- A man had his hand hacked in a horror machete attack in East Kilbride..
Residents heard blood curdling screams in the street after the bloodbath attack in the Lanarkshire town on Wednesday, July 31.
Armed officers swarmed the quiet estate in Whinfell Gardens after two injured men were found at 11pm.
A resident, who spoke anonymously, told how one blood-soaked victim was desperately holding onto his hand which had been severed.
They told the Record: “It was a horror attack. I heard a blood curdling scream and someone shouting for help.
"I then saw two young men injured and appearing to be hiding whilst calling out for the police.
"One man was holding his arm and was soaked in blood, his hand was barely attached.
"Five police cars and armed officers turned up."
Husband choked to death on false teeth
The resident told how hero neighbours desperately tried to give first aid while waiting for emergency services to arrive.
They added: "The street was then filled with neighbours who had run out to help.
"Some people were phoning for police and ambulance, others were giving first aid.
"There was blood everywhere.
"One of the men said they had been attacked with a machete.
"The two men were taken away in an ambulance and the street was cordoned off.
"Everyone here is very scared the attacker will come back."
The victims were rushed to Wishaw General Hospital following the bloodbath.
Police are hunting the knife maniac behind the horror incident.
A spokesperson for the Force said: "Around 1.05am on Wednesday, 31 July, 2024 we were called to a report of an assault at premises in Whinfell Gardens, East Kilbride.

My personal observation is that, :- if the police are looking for white British suspects, they will clearly state that the suspects are White British and will give the names if known.
Whereas if the suspects are non white British, there will be a general lack of information about their ethnicity or names, as this may inform the public that this is a crime committed by foreigners.
So whenever a crime is committed and there seems to be a serious lack of information, I have to assume that “ visible minorities” are involved.

On April 14th, 2018 something similar happened in East Kilbride. A Home raid with 5 Aggressors involving a Machete! The Homeowner was a Doctor, got threaten to be killed and got slashed on the leg. Later 2 men were arrested.
On another occasion someone got 15 months for hiding a machete back 2021. Same Area. I don't know, but it looks like machetes are trending in this particular area.

About a month ago a pair of criminals attacked someone with machetes and stole the mans electric bike whilst he was riding back from work , this was 3 streets away from where i live, 2 week ago someone was robbed at knife point on the next street to where i live, a teenage girl has also gone missing, and last week there was a stabbing near the local Aldi a few hours before my dad went out shopping at the Aldi, people just need to type in there local news just to see how bad things are really getting because most things don't even make the national news.

I think he is referring to the last knife attack where it was being reported that the perpetrator was welsh ,but he was actually the son of an immigrant from a country in Africa, I say a country in Africa in case I get it wrong and get arrested for misinformation.

look up the news! East Kilbride has several cases with Machete involvement.
2021 Daniel Dodds was arrested and sentenced for 15 months for possession of a Machete.
2018 a Home Raid happened, with 5 robbers involved, threatening a Doctors and his family. The man got slashed at the leg. 2 men got arrested later, whose DNA was found in one of the cars, that they failed to steal and had to leave behind. They got 8 and 9 year sentences. Their names are Declan McCluskey and Michael McInnes.
Just saying it has become normal for whatever reason at this particular area.

@@IvanGideon-x7n I used a machete style knife (though it's more of an old butchers knife, think meat cleaver but three times as long) to chop kindling for our fire pit in the garden as it's a lot easier and more controlled than using a (just as deadly in the wrong hands) axe. I have also easily made knives myself using tool steel that you can buy very easily. Banning things isn't the way forward. Drugs are banned. Handguns are banned. But all still on our streets, they are just used by criminals who don't care if something is banned and bought on the black market. Also worthy of note is that traditional machetes have a heavier curved tip that makes it impractical to stab with so they are mostly for chopping or because they look scary to intimidate, these kids stabbing each other are using mostly kitchen knives or 'hunting knives' that do have a point made for stabbing, or the so called 'zombie knives' that are basically machetes, but with a pointed tip for stabbing.
Ban machetes, they'll use axes. Ban axes, they'll use kitchen knives. Ban kitchen knives they'll use screwdrivers. Ban screwdrivers, they'll use sharpened bike spokes. Ban anything pointy they'll use acid. Banning stuff doesn't work.

@@nemanjastankovic4439 carrying a knife in public for no good reason is already illegal. What's the point in banning something that has legitimate uses that law abiding people use when the criminals will just get them and use them anyway regardless of a ban. Banning stuff doesn't affect criminals, but it does affect people who use something legitimately.
If I'm honest I would rather be hit with a machete and get a deep cut on my arm than be stabbed with a kitchen knife and get a punctured lung or heart, but the government needs to be doing something even if it is a knee jerk, get the big scary things off the street, kind of reminds me of the XL bully ban, my old Akita would've torn an XL bully to shreds but I guess because it's fluffy it doesn't look as dangerous.
