Im 36. I grew up in TX. for those that think Californians are changing your state you're wrong. The most radical liberal people I personally know were born and and raised there. I went to HIGH SCHOOL WITH THEM. You raised them.
The issue is the public schools. Maybe more people should have homeschooled but I didn’t think homeschooling was necessary until 2020 even though I knew the school system tried to indoctrinate kids. I also didn’t know about opportunities available to homeschool kids. The point is I don’t judge parents of the past 20 years too harshly because they didn’t know what they didn’t know about the public schools. I went to the public school and they didn’t indoctrinate me. But I graduated 30 years ago. The schools seem to be more brazen now. For example, I didn’t pick up on any political indoctrination until middle school. Now they start the indoctrination in Kindergarten or earlier.
Trust me.. for my age group... It's college... And the parents who wanted to be better than their own parents" and didn't discipline... didn't teach them what they knew. Just worked and let the system raise them.
There's a fix for public schools everywhere (not just TX.) FL Gov. Ron DeSantis proved it, by individually allotting the same funds spent on public schools in FL to parent's choices of either homeschooling, private schools (both religious and non-religious), magnet schools, or your regular neighborhood public school. The students' allottment comes out of the public schools' allottment, unless the parents choose the public school choice. It's working quite well in FL! But this won't work in states that elect RINOS and Marxist-teachers' union-supporting Democrats.
