Spent my summer school holdays (1987/1988) in Sharimardon. Back then the town was very easly accessable . I remember the town had a lovely cinema, where I watch a Bollywood movie, Disco Dancer.
I took a train in the USA from Massachusetts to Washington state just about three days travel we didnt have usb ports hell the outlets didnt work in my car nor the button to call the woman that assists the elderly or disabled i dont have bad disability like i did a couple years ago i had to work hard to get better but on the train didnt see gopniks i just sat next to a drug addict. The Kids are awesome im sure they will grow up to be good guys i feel. Dave your not mr besast. Your Dave the LEGEND. You saved me from horrible depression just watching your vids and it would help me relax and forget bad stuff and this eventually backed me off from doing something lets say really bad and a final act. You r vids mean a lot. Keep rocking. Your the legend so make a damn candy bar like beast i guess did what would be the Legend Bar be made of?

Would be great to have the little map in the corner more often, to better follow where you started from and where you currently are during the video.
watching these videos i often have google maps at hand so that i can check out where the places he mentions are located, i recommend it because it's much more immersive i think!

I have to say, I am amazed at taxi prices in that part of the world. I live in Australia, you see. It costs like $25 USD for a 5 km taxi ride 🤐

In Russia taxi costs less than in Uzbekistan as the gas is cheaper
While far from being the most inescapable city/town/village in the world or even city of at least 500,000 inhabitants, the most inescapable city of at least 500,000 residents that is in a free country with a high standards of living (in my and probably many peoples opinions) is the city I was born and live in, Winnipeg, MB, Canada (pop slightly under 800,000) In general is not a bad or ugly city but there is not particularly a lot of things to do visit here except from the Manitoba Museum (museum of local and Canadian history and culture) controversial Human Rights Museum (which I don’t particularly care for as it is missing many important human rights issues and also is largely empty as a lot of it’s space is just meant to look nice), the art gallery and the zoo (also the last 2 I don’t particularly care for). Yes there is definitely many cities of at least 500,000 residents that are also not particularly interesting but the additional problem is that once you have fitted in all the fun high/medium key things to do, you don’t have anywhere fun to go. Winnipeg is in the middle of a very boring flat and empty prairie (several times bigger than Germany) and goes all the way 3000 kms south to Texas, 1400 km west to the Rockies, 200 km east to the boreal forest, and 400 km north to the quite boring large prairie-boreal forest transition zone (1000 km north if you wanna exit the prairies totally). The prairies look all the same all these kms. To make things worse the nearest relatively interesting city is Minneapolis which is 700 km southeast and then Edmonton and Calgary 1300 west. The nearest world class cities like Chicago, Vancouver, and Toronto are 1,400 to 2000 kms away. While the relatively close boreal forest to the east is very beautiful (landscape wise nicer than certain interesting regions of Europe) it does not compare to the natural attractions of places like the Rockies hands down. 2 years of Covid lockdowns though useful, sucked big time in Winnipeg especially. If you lived in a city like Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver, Seattle, you had the choice of visiting the nearby national parks throughout all but the first lockdown as national parks generally had lots of room for social distancing. Even if you wanna get away for a short break to a relatively large low key city, it will be a waste of time as the nearest city of at least 100,000 residents is 500 kms away. Winnipeg’s flight connections for a city it’s size are also not great. All it’s flights are domestic, US bound, or charter flights to kitschy all inclusive resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean. Flights to the US are also somewhat limited. There is no flights to most world class American cities like NY, Washington D.C, or Chicago. Local flights, bus and train travel in Canada and the US is very expensive (unlike Europe or Asia) and the only affordable way out is the low cost airlines whose amount of flight destinations is somewhat limited.
I think you have some of the best and for sure some of the most interesting content on UA-cam! I love your videos!

Awesome video and the weather there was very nice id love to try this myself but i walk with a cane. Do these countries help or have decent access for people with disability or is it a Though S*it. Situation?
developing countries usually don't have proper accessibility for disabled people unfortunately.
i would recommend you travel with someone that could assist you in case of need, otherwise it might be dangerous.

My understanding is that the standard of Russian is quite low in Uzbekistan now. Did you have any issues?
In big cities of Uzbekistan almost everybody is bilingual. There might be a problem in country-side, but you can always find a Russian speaking person. I am suprised how good the Uzbek kids in the train speak Russian.
First!
Just a few comments here (from someone who watches your videos frequently), I hope you won’t take them personally;
- you’ve mispronounced Kyrgyzstan to the point one could not listen anymore, given your interest in geography and ex Soviet republics, it’s rather surprising. It really doesn’t take too long to learn basic things like this and make an effort to research it properly prior to exploring those places, which without a doubt are interesting.
Similar story with other names in Uzbekistan (and other ex Soviet republics), it’s rather important how you pronounce things both in English & Russian so that your viewers (and native speakers of those languages) can better understand you.
E.g. Fergana (or Vorkuta in your previous explorations) is pronounced as if you spoke Italian while you actually described it in English / Russian, accent is stressed in the wrong syllable hence often giving the impression that you spoke of entirely different place
- quite recently Bald & Bankrupt successfully reached Sokh exclave and all he needed was the current schedule of flights between destination A&B so that he could plan things ahead to buy tickets on time. You speak communicative Russian which should enable you to plan in advance, I guess. Try to get yourself organised and contact places prior to arrival in the local area to have that knowledge that might be helpful in future planning and you might be in better position to achieve your goals
One might not think much of the above, but trust me it does make the difference. You often make a great effort to reach places that have not been explored much or not at all and give a great feedback to your viewers, which is plausible. I hope you keep up the good work and push yourself to reach bigger audience with such interesting content. Greetings.
