a sense of authority.
The dead don’t rest in Ikana!
Wait a minute. I recognize you from somewhere Magolor

You've kept and reinforced the epic/tense ambiance of this theme :)

Souryma +1
This remix is just perfect. that is all, thank you
*Oh, insolent one who has brought the unthinkable into a land as dark as Ikana...*

Mostly because there is no need to repeat myself. But overall it is not that different, just changing a few details here and there.
I LOVE YOU
Wow! You've been busy.
Ruined? why you say ruined?
This is epic!!!
Kirbenɖу the Kiиɖ Star not the song ruined it is epic, but the castle itself is on ruins
so epic
Ikana will rise again
If this is ruined, then please, ruin some more!
All hail Lord Ains - Uh I mean Igos Du Ikana
Even in undeath, I would serve
OH MY F*CKING GOD
IT IS GREAT
Sounds like a Zelda Sith theme (0_0')
Why are you so good at this? I just don't get it :P
i think Ikana King.. has Ganon looks..
this song always reminded me of Conan the barbarian
I just beat this castle.
It look's like that he has seen my comment.
I am kind of interested how the Stallord theme would end up or Death Sword's battle theme.
6 people forgot to bring a powder keg
HURRAY FOR RUINING IT!! XD you earned a like, looking forward to the next one you "ruin" lol
Is it me or my Marvel Fan ass read Hylians Assemble?
Would love to see the crossover of them in any form
Huh, this could be a Fire Emblem soundtrack
o.O
Can you explain why?

I feel like if they somehow worked Ikana into botw2 that would be cool
They will find a way. They worked the arbiters grounds into botw 1
